I have a iphone3GS. It could not be boot up. When i press the sleep/wake button, the apple logo appear and then disappear. The password login screen didnt' come on. When i tried to connect my phone to the itune on my laptop, there isnt this button that i can sync my phone with the laptop.
Sounds like your iPhones software may be corrupt. Try placing the iPhone into recovery mode. To do this, follow the steps in this article:

My phone is only showing a USB cord and the itunes thing. On my computer under itunes its not letting me do any thing there is not a reset button or anything it just says my information about my phone, i cant even reset it.
Make sure that you can see this iTunes cord graphics before you connect it to your computer.
On the left sidebar of iTunes, under My Devices, you will see there your iPhone's name.
Click on that and on the screen that will appear, you will be able to see RESTORE. -

i have a huge crisis. my ipad mini is flashing between the lock screen, black screen and apple log. i cant re-boot or switch off with sleep/home combination. i tried fixing with itunes on pc but i cant restore because it wants me to switch find ipd off on my ipad settings and i cant access my ipad!
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in the finder, right-click on it and get info. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings if necessary. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and apply to enclosed items like so
the important part is to apply to enclosed items !

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Even if it's plugged into the wall charger, it can take 15-20 minutes of charging before the iphone may turn on. So if ti dosen't turn on after the reset brad suggested, then I would suggest leaving it plugged in for 20 minutes and trying the reset again.

When ever I use ITunes, it locks my entire computer.
Thanks for reading. I downloaded the updated version of ITunes that came out two or three weeks ago. Soon after, while using ITunes, I would scroll to the bottom and it would get "stuck" and freeze my computer. I have to physically turn off the computer in order to restart it. I thought this recent download would fix the bug but it didn't. Is anyone else having this problem?
Yes! Our brand new iMac is only a few weeks old, and it regularly freezes up while in the iTunes store. Force quit doesn't work. We have to manually shut down and restart. We are currently up to date on iTunes and all software updates. I join you in shouting "help!" - and if this doesn't get fixed, I'm going to be frequenting Amazon more often for my purchased downloads.....

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
