my phone is currently linked to an apple id i forgot id & paasword hw i will recover & activate my phone please help me
Unfortunately, unless you know the Apple ID, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, you cannot use or even sell your mobile device.
You might try...
Look up your old and forgotten Apple ID

i bought an iphone4s on a pawnshop but it wont let me use it it says This phone is currently linked to an apple id sign in with the apple
If it has iOS 7 installed Activation lock will prevent using until it is unlocked by the Apple ID of the previous user
or that ID is removed by the previous owner from the iPhone

Hi, we have three iPhones and iPods which are currently linked to one apple ID. I have now set up an apple id for each phone/iPod. How do I go about re-directing the two accounts to the relevant one that has now been set up please? I could do with a step by step guide to follow as am worried about loosing aps, music, photo's etc which are on the individual phones.
Thanks
MandiOn each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so. -
my phone is locked and show (this iphone is currently linked to an apple ID sign in with the appleID that was used to set up this iPhone.
i put my Apple ID and password but dosnt work what shoul i do help pleaseFind My iPhone Activation Lock- Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
You will have to find the person whose Apple ID is currently tied to the phone. Only they can remove the activation lock. If you are unable to find them or they won't remove the lock, then your phone is useless. Take it back to the vendor and get your money back if you can. -
this iphone is currently linked to an apple id *********sign in with the apple id that was used to set up this iphone...i got this when i connect my iphone to itunes...who can help me???plzzz
Are you the original owner of this phone? If so sign in with the Apple ID and password you used when you first set it up.
Or did you buy is phone used? Contact the person you bought it from and have him/her correct the problem or refund your money.
You have encountered activation Lock that prevents stolen or lost phones from being activated. As stated the only way around this problem is to have the original owner clear the phone for your use. -

Hello,
I had an iPhone 5 apparently the iPhone was linked to my Apple ID through "Find my iPhone".
A few days ago my friend upgraded to iOS7.04 and when the phone booted we see on the screen the following message:
"This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID (s*****@icloud.com).
Activate iphone
this iphone is currently linked to an apple id
Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPhone"
Unfortunately this is a very old account which I don't use anymore and don't know the password for that account, but when I signed in to
http://www.icloud.com/find with my new Apple ID. I saw the iphone 5 white 16GB under that accout and followed the manual to remove it so it
won't be linked to my account.
I have been waiting and also tried to restore the iPhone, still it asks for the old Apple ID...
What I can do to remove it and restore the iPhone?
Thank you in advanced.so sign in with it, if you dont know it contact the owner
Peace, Clyde -
Hello ,
Need to know the best way to fix this problem this iphone is currently linked to an apple id need to know the way to fix it
Best RegardsThe ONLY fix is to know the Apple ID/Password that was originally used to activate the phone. If you don't know this info, then the phone will be useless to you. Apple can't/won't help you.
There is no other fix. -
This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID
I have a second hand iphone 4. After I made an update, the phone asked me for the previous owner’s Apple ID and password. Well, the previous owner didn’t know too much about tehnology and he also didn’t erase the phone from his trusted device list because the settings were made by a friend of him. The owner couldn’t help me with the apple ID, he said he can’t contact his friend anymore. I have all the accessories (including the box) and a payment proof from the original owner. “This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID. Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPhone.” What can I do? Please, help me with this! Thank you
Looks like you really need to return it back to the owner, who sold you device where settings were changed by someone else. I wonder if that is possible to steal phone, box and payment proof? The good part is if you do have payment proof from autorized reseller, you can contact apple and ask for unlock, but they will ask your payment proof, not someone else's. So if payment proof was "owner's" he is the one who needs to call Apple and somehow I am willing to bet he will not.

This ipod is currently linked to an Apple ID. Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPod what do i do??
Use that iD to sign and use the iPod.
You can go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and change the ID for purchases. The ID is also used in Settings>FaceTime, Setting>iCloud, Settings>Messages>Send abd receive and Settings>Game Center and can ne changed in those locations. -

<Personal Information Edited by Host>We are fellow users here on these forums. If you bought the iPad from another person and you are being asked for their id and password to activate it then you will need to contact that previous owner and ask them to remove it from their account : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515

How can I restore this phone when it is linked to another apple account?
If you’re the iPhone’s original owner, take the device and its original purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.
If not, but you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If neither of the above applies, you can't activate the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

Someone else's phone number is linked to my apple ID
I have someone else's phone number linked to my apple ID. Others are unable to reach me via my own phone number on FaceTime. Anyone who can help?
On your iPhone go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
In that menu you can select/deselect what emails can use iMessage on that device. This worked....just figured it out by dialing through menus. -
I have bought a new car and found an IPAD in the back seat. The dealer cannot tell me who drove the car. I serached everywhere to find the owner, Facebook, etc
I decided to erase all the data from the IPAD, everything went OK BUT when I tried to set it up, it asked me for the owners apple ID.
The message is "this IPAD is currenly linked to an Apple ID"
Is there a way to delete this account thus allowing me to use it.
If not, I guess I'll throw it awayActivation Lock is doing exactly what it was designed to do - preventing a non-owner from using the device as their own.
But why just "throw it away"? The dealership should be willing to tuck it away in their lost and found, as the owner may well show up looking for it?
