How do I convert my PDF file to a editable Word document?  I tried the export method and the result was not usable.

Can you try in safe mode please?

    filled out pdf form, did not save, cannot locate

    Hi angel07h,
    Did you try to save the file, but the save was unsuccessful? Or did you just not have a chance to save the file? Where did you get the form? Did you download it from a website, or fill it out directly on a website?
    I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • Pdf to word, not exporting as a .docx but as a "File"

    can anyone help me, when ever i export my pdf file through t
    he web page it saves just as a "file" and not a .docx which means that i can open the document in word
    . Help please

    Good day chubby_ranks,
    It sounds like when the file was being saved to your local computer, the file extension--.docx--was stripped from the saved file.  Try adding the extension to your file and opening it in Word.
    Kind regards,

  • Video clip did not export in the Slide show

    I recently created a photo slideshow in Aperture for my grandmother's funeral.  I exported it as a movie to play through apple tv but when it played the slideshow, the video clip was not there.  When I preview the slideshow in Aperture, its there and it works.  But it did not work as an exported movie.  any suggestions?

    My friend gave me his presentation into which he wants me to embed video clips of him talking on each page. The video clips will be made in Photo Booth when he comes to my house. I have made a practice video clip of myself with Photo Booth and see how there might be problems, and if so, what can I do?
    The pages were initially text and graphs made in Excel and then placed into his PC Powerpoint program. Then I put that Powerpoint presentation into my Keynote program and thought that all was going well with my transitional devices and first and second page created in Keypoint.
    Alas, the problem now is that I can get the original page to show up, and I can get the little video clip to show up, but I don't know how to make the window stay open until the video clip ends (when he finishes speaking to the page).
    Do you have any thoughts about what I can do? Should I record him on the iMac's video cam rather than Photo Booth? If so, that's going to be new for me, since I have had this new iMac for only two weeks now.

  • Why does my exported mp4 file look so bad when it is viewed in adobe acrobat pdf file?

    I have embedded an mp4 (exported from premier pro cs6) video file into adobe acrobat and its not sharp viewing of my video anymore. It was a sharp video when viewed in both premier and the exported mp4 files, but once embedded in acrobat it looses sharpness, anyone know what the problem might be? Could my settings  in adobe acrobat be wrong? I would think the problem is in adobe acrobat since the exported mp4 video views crisp and clear before its embedded, any ideas to assure sharpness with my video after its embedded into the adobe acrobat pdf?
    Hoping someone has an answer to this, I think my problem might lie within the adobe acrobat settings????
    or maybe there is no way around and I need to expect this video not to look as crisp and clear after I embed it into acrobat.... as it is when viewing in premier pro, mp4, etc.????
    Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.
    Someone Im sure is taking theri exported premier files and embedding them to create pdf files? Would love to hear if anyone has encountered this issue.
    Thanks so much in advance for any help offered.

    Hi Dave,
    I just completed a test and comparison between the two PDF's,
    compared the file as you suggested with the floating option and changing setting to actual size of the original premier pro / mp4 file size and
    the old pdf that did not utilize the floating and file size option.
    I do notice a slight difference. The PDF with the floating window with the match of the media clips original dimensions appears to be crisper.
    I will be having the final pdf document set utilizing this method for the embeded mp4 movie and hope that the department doing this (next stage of this job) will agree that this is better to use your steps to embed all the video files into a pdf.
    Thanks so much for your time.
    Hope you had a happy holiday, and hope you have a very happy and healthy new year.
    Thanks, Amy

  • Muse 2014 not exporting video

    I just updated a previous website and when I exported to html, the video did not export. It previews just file in preview page mode and preview site mode but will not export.

    Part of the problem solved. The actual video IS exporting. In order to see it, I found that you have to actually upload it to your server and go live with it. The preview MUSE gives you after packaging (exporting html) does not show the embedded video at all.

    Did you try using Preview. If you control click on the PDF on your desktop you can use the "open with" option.

    Do you happen to have Dial Assist on? This is in Settings>Phone. This is what helps the phone identify international numbers when dialing, based on location. See if turning that off/on makes a difference. Unless you are making a number of international calls, I believe this can be left off. See the User Guide http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf  Page 49 has info regarding Dial Assist.

    Good day Hudda,
    I've seen this behavior a few times over the last few months.  You could try disabling the 'Recognize text' function, but it may not help.  We're anticipating an update to the ExportPDF service within the next few weeks that should help with issues like this, but I don't have an immediate solution for you.
    Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Exporting PDF files from SSRS 2012 - "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired"

    Good day
    I have the situation where we are exporting PDF files from reporting services in our website.
    When dividing the data into sections, the report exports perfectly, but when exporting the entire set and trying to open the file, we get the following error in Adobe Reader:
    "There was an error opening this document.  The file is damaged and could not be repaired"
    We tried to repair the file, no luck.  We tried to use different PDF readers, no luck
    We then checked the file sizes.  When exporting the subsections, each section exports a file of about 2mb.
    When exporting the entire set, the file is about 1.3mb.
    Adding all the sections together gives me a rough estimate of 40mb.
    Exporting to TIFF works beautifully and returns a file of 41.5mb. Word and Excel formats also work well, only issue there is the page numbering and formatting.
     The problem we have is the clients are adamant about having it in PDF format.
    Any advice please?

    This was one of the temporary suggestions I gave the client...
    Unfortunately they do not like this as the page numbering and formatting in Word does not appear right.  We are talking about over 1300 pages.  I can't expect them to change the formatting with each export.  Additionally,  the data is
    constantly changing and each client has their own data.  The clients export the reports randomly.  I therefore can't post the reports back onto the server.
    Thanks for the speedy response though

  • Exporting to PDF from rpt file and charts within not exported properly

    I am having issues when export .rpt file to pdf report using crystal report java. When exporting from Crystal Report, it displays the charts and boarders properly but when exporting using Java application the back ground colors and boarders disappears or fades. It makes the report look unprofessional. I am using version 2.0.
    Looking at this release note  at  the this link (http://www.businessobjects.com/products/dev_zone/eclipse/cr4e-updates-readme.pdf )  I see a reference to "JRC SDK RTF exporting is not consistent with CR RTF exporting" has been fixed in Release Update 8. I tried the latest release but it seems it has release update 4 only. So, my question is where do I get Release update 8? I am hoping that will fix my issue or if anybody has any suggestions that will help me resolve it. If you can reply at your earliest, I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Here is snippet of code how I am exporting rpt file to pdf file. I didn't include every code here but I am hoping this will give you the idea. Please let me know if you need more info.
    public byte[] runReport(RPTParameters para) throws SQLException {
    byte[] reportData = null;
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDocument = null;
    try {
         reportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
         reportClientDocument.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
         reportClientDocument.open(ReportDataConstants.CPS_RPT_FILE, OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
         ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
         PDFExportFormatOptions pdfOptions = new PDFExportFormatOptions();
         exportOptions.setExportFormatType(ReportExportFormat.PDF);
         exportOptions.setFormatOptions(pdfOptions);
         ParameterFieldController paramFieldController = reportClientDocument.getDataDefController().getParameterFieldController();
         paramFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "@ba", para.getBusinessAgreement());
         paramFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "ReportMonth", para.getMonth());
         paramFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "ReportYear", para.getYear());
         InputStream reportInputStream = reportClientDocument.getPrintOutputController().export(exportOptions);
         reportData = new byte <reportInputStream.available()>;
         reportInputStream.read(reportData);
    catch (ReportSDKException e) {
    finally {
    return reportData;

  • Export multi page pdf to excel (searching did not answer my problem)

    I searched the forum and found a few related posts but none have seemed to work for me. I do not use Acrobat much so am not all that familiar with it. I am using Acrobat Professional 8.
    I have a multi page pdf that I want to export to excel. When I choose 'edit > select all' everything highlights. I then right click on the highlighted portion and ask it to 'open table in spread sheet'. It does so but only exports one page of the pdf.
    I have set 'view >page display > single page continuous' but still have had no luck. If someone would help I would greatly appreciate it. Please be specific with menu commands as I may not know where to find something if you just give me the last command.

    Hi,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
    You can print a multiple pages of a single PDF file on one page.
    File - Print - Under page size and handling, click on Multiple and then select pages per sheet accordingly.
    You can print through Adobe PDF Printer which will save a new PDF file with multiple pages on single page.
    Once you have this PDF file, then you can export it to TIFF for your application.
    Let me know if this is what you were looking for.
