My phone is not notifying me of some text messages and phone keeps asking for apple id password when in messages, what's wrong with my phone?
My phone sometimes does not alert me when I get messages from certain people, and is constantly asking me to put in my password for my apple ID. I have only done it once, but the prompt immediately popped up again, and is really just a major nusaince. I don't know what is going on with my phone because it also keeps freezing and won't even lock. It's just so frustrating at times.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Okay so I have had my Iphone for almost an entire year and there's a problem. I have gotten a scratch a scratch about a month ago on the back camera. It's at the very bottom. I've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me. Well ever since like a week ago my camera gets colorful lines that are verticle and go away when it's focused. In October I dropped my phone down the toilet, this was sent off to be fixed which cost me £100. After it was fixed I had no problems with it at all. In December I managed to drop my phone on the pavement and the screen smashed, apart from a crack in the corner the phone was otherwise fine and I had no issues with it. I decided that it would be time to get the screen fixed, so the other week I gave it to a friend of a friend to fix it. Now my phone looks brand new, but it doesn't work. The screen on my phone constantly shakes and it is very distracting and makes my phone impossible to use. Another issue is that I can see small red lines all over the screen. The camera is the worst effected, and shakes violently when I attempt to use it. The man who fixed it recommended that I back up everything on my phone and reset it, which I have just done. Unfortunately it will no longer turn on, even though I know it has full charge. It will vibrate and make sounds whilst on charge but will not turn on.
Does anybody know what is wrong with my phone, and what I can do to atleast turn it on. The man can't look at it until the weekend, but I desperately need my phone to work asap.
Thanks.not sure who you sent it off the first time to have your phone fixed, but looks like your friend's friend, might have damage your phone when they repaired the screen.
Send it back to them and have them fix it.
Since you took it to a 3rd party to fix your phone, Apple won't touch it.
YOu might be lucky and be able to buy an out of warranty 4S at the Apple store. -

The following Knowledge Base article offers up some basic steps to try for reinstalling an app:

Reinstall the app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it. Remember that deleting an app also deletes its data.
Delete the app.
Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store and download the app again.
Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.
If the download stops, you can resume it.
If the issue persists, then you may want to try and sync the application to your iOS device using your computer by following the information in this article, under the section "Download previous purchases on Mac or PC":

Does that id show on the right-hand side of Settings > Store or does yours show ? If the wrong one shows then logout of it by tapping on it and then log in with your .
Do you recognise the id that is being shown - is it one that you've previously used (in which case any apps that you bought/downloaded with it can only be re-downloaded or updated via it) or is it a friend's id ( have you ever connected to somebody else's computer/iTunes) -

Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"

Try the advice here. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
You have to delete the "SC Info" folder from /Users/Shared. You will have to use Terminal to enable you to see this folder first. Make sure iTunes is not running when you delete the "SC Info" folder
There is an article from Apple on this here. The "SC Info" folder contains iTunes authorization information.
I did this two weeks ago and iTunes accepted by login. I haven't been asked for my AppleID or password since.
