My Phone Cannot Place Calls or Receive them

This is the Second Time this Problem has Happened. Each Time followed a Plane Trip from Detroit to Kansas City MO. The Phone Was Turned OFF while on the plane both times. I can Text and Receive DATA ONLY! Any call Place results with a message "The Number is Not in Service". I received a Text that when someone Calls My Phone they hear "All Circuits are Busy".
I DEPEND on This PHONE for My Business! I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS ISSUE TO KEEP HAPPENING!!!! The Verizon Techs CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT. They All want to Change the SIM Card. That was done the First Time (3 Weeks Ago) and Again When i Returned Home. At That Point I Could Place Calls, But No One Could HEAR ME! Come to find out, the phone had Switched to 4GLTE Only. If i had Less than That Coverage, My Phone Could Not Transmit My Voice!
I am at the End of my Patience With this PHONE. I had a Droid 4 and it was Fine (I Still Have It and am about to put it Back Into Service). I was talked Into this Piece of JUNK by a Pushy Verizon Twit in Toledo that would not Respond to me When I had Issues with the Turbo Set Up. I called her number when I had an issue and she Never Responded. I had to figure it out on my own and waste a bunch of time in doing so.
I Need RESULTS NOW, And What About this LOLIPOP 5.1 UPDATE I Keep Hearing About. Will That actually FIX This Thing or is it Just Another Verizon Buffer??!!

I want that to be the same for you! You've mentioned that you've had issues after deboarding the plane. One of the things you'll want to be sure of is that the device isn't inadvertently in Airplane Mode. Please go to Settings> Airplane Mode. If it is set to "On", please turn it off and try your device again. If it was already set to off, then we can move to other possible contributors. Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.
if that didn't help, talk to your carrier.

Did you get a new unactivated micro-SIM card from your new carrier or one that was already activated?
Regardless, if your iPhone is officially unlocked you need to contact the new carrier.

Cannot place calls after 2.2 update

Today I downloaded and installed the iTunes update, then did the iPhone 2.2 update. Now I cannot place calls with my phone. I can receive calls and all other functions work ok.
I powered off and restarted the phone. No luck.
I reset the phone. No luck.
I went to AT&T and had my SIM card replaced. No luck.
I restored the phone to factory settings. No luck.
I restored the phone from my last backup. No luck.
Any suggestions?

When I press the green Call button it immediately says the call failed.
AT&T verified that my account was in good standing and had no billing/administrative issues. They then replaced my SIM card. Honestly, I didn't trust the AT&T store to do tech-support on the iPhone. Since there was an Apple store about 100 yards away, I went there next.
At the Genius Bar, the man said that there had been some "voltage issues" from updating via a laptop. He said that I should restore it to factory settings, then try again, but this time from a desktop. I tried that, but still, no luck.
It seems odd that I can receive calls, but not place them.

ok, my iphone has problems HELPPPP~
problem: does not make/receive phone calls using the normal setting. Phone calls made/received connect but then goes to home screen automatically....

Cannot write emails, only receive them?!

My curve won't let me write emails...I can receive them, but if I try to answer to an email I can choose the option 'answer' but then I don't have any 'send' button... if I try to send a new message, well I can write it and send it, but then it comes back with a red cross...<I was never able to send a mail..Please note I have the phone since 2010 but never cared too much about the problem.Now I'd like to solve the problem!!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.
Occam's Razor nearly always applies when troubleshooting technology issues!

TS3899 Cannot send emails - can receive them ok

Hi everyone I am having trouble sending emails I can receive them ok but when trying to send them they just stay in my out box. I have tried resetting, turning off ect but this doesn't work can anyone help?

HT4061 cannot make phone calls, nor receive them

cannot connect to the internet, cannot receive phone calls or make them

try a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
If that doesn't work then contact your cell provider.

My phone is staying on "searching" and "my number" is gone in my phone settings . . .says "unknown" . . .cannot go in and change it. I've tried resetting it and so far nothing is working??? Has anyone ever had this problem?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Remove and reinstall the SIM card.
Replace the SIM card.
If problems continue, and the network is not the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

I'm so sorry for any trouble with calls and messages! I know how important it is to have a properly working phone. Which iPhone do you have? Please reset the network settings: settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Once that is done, please monitor the device and see if that corrects the issue. What is your zip code?

Try replacing or use another battery to see if it boots. Liquid damage can be quite funny, depending on the water/liquid it might take weeks or months before the device fails. The battery is almost always the first to go if it gets wet.

I had this same problem, but it seems to have disappeared after I discovered that Bluetooth was on and turned it off (General menu in the Settings app).
