My phone has been activated for over a week, and now it just reset itself and won't activate. What do I do?
I had this iPhone activated at my AT&T store last week. I have had no problems with it, until tonight. I was using it and then the loading screen with the apple came up and it said activation required. When I try to activate it on the phone it says the servers aren't available, and to use itunes. When I go to iTunes and plug it in, it says the software on my phone has expired and I need to upgrade. It was running iOs 7. When I go in to iTunes, no updated iOs is available and I can not activate it, it shows up with all my apps and music. What do I do?
So I had to manually update form a download on the iOS dev portal.

I used A1429 but apples info link didn't help for me deciding, luckily the wrong download just wouldn't install.

Have you considered the possibility that the third party fan software might itself be implicated in the issue, theosib (or perhaps something else introduced at about that time?).
My inclination in a situation like this would be to back up your drive to an external, wipe the drive, and do a clean installation. At the very least I'd try an archive and install.
Do you have plenty of free space on the drive? Once you get things down below the last 10 to 20% things can get hairy at times, and may not be fixed as a result of simply freeing up some room, as free space fragmentation is likely to have set in.
As far as RAM goes, either "Rember" - http://www.kelleycomputing.net:16080/rember/ or, better still, but less user friendly, "memtest" - http://www.memtestosx.org/ does a much better job of checking your RAM than the AHT. Still takes a while to run for a thorough test, but much quicker than the approach you are planning on using.
You might also want to use "Activity Monitor" to check for any applications with progressive "memory leaks" or that are acting as CPU hogs, given your symptoms

Is there a way to see if my stolen phone has been activated for use?
My iPhone was recently stolen. I have a feeling of who took it, but I can't prove it. I was wondering if I have the serial number is there a way to find out if it has been activated for use?
That would be between you and your carrier.
Did you report the iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier?
If so, do you know if your carrier has a blacklist that prevents a phone from being re-activated with their network after being reported lost or stolen? -
Podcast Artwork disappeared and has been gone for over a week...
I have had a podcast (Dose of Leadership) that has been out for nine months. About a week ago my artwork disappeared and has not come back. I use Feedburner Smartcast to update my feed. I hadn't made any changes prior to the artwork going away. I have resubmitted a new piece of artwork with a new file name and it's 1400x1400. The podcast is getting updated with new episodes but the artwork is blank. The preview image in Feedburner Smartcas is good. Who can I contact at iTunes to look into this? I'm going crazy trying to figure this out.

Although it works fine in a browser I don't know whether the extra dot in the filename (V2.2) is advisable with the Store. It might not be a problem - the Store can be very slow at showing images and if you only updated this recently it may well be that it's just a question of waiting - but you could change the filename to avoid any possible problems and amend the feed accordingly, though it will still take quite some days to show. -
my mail has been working perfectly on my 3gs iphone. I can now longer access the mail after tapping on the mail icon. All i get is a blank screen with a reload icon and a write icon at the bottom, neither of which responds when touched. The icon continues to tell me how many mails I have in my inbox and continues to update.
Any ideas?
am on version 4.3.4 operating system.

it's amazing that the solution is always to sen a tech and hit the customer with a high charg. this happens to me at least twice a week at random times. it's veryu frustrating. we pay an outrages amount to comcat for poor service. whe they say you get 300 channesl alot of those so called channels a re duplicate channels. I've had this porblem for years and yet cc cant resolve it. seriously thinking of looking for an alternative cable service.

For "iPhone frozen", you can try these ways to unfrozen it:
Force quitting app: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits.
Reboot iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Reset iPhone settings: Go ahead to select Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Reset iPhone to factory default: As the method of last resort, you can restore the iPad to its original factory settings. However, it will erase all your iPhone data. Therefore, you must backup your iPhone first. Then, go to Settings > General >Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

It seems that year long delay from having your lock button repaired has finally caught up to you. Sounds like you have some damage to your phone that requires repair/replacement. Take it to a Apple store or contact Apple Tech Support.

Too many people are flooding Apple's servers, everyone is having this issue, try every so often, or wait until tomorrow.

I have the iPhone 4, recently installed ios6 now my phone constantly turns itself off, keeps freezing and then 2 or 3 times in the space of 24hrs it has to be restored to factory settings. This has gone on for over a week.
If all basic troubleshooting has been tried and a restore as new does not resolve, take it to Apple for evalation and possible replacement.

After upgrading to Lion, I went to open Mail and received the message that it needed to upgrade my Mail database - this may take a few minutes. The bar shows it is about 1/5 along and has been there for over 10 hours.
I tried quitting and starting again but it just jumps back to the same spot.It is quite large, but I have tried two of the fixes suggested and things now seem to be moving along.
(I was unable to seach properly before which is why I posted the question - it was a bit of a panic) -

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -
