My phone has 13Gigs of "other" storage. I don't know what it is, and I can't delete it. Help!
my Iphone 5 has 13 gigs of Other storage and I can't use my Iphone to take photos. It tells me that I can manage my storage settings, but I am unable to manage the 'other' storage. Help!

Some of the apps that you do have are very likely corrupt. "Other" is normally about 1GB.
You should restore your iPhone using iTunes. Connect your iPhone to iTunes and choose "Restore" after syncing. You may first want to remove any suspicious apps (those that are not mainstream or popular that may not have their act in order). You can try restoring from a backup, but that may not fix the problem. If it does, great. If not, restore as new and manually sync your stuff back.

A large amount of other usually signals corrupt software and/or files that were synced to the device. You'll need to restore the iPod via iTunse to reduce it down to a much much smaller size.

If you see this symbol in the status bar, it means that TTY is on. Choose Settings > Phone to turn TTY on or off.

However, I can tell you that if you power cycle the phone, Other will diminish significantly in size. So it probably contains caches, app workspaces, whathaveyou. Just had close to 4GB, but after force quitting all apps and then turning it off and on, Other went down to a tad over 1GB. -

Hard Reset.
- Hold down the Home Button (Circle button with White Square in it)
- Wait for the 'Slide to Unlock' screen pops up
- Test to see if the issue is resolved. -

You need to restore you iPod to gedure the "other" to its normal of less than 0.5 GB. A restore from backup works if the large other is not in the backup. Make sure that you turn off outo syncing (iTunes>Preferences>Device and check the box that says Prevent iPOds....syncing. Otherwise, the backup will contain the other.

HELP!!!!It is likely that the device has unrepairable harm done to it having it washed in the washing machine. However, one thing that could be tried would be to have the device placed in a glad bag full of un-cooked rice and leave it there for 72 hours to see if this will absorb residual moisture showing up on the display glass. It could be assumed that if there is that much moisture showing it's unlikely attempting to draw out moisture will be sucessful.

Hello and thank you for posting back. What it sounds like is the cable that connects to the screen from the motherboard has either come loose or has a issue after the fall.
To fix this it would have to be opened up and the connections checked. If there is an issue with the cable then it would have to be replaced. This will require either you opening up the system yourself and checking the connections and tha cable or sending it in for repair.

yesterday my charger was working fine, all day long I got home and go to plug it in and it's not working, I let my phone die and it starts working like the battery symbol shows up but once the phone is on it stops working. I've tried a couple of leads but I know they aren't proper apple and it still doesn't work, my friend said I've probably fried the battery but I'm not sure, but I know since I got the phone the battery hasn't been all that good, it charges quickly but then also dies quickly, I really don't know what to do and I really need some help, should I get a new lead or replace my phone because I have insurance?
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If nothiing above helped, restore the iPhone to factory settings > Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings -

IF you forget your email and password and you are stuck in the activation process, it usually gives you a clue on what is your email like w********[email protected] If you really own the phone, you already have a clue on what is that email add. Then go to appleid.apple.com, click on manage my device, enter what you think is your email addy (no harm in trying that it wont lock) then click on i forget password. This will give you an option to either sent the password to an alternate email. If you have several, then sad to say you have to open it one by one and check including your spam mails. Another option is to answer some security questions you made while creating an apple id. Your last option is to call apple support. If you know the email add and you can prove ownership, they can reset the password for you

When I plug in my iPod nano 4th gen to iTunes and click on my iPod, I can see a graph showing how much space is available on my iPod and what it is being taken up by. A lot of space is taken up by 'other'. What is this? I have a big iTunes library, with about 2000 songs, so I don't want all this space taken up by something I don't know what it is.
