I don't understand why this happens. Every other function works fine. Does anyone know what to do.

Have you tried a hard reset? You can also try a backup and restore in iTunes.
If you have tried all of the above, have good reception and are still experiencing this problem, as razmee209 suggested, it may be time to call your carrier.

Since ios 7.0.4 my phone goes right to voicemail. Anyone else having this issue?

Ever since I did the most recent update (7.0.4) I will all of the sudden have a voicemail and I have not been on the phone. Also, people are telling me they call me and it goes right to voicemail. I have call waiting so this makes no sense. I use this for my business so I can't have this issue

Sorry, that is also not true. I have 4 bars and still receive emails and texts. I contacted them and there is no issue with my service. Also, until I did the most recent update, everything worked fine. But good suggestion

I have noticed recently that my phone goes right to voice mail when i call my home number from my cell phone. I noticed also when i am home and get a call it won't let me answer it

Thanks in advanceTry rebooting the EMTA device.... pull power, let sit 10 seconds, plug back in.... allow the device to reacquire signal and reinitialize...this can take up to 5 minutes.... once all of the lights are lit solid, try an inbound call again to see if this fixed it.... If it did not, you may need to call Comcast and register a trouble ticket for your affected services.

My iphone will not ring, goes right to voicemail

i have reset my iphone 4s 3 times now and once we reset and cleared the whole phone because I was not receiving calls. it would go right to voicemail and the phone would not even show that a call came in. I reset it again and it would ring for one call and the next right to voicemail. Any suggestions?

I have never heard of such a thing, so I don't know what they are meaning. Unless...is it perhaps that your Z10 is locked to a different carrier than you are attempting to use, and it's rejecting the SIM when you insert it? If so, that should present a message on screen though, and you've not said anything about that.
You can check the locked status of your device via:
Settings > Security and Privacy > SIM Card
If the bottom three sections on that screen all say "Unlocked", then you are good to go on any compatible carrier (each specific model BB is compatible only with a subset of all carriers in the world, but I don't know what you have nor what your carrier requires).
If any of those say locked, then that might be what this electronic repair person meant...you'd need an MEP code to unlock the device from it's originally manufactured-for carrier. You normally obtain that code from that original carrier, but each of them have their own rules about giving those out. Otherwise, you'd have to seek a fee-based service to provide the code (there are several on the Internet, and I have no recommendations for you).
Anyway, with the information you've provided, those are my guesses...with more information we might be able to guess more accurately.

I did the latest update on my iphone and now I have a displayed white usb cord with an arrow pointing to ITunes with the circle with the musical note inside. I can't turn off the phone nor can I get beyond this display. Phone goes to voice mail..no ring

I installed the latest update to my iphone 4 and now all I have is a display of the white usb cord with arrow pointing to ITunes with a clue circle with the musical note in it displayed. I can't access my phone at all. I tried calling it and it says unavailable. I don't know how to restore it...it says it is in recovery mode but when I try to recover, it says no iphone found.
I have no idea how what to do to restore my phone. It's fully charged.

I call my wife's cell phone (verizon - Iphone) from my Iphone 5s (AT&T) it goes directly to voicemail. I literally call right back and it rings through. This does not happen to anyone else I call or to anyone else who calls my wife.

IPhoto goes right to my facebook "News Feed" page instead of publishing photos.

When Iphoto asks me "Do you want to set up IPhoto to publish to facebook?", I click "SET UP". The next screen goes right to my facebook "News Feed" page instead of allowing me to publish photos. what do I ned to do to get it to publish instead of going to news feed? I have never had a problem with my IPhoto '09 before, but suddenly I can't publish to facebook

E63 sends call to voicemail instead of answering c...

On my old Nokia e61 when a call starting ringing I would push the answer button on my Plantronics Voyager 510 and the call would be answered. Now with my e63 the call goes to voicemail instead. What is going on? Is there somewhere on the e63 where I can change the function?

Thanks for your response. Yes I've tried taking the headset back to factory settings & forgetting it on the phone, the repairing all over again. I also paired the same headset with another iPhone I have running iOS 7 and had no problem answering calls. This is definitely related to iOS 8.

I phone connecting to BT Fon instead of hub

Can anyone help when i power up my iphone each morning it goes to BT Fon instead of my home hub. I then have to go into settings on phone and tick hub. How do i make that my default?

The Facebook app won't let me sign on with my account. I can sign on to another account just fine. Will not let me sign on through Safari or Google either. When I put in email and password it goes right back to the log in page. Help?

On my iPhone 4, the Facebook app won't let me sign on with my account. I can sign on to another account just fine. The first time I sign on with the FB app it goes to the news feed page, says loading, and then flipps between loading and connection error. If I close out of that and try to sign in again it locks up on the logging in page. From Safari or google it goes to the log in page, after entering my email and password it goes right back to the log in page. I have tried resetting my phone, deleting and re-installing the app and everything else I can think of. Since I can log onto another account on my phone it can't be the app, any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Every time I call Apple Support, their reply goes straight to voicemail. This is proving extremely irritating, as I need to change my security questions. Help

As the earlier message said, I've been trying to reset my security questions. Should be easy, but every time I've called Apple support, their call goes straight to voicemail, saying I appeared to have missed them. No idea why it's doing this, and I kind of have to call from a cell, don't have a home phone. Any online alternatives? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After installing iTunes update I couldn't get into iTunes so I uninstalled but when I try to reinstall and click download now it goes right to thank you for downloading iTunes but nothing downloaded.

After installing the latest iTunes upgrade I could not access my iTunes so I uninstalled it and all of it's components like instructed in support but when I try to reinstall and click on download now, it goes right to thank you for downloading iTunes but nothing downloaded.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

4 iphones later and still goes direct to voicemail

My iPhone 3G has problem where calls, not all, but suddenly go direct to voicemail. Full signal, and in different locations. I can then not call out - just long silence then beep beep beep. I am on 02. If I restart the phone it often does clear the issue but I only know I am missing calls when someone calls me on my spare phone!
I have now been through 4 iPhones, two sim cards and even closed down the account and started again with new number and it still does it. I have to carry two phones so people can call me - it is ridiculous and 02 can not find any faults.

I'm at a loss of what to do - I love the iPhone and everything else which isn't O2 related (voice calls, SMS, voicemail) seems to work perfectly. It's interesting that you're East London too - can we narrow it down further? I live in Limehouse and work in Shoreditch. It's worst in Shoreditch, but also happens in Limehouse (as it is at the moment).
I do also have the long wait to phone out problem sometimes. I also get dropped calls more than I should. And text messages sometimes take an age to send. But the most annoying thing is the 9 times out of 10 that someone tries to call me that it just goes through to voicemail. This is compounded by the length of time it takes voicemail and SMSs to get delivered to me.

And to answer all the obvious questions people ask:
• yes, have tried soft reset
• yes, have tried hard reset
• yes, have tried reboot (helps initially straight after, but 5 mins later issues return)
• yes, have tried resetting to factory settings
• yes, have tried setting it up as a completely new iPhone (using iTunes)
• yes, have disabled call forwarding (did again seem to work better for a while, but issues return)
• yes, have replaced iPhone
• yes, have replaced SIM card
I haven't tried the 3G switch off - but as Stanley says, that renders all the good reasons for having an iPhone almost redundant.
Very, very annoying.
