My phone is not showing up in itunes
My phone (and itunes) had been working well. Now, all of a sudden, when I plug my phone into the computer, it does not show up in iTunes and it does not receive any charge.

With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

Music on my phone does not show all the iTunes artwork, even after doing a backup restore, eliminating all music and restoring I have an iphone5 64 syncing about 8000 songs, so updating all is a time consuming, and now maddening process. Never had a problem before iOS 8. Someone (hello Apple) needs to develop a utility to help manage artwork recovery.

i phone 4s not showing up in itunes and is not charging alson when u plug usb cable in computer
it could be the cord. i have that same issue with my phone and it was the cord. you're not supposed to store the usb cord (or any other electrical cord) in a bunched up manner. anyway, i played around with my cord by bending it in different directions and now the cord works and my phone is recognized again. if all else fails, best to buy a new cord.

Phone is not showing up in iTunes. I've tried everything.
I have windows XP, iTunes 7.0.1.8, and a Motorola SLIVR.
When I connect my phone to my computer via USB, it sometimes does not show up in iTunes. if it does show up, anytime i try to transfer songs, or delete songs, or access the phone's music files in any way, i get an error message that says "The mobile phone "SLIVR" cannot be updated. Thre required folder was not found." and no changes are made.
Here is what I've done to attempt to correct:
1. Reinstalled iTunes with the latest download from their site. no luck.
2. Checked my USB settings on phone, it is set to Memory Card.
3. Un-plugged and restarted my computer and phone.
4. Tried re-formating, but the option wasn't there. I went to Settings>Phone Status>Storage Devices>Card, which took me to the Details page on my card. I hit the menu key, and there is no option to format. The only thing in the menu says "Copy All Text".
5. Plugged a different SLIVR in, and it still did not work.
6. Plugged my SLIVR into a different computer, and it works (had to re-sync and erase all my files, but was able to transfer songs to my phone).it could be the cord. i have that same issue with my phone and it was the cord. you're not supposed to store the usb cord (or any other electrical cord) in a bunched up manner. anyway, i played around with my cord by bending it in different directions and now the cord works and my phone is recognized again. if all else fails, best to buy a new cord.

Help! I have recently updated the software on my Iphone 4s and now my Iphone will not show up in Itunes. Can anyone please help! I am very frustrated, I have tried several things but I cannot get it to show up
Double check the version of iTunes on your computer. You must have iTunes 11.1 or later.

Just uploaded my iPhone 5 to 7.1. Now it does not show up in iTunes.
After uploading the latest 7.1 os into my iPhone5, my phone does not show up in iTunes. Did I do something wrong?
No, you didn't. Simply connect your phone to iTunes with the cable FIRST, follow any instructions that come up, then WiFi Sync will work again.

I would like to delete a number of podcasts from my iPhone. They do not show up in iTunes and when I pull the arrow on the phone it does not give me a delete option. I am using a Windows 7 PC. Recently I had to restore my computer, when I first reconnected my iPhone I thought it might sync it and wipe out everything on my iPhone, but it didn't do that. The only thing that seems messed up is the podcasts. I do have an app called Bookmark that I use to listen to books and podcasts. Thanks for any ideas.

It might not be compatible with the iPad or the iOS version you're running on your iPad (you can check the app store to find out). You also have to have the same Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores and have Apps turn to On under Automatic Downloads.

When I try to sync my music on my iPhone 4 I have a tab at the top that says 'on this iPhone'. This is at the end of all the other tabs like info, ringtones, music etc. The music in that tab is always on my phone but does not show in my itunes library. How can I get it into my library? It doesn't sync either.
The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE.
