My PDF documents do not print correctly

When I try to print a PDF with more than one page, only the
first one prints correctly, the rest of the pages print a a smudge
in the upper left hand corner.

Thanks for trying out with a different browser. It certainly looks like some setting on your Internet Explorer is not allowing you to access the links. Can you check the following settings:
1. What is the version of Internet Explorer that you are using
2. Check for the Pop Up Blocker settings. Maybe the Pop Up blocker is prohibiting the opening of PDFs. Try turning it Off.
3. Also, can you please check whether you have an Add On for Adobe PDF listed in your Internet Explorer. You can gather the required information to do the same from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/pdf.htm (Under the Steps specific to Windows XP Service Pack 2 section)
Hopefully one of these works out for you.

  • Pdf documents will not print properly

my imac running 10.5.8 will not print some pdf documents properly.  In particular sheet music will only print as horizontal and vertical lines - the symbols and notes do not print.  The 'print preview' shows all the symbols and notation correctly.
This occurs in both Adobe Acrobat (v10.1.3) and Preview (v 4.2 - 469.5).
Printer in use is a HP 2600n connected via USB cable.

Seems it's not sending the Font to the Printer, or the Font has a conflict & the Printer thinks it's another Font.
Open Font Book & Validate all Fonts & check for duplicates.

  • Document will not print correctly

I have a Photosmart 3210xi All-in-One. Have had it connected to a desktop and everything prints fine. Recently was provided a laptop (Dell Latitude D505). Connected this up to the printer. Tried printing a document. The print preview looks good, but the document when printed does not. It appears (what little I know) to print out the "computereze"--i.e., all the commands, etc. Yesterday, it printed 8 pages of this before I stopped it.
How do I get it to print the document correctly?

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull
the power cord from the printer then from the
wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to
wall and printer. This will trigger a ‘dirty power
up’ and restore the printer to a known good
condition (if it is possible). No user settings
are lost with a ‘hard reset’.
This ‘Hard Reset’ is one of the most powerful
tools to use when the printer hardware is not
    functioning properly!
if not resolved, uninstall hp software &
reinstall using latest  hp software from hp
    website.

  • PDF Document will not print on wireless network

Recently purchased Fujitsu laptop with Vista Home Premium O/S, 2.4 Gig chip, 2 Gig Ram. Printer is Canon Image Class 880 multi-function printer. I am able to print Microsoft Word documents via the wireless network and can also print documents off of the web on the wireless network, except for downloaded PDF files.
When I try to print a PDF file, the print box will come up and show the correct printer. When I click OK in the print box, a "Progress" dialog box comes up and indicates "preparing" as a percentage of the total document the computer is trying to send to the printer. Then, the box turns grey, and a message comes up saying Adobe Reader had a problem and has shut down. Also, Windows Document Execution Prevention then comes up saying a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
I'm not sure which version of Adobe reader came with the computer, but it was upgraded to 8.1.2 on 2/12/08.
Any helpful ideas will be appreciated.

  • PDF will not print correctly from any app

I seem to keep on getting the same error everywhere I print on SL (from safari/firefox/preview etc etc)
It will usually print any lines or logos but miss all text?? I did have the dreaded adobe reader installed but have since removed it?
I am in urgent need of printing out some manuals for a class so in real trouble, help!

Where do these PDFs that do not print correctly come from? Are they downloaded from the internet or from email? Or do you create them yourself on your computer? If so, in which program?
Do some PDF files print correctly, but not others? Did you remove the dreaded Acrobat Reader before this problem developed or after? Did this problem develop only after you ungraded to a certain release of Snow Leopard or has it never worked in SL?
PDF is wonderful technology, but every so often there can be issues.

  • Added text & signatures do not print correctly

I am using Acrobat Reader v10.4.4 on my iPad Mini with IOS 6.1.2 and am having issues printing. I can open any PDF and have it displayed correctly. I can add text and signatures and the document is saved correctly because it can be opened after the changes are made and they are still there. When I try to print the document where I have added text and signatures to, the document does not print correctly. All of the text and the signature are shrunk to a very small size and appear in the lower left hand of the page.
I depend on my apps to work they way they should and having this issue makes my work very hard. I have to be very creative and perform unnecessary steps to get my PDF's to print the way they should. Does anyone have some insight in to this bug?

    Hi,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We would like to investigate this issue at our end and if you could share one such pdf file in which you are facing the issue at [email protected], that would greatly help us.
    Thanks,

  • Scanned documents do not print out correctly on forms.

I scanned a pdf file to my computer.  I opened the pdf file on my computer using Adobe Reader.  I printed the file using my printer.  The pdf file did not print out correctly.  The printed text was out of alignment with the form I was printing on.  The printer/scanner manufacturer troubleshot the problem and determined it is not a hardware issue, but an Adobe Reader software issue.  Please help.  Thank you.

Yes, the scanned PDF size is the same as the paper size in my printer.  Everything worked fine for the past year.  The only thing I had changed was I purchased a new wireless HP printer/scanner.  Before, I was using an USB cable.  While troubleshooting my issues, I have somehow caused Adobe Reader X to quit working.  I cannot open any PDF files.  I get a message about system configuration is not compatiable.

  • Embedded fonts in pdfs not printing correctly

Since updating to 10.5, I've run into a really annoying problem: when printing pdfs, many embedded fonts will not print correctly. Korinna, for example, prints as something totally different. I've tried using both Preview and Adobe Reader, and no luck. Help!

  • How can I disable the "this PDF document might not be displayed correctly" notification?

Almost all PDF files produce the "this PDF document might not be displayed correctly" message when viewed with the built-in PDF viewer.
This message does not convey useful information. It appears on almost all PDF files (even though they usually work correctly after all); it sometimes fails to appear even on files that don't work (so it does not accurately predict whether a given file will work); when a file doesn't work, there is no way to make it work short of using an external viewer (so the error I'm being warned about is not something I can fix); and it demands a user action to dismiss it EVERY TIME it appears (so it places a disproportionate demand on my attention). How can I disable it?
Please note that I am not looking for instructions on how to disable the built-in PDF viewer. I just want to turn off the warning message.

The only way to stop this message is to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and use another viewer.<br />
On Linux you only have an older version of the Adobe Reader available, so you may have to open the PDF files in an external viewer like evince.
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).

  • 11x17 tabloid does not print correctly

I am using an HP Photosmart printer model 8550, my previous printer was an HP Photosmart 8750. That printer died and the 8550 is the newer model of the same printer. When trying to print an 11X17 document in tabloid, the page does not print correctly nor does it show in preview mode correctly. The page shifts to the upper left corner so that the left side and top of the document do not print. If you scale down the size you can get it to print the whole documentm but you cannot get it to use the whole 11x17 page. Anyone else with this problem and a solution? Thanks!

I am having a similar problem.  I have windows XL,
and a hp Deskjet 9800.  I have been using PM 6.5 ever since it came out.  I publish a newsletter using tabloid fold in half, under booklet.  So it is a really a 4 page document.  It has always done fine until this week.  It prints the copy in reduced format that would fit on a 8 1\2 x 11.  I have tried every setting possible, with no success.  Today I downloaded the trial 7.0 version, it does the same thing.  I went back and printed old versions that a 3 & 4 years old they won't print right now, either.
It's old software and new operating system/printer drivers. You are unlikely to get any help from Adobe or HP but you can try.
Create a PDF and print that as it's unlikely the DeskJet has PS mode.
BTW, booklet printing is far easier with ISO paper sizes.
Move on up to InDesign while you can still get a big discount with PM Licence number.

  • Adobr Reader XI: document will not print: premium presentation paper

I've had no problems with this before today. Adobe Reader XI gives me an error message that "document will not print". I tried it in draft, plain paper, and it printed, without a problem. I switched browsers, from Google Chrome, redownloaded the document (online labels) into IE8, then tried to reprint as premuim presentation paper, matte, color. Same error message. Yet, as a draft, no problem. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated drivers on Epson printer (WF2530), same error message. AShould I do a system restore to two days ago, since this is the last time there was no problem? I print product labels.

    Thanks Atul,
Th problem has recently been resolved when my new technician made some adjustmnents. The problem was not the fault of Acrobat. It goes back to my new high definition IPS monitor several weeks earlier. When using Windows Office 2007 I was seeeing green haloes mainly between letters such as" ll, ii, db" etc. where the vertical lines filled with green. In Adobe Bridge, the variable text in control boxes took on a red colour. My technician (at the time) sought help via the Microsoft Help site and found this was a common problem with professional high definition IPS monitors like my new one. The instructions (4 pages from the Microsoft site)  said to turn off the Clear Text Type and replace the font 'SEGOE' with Tahoma. As the technician workede his way through the steps, I watched as he marked them off as he went so as to ensure the changes were correctly made. This solved the problem but it wasn't until a week later when I tried to print a PDF file that my problems with Acrobat began. The PC was taken to another technican fora "second opinion" and this man fixed the problem within a short time by changing the font back to the Windows default, SEGOE. He may have done something else but when I saw the printer dialog panel on his workbench with no other problems either, I was anxious to try it with my new monitor. No more colour fringing/haloes etc and no further problems with Acrobat However, I was waiting a little longer before informing you of the outcome-just in case it didn't work.
It seems that Microsoft may be incorrect in their 'Fix' advice as the font SEGO may well be required for Acrobat to print a PDF file?
This case may now be closed with thanks for trying to help with a problem that in the end turned out to not your fault
    Bob

  • PDF documents suddenly not opening in Firefox 3.5.6

I'm running Windows XP and using Adobe Reader 9.2 with Acrobat 6.0 installed.
In the last couple of weeks Adobe Reader has suddenly stopped opening some PDF documents (but not all) in Firefox 3.5.6.
The error message is attached.  "The Adobe/Acrobat Reader that is running cannot be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Please exit Adobe/Acrobat Reader and exit your web browser and try again".
Any ideas what has gone wrong?

You might want to check here to see if you have everything configured correctly.
