my iphone 4 is not auto lock after 1 minute as i specified in the settings. operating sytem is iOS6

to see the camera icon, double click the home button when you are on the lock screen. this will show the music controls and the camera icon. double-click again to close them.

Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. Up until recently, my 4s would lock after the 1 minute that I requested. I set a passcode, now it will not auto lock at all. I've checked all settings and even disabled passcode. Still will not auto lock....

Settings>General>AutoLock = set to 1 minute.
If that doesnt work then follow these steps.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All settings>Then Settings>General>AutoLock= set to 1 minute. - Test again
If doesnt work then you will want to restore the phone and setup as new, not restore from a backup - if it comes down to that repost and I can explain those steps

New iPad (3) dimming, not Auto-Lock

Guys, having a problem with the new iPad (3)
I listen to pandora everynight. ipad is charging and it normally auto locks and turns the screen off while pandora is in the background.
Now, I notice, it dims the screen but does not auto lock ? Ive turned off the ipad, and also did a hard reset but same.
I also turned on the ipad and left it in the main screen with all the apps to see what happens with pandora not active and the same, it goes dim but
does not auto lock.
any possible fix ??
i just notice, if I unplug the ipad (3) the auto locks works after 2 mins but when charging the auto lock does not work and stays dim.

Thanks for writing. When the iPad is plugged into it's power source, the Auto-lock is disabled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

TS1398 Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 my phone will not auto-connect to the home WiFi network.

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone will not auto-connect to the home wifi network. Each time I leave and return to within range of the network I have to remember to manually connect, otherwise it continues to use 4G for data. The credentials are saved (all I have to do is tap it to connect) but just won't happen automatically any more.

Try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time.

I think the reason why the phone isn't booting up is because the phone needs to know where to find the configuration/firmware files from a tftp server. I do have a TFTP server, but normally I need to go in settings to change the alternative tftp server, but the thing is that now I can't even press the settings button...

How many phones were reset and upgrading at one time? What is the setting of the TFTP Maximum Serving Count (Advanced TFTP Service Parm) on each of the TFTP servers?

How to Turn Off Screen, but NOT Auto-Lock phone?

I have an iPhone 5S. I have auto-lock set to 5 minutes. I often want to shut the screen for a short period (less than 5 minutes) to conserve the battery and to put it in my pocket while making sure I don't do something on the phone. As such, I press the sleep button at the top. No matter how quickly I turn the phone back on (by pressing the sleep button again) it is now locked. I find this *very* annoying. Obviously, the "Sleep button" doesn't just put the phone to sleep, but locks it too *despite* the auto-lock setting. Is there any way to really just "sleep" the phone withOUT turning on the lock?

"Sleep" and "lock" are the same thing where an iPhone is concerned. The only other option is passcode lock.

My iPhone 6 will not auto rotate after installation of version 8.0.2. The auto rotate lock is off in settings and in the Kindle app, but nothing will go to landscape.

Since the installation of 8.0.2 my iPhone 6 will not auto rotate in any app. I have locked/unlocked the feature in settings several times using the command bar but to no avail. I read using the Kindle app and it also is locked in portrait whether the lock is on or off.

Actually, the OP tried that (six months ago) and it didn't work. They resolved the issue (six months ago) by updating their system software (six months ago).

You can find the settings for the Passcode Lock in Settings > General > Passcode Lock. If you are looking for Auto-Lock, then go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock. If you are not seeing these options then you may need to do a reset settings on your iPhone, which is located at General > Settings >Reset > Reset All Settings.

Document not auto cleared after performing FF67

Hi all,
firstly i would like to acknowledge that i'm using version 4.7.
after performing FF67, bank recon document generated in main bank & clearing bank GL accounts. But it is not auto clear in the clearing bank GL account. the treatment is as post GL account & manual clear.
after checking:-
1. trans type ABC using int. algorithm 15 - use assignment field to clear.
2. posting type in posting rule is 4 - clear debit GL account
in FF67 screen variant, assignment field entered the same as assignment value in clearing bank account. by right, the documents will clear off automatically.
anyone can assist what else that i miss out?

we can perform manual clearing or F.13, but the pupose of having such posting rule and posting type is to minimize steps of clearing.
by right, once ff67 posted, the clearing bank gl account will get cleared.

Since installing the latest Itunes my phone does not auto sync as before, how can I set this up?

Since i updated to the newest ITunes my phone does not automatically sync as it did before. I am not able to locate my pictures or music or apps to set to auto sync. I receive no message that tells when the phone was last backed up to ICloud. I have several songs on ITunes under ICloud that are in the waiting status. This is all confusing. I have clicked on every available option.

I'm afraid at this point a backup can't be created anymore and the phone has been damaged too much by the water.
You'll have to get it replaced and use the latest existing backup you have.
