I have a 16GB 3GS phone since about20 months now. For the last few days, my phone is constantly giving me message that the accessory attached to my phone is not optimized for this iphone. You may experience noise or poor communication, while there is no acessory attached to it. I always used standard headphones and charging cable. Now when i recall, it started at one of the sync sessions with my itunes. I have turned my phone off and aon again and again but the message keeps coming every one or two minutes.I have also started loosing voicce on different applications like youtube etc. Also the ringer volume up and down key does not show me the small boxes increasing or decreasing on screen. The phone is playing crazy. Can someone help please

ZiaIt helped earlier but it has come back again. I don't know what to do. I tried what you said earlier but this time even this is not working either. And quite intrestingly my phone won't turn off. I turn it off, it goes off and then restarts on its own and then keep giving the same message again and again.
Could it be a charging cable, is there any chance that the cable which was working fine one day could turn to be "incompatible" with iphone the other day????????

My iphone constantly freezes up. Pressing the power button usually gets me to the last application used but does not allow me to change applications.
Ant ideas?Try resetting it. Hold down the on/off button at the top right and the home botton at the bottom at the same time for abour 5-15 seconds. This will not affect your data. The cycle the iPhone back on. That should clear up the problem

The I phone 4 keeps freezing. If I am on a call and another caller calls in /or leaves a message the phone will lock up for 5 minutes. Restarting does not help the phone turns back on locked up. Any suggestions on a fix?

My phone is dead (no it is not the battery). It suddenly stopped working. I tried pressing the on/off button to no avail. What is up with this?
Press and hold down for at least 10 to 15 seconds, both the home and power/sleep buttons until the Apple logo shows up on the screen.
This will reboot the iPhone.
Its likely the iPhone crashed, and you need to reboot it. No data should be lost though. -

Hi so my phone seems to not be connecting to any computer on i tunes. When i plug it into my macbook pro it charges but will not connect to i tunes. I tried another i phone 5s and it did connect to the computer so its definetly my phone that has a problem, Are there any settings or anything that i can change so my i phone will connect to Itunes so i can sync.

I wouldn't use it. Take/send it to Apple and see what they make of it. It will be covered by warranty if it is faulty (which looks likely).

No. It's not gone. It's not possible to delete it or restrict it. You've moved it to another screen or into a folder.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout will put it back in the default location if you can't find it. -

I've inherited a task which has spanned many years and which was not well thought out over the transitions. At least three project teams have scanned and stored tens of thousands of documents to PDF. What was discovered subsequently was that the project teams did not apply a uniform standard for which versions of Adobe would be supported in each PDF, and that not all documents appear to have been OCR'ed as part of the scan process.
This has resulted in two major problems. First, PDFs which support all Reader versions are bloated and consuming significant amounts of storage; second, the automated processing tools which depend upon the OCR text are failing once they pass the front and rear cover sheets (which do contain extractable text). I need to know if there is a way that PDFs can be bulk scanned to determine which Reader versions are supported (say 8.0 to current), and if the OCR'ed / extractable text is not just limited to the first few and last pages of each PDF.
I have been manually fixing individual files with Adobe Acrobat 9.0. I can force Adobe to re-OCR and save the files, but I would rather not have to re-process the existing bulk that we have unless absolutely necessary. If I could determine which ones need fixing and just processing those it will save man years of work.

MichaelWhat I meant by supporting a version of Reader is that I don't need the files to be fully backwards compatible all the way back to say the first few versions of Adobe Reader. (There are likely limitations on that much backwards compatibility, anyway.) One of the scanners that was used apparently was set for full backwards compatibility, to the extent possible, for every PDF that it generated. Some of those PDFs are huge, commonly 300-400MBs in size. If I open them in Acrobat 9.0, limit the backwards compatibility to Adobe Reader 8.0 and forward, then resave the file, the size is often significantly reduced.
As to how it is measured, there is something in the PDF itself that indicates a minimum version for Adobe Reader for compatibility purposes. When you select for compatibility in Acrobat during the save process I mentioned, you get to pick the version at which you want to stop -- so if you selected 8.0, it would be compatible with 8.0, 9.0, and so on. -
At any attempt to download even update I get an error that says "Windows has unexpectedly closed the file picker".
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

Clean iPhone charging port with toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol. Try another USB cable. Next step after this, is replacing the charging port assembly with flex cable, lower mic and home button flex connector all a less than $10 single part.
