My phone doesn't receive incoming call as well as not receiving texts from some number.  Anyone have any idea why?

It's a new replacement phone that had a number ported from T-Mobile.

You ported in and replaced the phone a couple days ago?  Is the replacement phone a Verizon branded phone?  Is it FULLY compatible or partially compatible with Verizon?  Did you get a new SIM card?  Did the store not offer to make sure the phone worked before you left or was this just a do it yourself carrier change?

    Hi there.  A while back i created a shared library (.dll) to call in labview which works great.  Lately i have been using Linux more and more and was hoping to recompile the shared library for use in Linux Labview.  My first go I am getting the following error #error "Unknown Linux platform"   from the platdefines.h.   Evidently it does not like my system.  Using QT creator on linux mint 64 bit.   Anyone have any ideas on how i can get this working?

  • Anyone have any idea why I cant send or receive calls but can receive/send emails

    Had the iphone 5 for a couple of months and today I had problems receiving/sending text messages and calls. email is fine. I have tried the usual i.e. power down, remove/reseat sim, reset network connections, sync itunes, changing networks.I have contacted my carrier and they tried everything I tried but still no joy. The signal is good but the calls fail and when someone phones me goes straight to voicemail.

    Ignore the ridiculous post by W1$C.  He posts that regardless of the person's question.
    Things you can do to solve your problem:
    1.  General>Settings>Reset Network settings
    2.  If this is only happening at home, power down your router for a minute, then power it back up.
    3.  Other basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide are to restart, reset, and restore--first from backup, then if needed as a new device.

    I already have, I contacted Orange yesterday and they said I will receive a text to confirm the registrastion for my new SIM Card, they said the text would arrive between 2 and 24 hours and its been over 24 hours with no text recieved

  • My iPhone 3G will not turn on, but iTunes recognizes it to sync.  Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?  This was a sudden occurance-phone worked without issue before.

    This afternoon I was used my iPhone 3G.  I then put it aside (it was left on) for about an hour.  When I went to use it again, nothing happens.  The home button will not call up the lock screen.  The lock button will not turn the phone on, off, or lock it.  When I plug it into iTunes, it recognizes it to sync.  Also if someone tries to call me it will ring on their end, but nothing on my end. 
    The iPhone is over two years old (purchased in April 2009), so it is out of warranty.  Also, everything is up to date on the iPhone.
    Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

    What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
    If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
    If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

    No not jailbroken. After the update which took about 45 minutes. The phone went black. Dead. Wouldn't restart. Using the new itunes I tried to restore it. It went through the motions; the white Apple and progress bar appeared on the iphone screen. Then I got a message "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." Then the phone went completly dead again. I Repeated the process and got the same results. Is there another way to restore the phone if it's dead, besides itunes?

BTW I tried using doferent setings in compressor from CBR and VBR I even pushed up the setings to 8 or 9 BR and still no luck !

    Let's focus attention on just the Sony. (What model and what resolution are you shooting?)
    For now, I'll assume you're shooting 1080i.
    Take a representaive clip  into a new sequence. Add a title.
    In your sequence, make sure field dominance is set to Upper.
    Set render settings to Pro Res 422.
    After rendering, export QT self contained.
    Import into Compressor (I'm now referring to v3.5).
    Select the 90 minute Best quality DVD preset.
    Open frame controls and turn on (click the gear icon). Set Resize filter to Best.
    Submit burn and check quality on TV.

    You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
    First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
    If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
    If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
    Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

    Its too bad that your phone is out of warranty because this is most likely a manufacturer fault. You need to take it back to Apple. If it is not a manufacturing fault, then go to any shop that your network owns and talk to them about this problem.

    Do you have a case on the iPhone or have you damaged it in anyway? If you have a case, try testing without the case.
    Also, try restoring the iPhone and testing it as a new device.
    If that doesn't take care of it, get a Genius to take a look at it or setup service online.

    If you have to do other things on your phone, you are going to have to exit the facetime app. If you don't need to see their face while talking to them, why not just call them and put it on speaker phone?
