'My Personal Diary' App

I had recently installed the app 'My Personal Diary' in my BlackBerry Bold 9780. I had found the product very good, user friendly and convenient. Since I liked it quite a lot, I started using it extensively and a lot of my data was entered into it. So far so good.
Recently I had to reload the OS 6 on my BB 9780 and prior to that I had backed up EVERYTHING through the BB Desktop software on my PC. After reloading the OS 6, I restored all that I'd backed up. But now I find that though the app 'My Personal Diary' has been restored, all the data which was inside it has vanished! Where has it gone? Can I restore only that in some way? Please help.

Is "My Personal Diary" app saving data on your phone, SD card or through the web via the vendor's server?

On my iPod touch I don't have a spotlight search icon or option available. Also under my settings and general there is no "restriction" options or settings. I reset the iPod several times and that doesn't work.
The thing is the music that is on my iPod is not all in my iTunes library so I can never sync automatically. Also if i restore to factory settings then it will erase what i have on my iPod and not in my library. I always manually add songs. When I plug in my iPod and i go under Summary...the only other tabs are music, tv shows, photos and info. There is no Apps tab. When i plug in my iPhone i do get the apps tab.
I got my iTouch awhile ago....is it possible that this is why i can't get apps?? I got the iTouch back in 2008.
Ughhh this is so frustrating. I just want to get this one app on my iPod Touch. Please help!!

You mean the "Calendar" app?
What are you syncing Calendars with? Perhaps you have a corrupt one.

Diary App with PDF output support

I have an MA course this term for which I need to keep a learning diary. Could you recommend a diary app using which I can export all the entries to a PDF and have it printed as a book?

Figured it out myself! yay! (only took my entire moring)
The solution:
Dont print to PDF!
SAVE AS COPY, then select Adobe PDF and click SAVE, this will bring up a dialog box with the options you need (including the "High Quality Print" Adobe PDF Preset)

Are there any type of wanderlust/travel/future life goals type of diary apps?

I am trying desperately in the app store on my mac to find a diary like application that isn't just about journalism.
I have these future goals to go back to school, become a midwife and travel but I can never seem to keep these goals, especially if I'm not writing them down. It would be awesome to find an app that does something like this. I remember seeing something similar to my description a loooooong time ago in the app store on my phone and I haven't been able to find it since because I forgot the name of it. I just want a diary i can put my goals into and update them.
(If i can't find one, i may have to learn about coding and start my own app!)
I doubt I'll get very much help and I really hope my question doesn't get pulled down for being moronic or a waste of time.
I'd pay big money for app that can help me manage my life goals and travel goals!

What is the best personal finance/checkbook app for the MacBook Pro that syncs with the iPad?

I would not use a Microsoft OS to do this. If you are concerned about the security of your info over WiFi I suggest you not make use of Mac OS. Recent headlines show that they are considering hiring Windows Vista security persons to beef up theirs.

What is the best diary app ?

I need to keep a daily diary and want to be able to transfer the diary between my PC and iPhone.
I want to use both my PC and my iPhone for adding to the diary and be able to keep a backup on my PC.
Most the diary entries will be written using my PC, but when Im not at my PC I want to be able to write them on my iPhone.
Then sync between my PC and iPhone so both are always up to date.
Ive searched for "Diary" but it comes up with over 200 results !
Its a shame I cant display these results in order of their ratings ?

I got a G3 iMac with 1GB RAM , 80GB HD runs Tiger ok... for 20 quid!, takes a lil bit of time doing some tasks and most of iLife is a no-no but ye ..ok for dev softwares and such... check ebay ..prolly get a g4 for 20's now ...was about a year ago when got the g3
I was giving OS X software just because this is Apples own forum, I wasn't expecting anyone to be wanting windows apps that's all. sorry I can't recommend any windows software as I haven't used any.
Maybe try a Windows software forum or Microsoft website ?!
I had a quick google about and found a few places which you may/may not find useful(links below)... I hope you find something suitable. Often times best bet is to just try 3 or 4 differnt appsout of the plethora available.....pick the one most suited. Then keep trying an app per week till you find 'the one'
Oh btw..When I was searching for a diary like app for OS X it took me an age to realized this type of app will be described as a 'Journal ' by US programmers and subsequently most the rest of the world -rather than a diary . I noticed you are in UK and guessed you might have been searching for diary application?

Best personal finance app for mac?

I'm looking for the best finance app for my iMac. I'm most interested in tracking my accounts -- banking and investments. I'd like to have the software on my two iMacs and on 2 MacBooks without purchasing the product 4 times. Budgeting function is not a great need as I'm retired. I've been using Quicken for Windows.

Why not stay with Quicken and use Quicken for Mac? I searched the support site for you and found that you will be licensed for three installations with one purchase. So, unless you can forego quicken on one computer, you will have to purchase two copies.

How do I transfer to other person the apps I bought?

I´ve bought an McBook Air and gave my iPad 1 to my daughter. Since I´ll not use the apps I bought for the iPad (in fact a lot of them), and probably will not buy another one, I´d like to transfer the apps to her. It would be possible? She has an account at App Store for her iPhone.

Teh only way she can keep access to those apps is to continue to use your APple ID (Or the ID they were bought under). Which also means she can't keep her iPhone as it is and sync anything with the iPad.
She either keeps your ID on the iPad and keeps two different ID's for two different devices (something she'll have to be aware of when she syncs them or buys other apps) or she'll need to wipe the iPad and start over with her ID. (which means she'll lose your apps)

- With synchronized with iCloud data between various devices;
- The producer of which is not escaped and is not unavailable for 3 years, leaving a final version from the times of the cows; :-)
- That work and with a efficient synchronization between devices with iCloud (and with these two conditions have excluded 99% of the App Store); :-)

Calendar/diary apps usable across mac and windows

Does anyone know of any apps/programmes that i can download on an I pad that also will work simultaneously on a windows system so i can network them, that also has the ability to save to a cloud. I want to be able to customise appts, eg 10 15 , 1130 and copy across each week. If not all of this possible would be great to achieve some of it!

Exactly. Pushes the changes between devices. Make all the changes you want, then when you reconnect to the network, they will be updated. Caution: It wouldn't be good to make changes on multiple devices and then try to sync. There could be conflicts. But I believe that it would work as you are describing. Try it out with small changes first (using specific test calendars/contacts you create) to make sure you can see what it is doing.

Keeping a personal diary/journal

I'm working on an exciting project and I want to document what happens every day. Is iCal the best format? If so, is there a special software for journal/diary writing? Thanks.

I also have a Iphone 4s and lost hotspot after this latest update. Device is not jailbroken, connected to Telstra network from new, purchased from Telstra and Hotspot was available and working right up until I did the update. Very frustrating because I use it all the time. Can some one please help.

Creating personal iPad apps

I currently have InDesign CS6 and would like to use it to create iPad apps to showcase portfolio experience and share with clients. I do not need this to be published to the Apple store, but rather would like to use it within our office and to share with clients. Do I need DPS in order to achieve this, or is that only required for large-scale publishing? I'm unfamiliar with the publishing process and what is required for that. Thank you!

Thank you, Bob. I had hoped this would be the case. I just tried playing around with making a test app to see if it worked, though, and when I go to preview it does not show the connected iPad as an option for viewing. A dialog pops up saying to make sure that Viewer is open on the connected device (which it is), so I'm not sure why it wouldn't see the device. Is this perhaps because I am working on a Windows machine instead of a Mac? Any help is appreciated - thank you!
