My phone (4s) won't connect to any wifi since the ios7.0.2 upgrade
Since updating to 7.0.2 my iphone won't connect to any wifi network. I've done all the steps in help from forgetting the network to a full software reset and setting the phone up as a new device. Vodafone assured me that the next upgrade would correct the problem, it hasn't! They are now refusing to honour the warranty because the phone is now beyond its warranty ( due to waiting for the upgrade ).
I've Been assured by the tech guys at the local apple store that the problem is not hardware because the phone can see the networks.
Anyone know if apple have any plans to fix the wifi problem any if so when ?
Yes I've already restored the phone, once unconnected and again via iTunes, both times I set it up as a new phone and didn't restore the data or settings, I also deleted the iCloud account first so it couldn't backup from the cloud. The fault was exactly the same each time.
As far as the warranty I'm sick of arguing with Vodafone, the phone was in warranty when I reported the fault so you would think that they would honor the warranty, however I'm told by Vodafone that when I asked for a repair the warranty had expired.
Apple tell you all about European consumer law which provides additional protection, when you look into this it is advisory only and has no enforcement powers ( I've checked this with the ecl website).
Basically I'm stuck between two multinational companies that appear not to give a s*** about their customers!

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings. -

Tell me something about the wireless router you use. What sort of security do you use? Is there a shared password? Do you use MAC address filtering on the router that only allows devices with certain MAC addresses to connect? What sort of rules and services have you allowed on your router? If you are able to connect to other wireless networks all I can think of is that it might be a router setting that has changed.

before realeasing an update. Thousands of iPhone 5 owners have been saddled with another error to pay
for in Apples ineptness. We should get a credit for all the time we have to troubleshoot for them.

I have had my iPhone 5 for aabout 3 months or so. And a few days ago, it stopped wanting to connect to wifi. I have tried connecting to other wifi networks, so it's not just our router. I have also tried turning LTE off, connecting, and turning it back on. That worked for a few minutes, then stopped. I have tried forgeting the network, and reseting my network settings. Hello, my IPHONE 3G suddenly stopped connecting to my home wifi; before i have no problem. Lately it stopped connecting but after turning it off/on it works again. Now, a few hours after updating to 2.2.1, it can't connect to wifi anymore, I was surfing then it disconnected. I tried everything, reset, factory default and even resetting my home wifi router but no success. Interestingly, other 2 ipod touch and 3 laptops have no prob with my home wifi. Please help...

Yes, i believe it is already a hardware problem because I tried everything. And yes, I cannot connect anymore to other networks which i usually get connected. Although my iphone can see those wifi networks but can't connect anymore.
My prob is my iphone is ordered from a store in the philippines and that store bought it in Hong Kong, this is an open line Iphone 3G. I checked the warranty online and it says up to Oct. 30 this year. I hope they will fix this at Vancouver Apple Store. I have an appointment to the geniuses there today. -

TS1398 my iPad will not connect to wifi since the ios7 upgrade
Since updading my iPad to iOS7 I cannot connect to WIFI. I have put the device in airplane mode, reset newtork settings per other suggestions but it didn't work. I have powered the device off and on. I have reset home router. iPhone 5 still works as I refuse to upgrade to iOS7 for now.
Finally got it working. Continued following the above steps and it worked. I've tried this at least a dozen times with no success but all of a sudden it worked. I hope it continues to work.
Message was edited by: gregb7Try a soft reset or turn the device completely off then turn it back on again. Also you can toggle Airplane mode on for about 10 seconds and then turn it off. Sometimes that resets the radio signal inside the device.
A soft reset is basically holding onto the power button and the home button simultaneously together for about 10 seconds or until you see the screen flash and it should go completely black. Afterwards, tun the device back on like normally and see if that fixes the problem. -

I've tried everything like switching it off and on, and switching off wifi and back on again, re-setting everything. HELP!iTunes will also NOT recognize my iPod Touch.. MacBook Pro has suddenly stopped connecting to any WiFi Station
Strange, but after updating to !0.5.4 My airport won,t connect to any WiFi base station. I have two homes and in one I use Time Capsule as the router and in the other an AEBS along with the new AE (for air tunes and enhanced range) and I have no problems with the iMacs all running the same version of Leopard with the same update. However my MacBook Pro now gives either a "connection timed out" or connection failed message. Archiving and re-installing Leopard with no updates hasn't helped.

CheersWhat do you mean by "tried connecting through cable"? I can think of two different things you might mean.
It might help to reset the connection settings on your Mac using these steps one at a time until the problem is resolved, recognizing that, depending on your problem, not all of these steps will make sense:
1) Use the AirPort/Wi-Fi menu bar item to turn AirPort/Wi-Fi off, then on again.
2) Try to select your Wi-Fi network from the AirPort/Wi-Fi menu.
3) In the Network panel of System Preferences delete the AirPort/Wi-Fi item from the left column, then add it back.
4) In the same panel as (3), define a new location and see if you can make that work.
5) In the same panel, select the AirPort/Wi-Fi connection item, click the "Advanced" button, select the "TCP/IP" tab, then click "Renew DHCP Lease". Note that the fix this step implements may be temporary.
6) In the folder /Library/Preferences ( _not_ <yourhomefolder>/Library/Preferences), move the folder SystemConfiguration onto the Desktop, then restart your computer. See if you can now make your AirPort connection work.
These steps may not help, but they'll only take a couple of minutes to try. Before you try these, if you have any special network settings on your Mac for things like DSL credentials, note all your network settings, because the latter steps will destroy them. If you got all the way to the last step, if things don't work any worse than before, you can trash the saved SystemConfiguration folder. -

If you carefully follow all of the instructions in this tip and none of them restore WiFi then your radio chip has failed and you need to get the phone replaced by Apple.
