My phone downloaded io7 earlier - now my messages are frozen and I cannot power off - any suggestions?
Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 10 seconds until the iPhone begins to restart itself.

The other evening we had a storm and lightening hit a house a few doors from me. It jolted my chair but that seemed to be all here. I use my laptop most of the time but since there was a software download I went to my 27 inch iMac and could not wake it from sleep. The light on the keyboard is not lit either. The printer is on and says it is ready to print. Since I cannot boot it up I do not know what to do to even try to get it started. I did not know what would happen if I put the first start up disk in the external disk drive and try that or not. The internal drive is broken. I do not have any repair shops or apple stores around me at all less than 150 miles away and I am disabled with 24/7 help and oxygen so can not take it in. Are there any suggestions that anyone can give me. I have not been able to find any way to reset the backup battery pack either. It is a Tripp-Lite. Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your time and trouble.

Can you check what version you are running? If you are able to open Photoshop, go Help, About Photoshop. If it does not say 14.2.1 then you need to update it.
Same thing with the Desktop Application manager which is currently at 1.5.1.369 (click on the cog icon > Preferences > Account)
If the Desktop Application manager thinks Photoshop is up to date and it isn't, quite and sign back in again.
Make those checks, and if still in trouble, come back and tell us what operating system you are using. -

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

I just downloaded the new version of Firefox and now every site I used to use such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube show "This Connection Is Untrusted". Even when I do accept the risks the site no longer looks the way it's looked for years. Twitter doesn't even give me the option to accept the risks at all and shows this error (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I've tried resetting Firefox, I've checked the time and date, and I've removed and added Firefox to see if that would work. Nothing seems to be working so I can see the sites the way they normally would be instead of "coded". Can anybody help me please?!!! Thanks
ok, unfortunately the fiddler2.com issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

When i open itunes it gives me the option to download the new version 10.3. my computer will not support 10.3. i can't by pass the download to continue with my current version of itunes. i've trashed and reinstalled 8.2.1 twice. any solutions?
I am in the same boat. I tried repeatedly to contact iTunes support, but was told each time that I had contacted the wrong deaprtment and they could not help me. There must be a way to still be able to use the iTunes store without paying for a system update. If not, I hope they will reimburse me the money I have in my acount.

Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer. -

I downloaded the new version of iTunes and now over 100 songs have an exclamation mark beside them and won't play. The message says: "The song ... could not be used because the original file could not be found." How do I get these songs back?
Presuming they're on your computer, right click on them and then follow the prompts to locate hte file on your computer.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

i just downloaded the new update for itunes and the itunes store wont open up it is taking a long time it still hasnt loaded since 5pm, i also cant sighn in either it just keeps on saying accessing itunes....
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
