My phone is only offering upgrade to iOS 6 beta 3???

Tried all the standard stuff short of factory reset (last resort only!!!!) Any ideas?

The first step to take when any iOS device is acting up is to Reset it. I have seen excess battery drain ocasionally on every iOS device I've owned since my 1G touch. I would not consider it a major bug but something that happens on some devices occasionally. An app or process starts to misbehave pushing the processor to run harder consuming more battery power. The same happens on computers where they start to run slugish when a runaway process pushes the cpu to 100%. Just like restarting a PC Resetting the iOS device can clear out a misbehaving process.
The most reliable steps I found to Restore:
From the Home screen double tap the Home button to view the multitasking bar at the bottom. Tap and hold an app at the bottom till the icons wiggle with the minus button visible. Tap the button to close all apps then tap the Home button to get back to the Home page. Press and hold the Sleep button till you see the Slide to power off message and power it off. Once powered down completely press and hold the sleep button till the Apple icon appears.

I'm getting this on my 5s. When scrolling fast i get random complete screen halts. When holding down on a scrollable portaion of a screen the screen jittes badly and then begins to hop all over the place.
Seems a bit suspicious, and more than a little disappointing.

I am not able to upgrade from ios 7 beta version to the Gold master version

Hello everyone,
I had downloaded ios 7 betaversion from apple, but now its not letting me get updated to the Gold Master version. Whenever i go to the software update on my iphone it says your software is upto date. ie ios 7. I do not get new ringtones or wallpapers on my device.
Can anyone help me?

Then, check that your computer is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs. If it's supported, open the App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Make a backup of your files and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
When the download finishes, the OS X Mountain Lion installer will appear, so follow the steps. After upgrading, open System Preferences > iCloud, and set it up, so you will be able to use iCloud on the computer

4s won't charge after upgrading to iOS 7 :(

My phone was FINE after upgrading to iOS 7 last night. Today when I went into work, it was also fine and charged correctly.
It wasn't until after I got the "do you want iphone to trust this computer?" and I said NO.
I wasn't sure what this meant, I just clicked no because I didn't want my phone to sync to to my work computer.
Since then, I have not been able to charge my phone. I know there are issues with other brand cables, so I waited till I got home to use my official apple cable. Doesn't help at all.
I went to the genius bar and he looked at my charging port and said "well there's nothing stuck in there or broken..." We tried 2 of their charging cables there. We tried restarting the phone, we tried resetting and restoring the phone. NONE of these options work. I am dwindling on 6% right now.
The only weird thing is, when I power my phone off, and plug it to a power source, my phone turns on! I get the apple symbol and it boots up. So it does recognize SOMETHING. However, my laptop wont acknowledge that something is plugged in... and now apparently the only option is to get a new phone.
Any ideas? The guy who helped me doesn't believe that iOS 7 could cause charging issues, but there's no other explanation! I was at work all day today, and nothing has changed, I didn't drop it or anything. THe only thing I could think was diff was iOS 7 and that weird "trust computer" popup.
Help! I don't want to upgrade now!

Jefisher - good luck with that. I went to the genius bar and we went through the motions of powering on/off my phone, restoring it and eventually resetting it to factory settings and none of those solutions worked. Unfortuately my warranty already expired so they suggested getting a new phone / upgrading.

Just upgraded to iOS 7 and my Instagram will no longer connect to Twitter

I get an error message saying "We couldn't connect to Twitter. If you see this error repeatedly, tap Learn More to visit our Help Center." The help center only offers solutions for iOS 5 & 6. I've already confirmed that Instagram is set to use Twitter in my Settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Will an iPad 2 be upgradable to iOS 8?

I have an iPad first gen that only was upgradable to iOS 5.11. I am thinking about getting a refurbished 2nd Gen. Will that be upgradable to iOS 8 when it comes out this Fall, or should I look for a newer refurb gen like a 3rd or Air?

Why, oh why did I update my iPad 2 to the iOS 8 software update? I have an iPad 2 32 gig with the cellular data option and it has not acted right since the update. The iPad freezes constantly, apps freeze while in use and when closing them down. (Yes, I updated all my apps before I installed the iOS 8 software update.) The Safari web browser seems to be constantly in motion. When I want to scroll down a webpage, it will scroll up the page, my webpages freeze all the time. I was one of those who couldn't get on the Internet because my iPad would not connect to Wi-Fi but the iOS 8.0.2 seem to have fixed that issue. But the iOS 8.0.2 update did not fix the freezing apps, the freezing screen or fix the freezing when turning on the iPad from a turned off state. I hardly ever use my computer since I bought my iPad. Now there seems to be so many issues with the iPad 2 and the iOS 8 update that I fear my iPad 2 will become a brick. Apple please fix these issues because I love my iPad and cannot afford to purchase another one.

Can't upgrade ipod touch to ios 5 beta 2?

Hi everyone! I recently tried to upgrade my firmware from ios 5 beta 1 to ios 5 beta 2 (I have a developer account, paid the $99 and everything).
The upgrade to beta 1 from 4.3.3 was pretty much flawless. When I tried to upgrade to ios 5 beta 2, it seemed to work until the last step, at which point the ipod touch was off and could not be turned on. When connected to a computer, it said it was stuck in recovery mode. I couldn't switch my firmware in Organizer any more, not even back to beta 1.
I restored down to 4.3.3 again cause I figured it would wipe the whole thing and let me upgrade back to beta 1 at least. That much worked, I have an ipod with 4.3.3 on it.
Now when I try to upgrade back UP to beta 2 or even beta 1 again, I get this error: "Could not allocate buffer (file exists)" and the ipod goes back into recovery mode, and I must again restore down to 4.3.3.
What file is this, how can I delete it, and how can I upgrade again to beta 2? This ought to be the last time I need to upgrade with a wired connection, since all updates from Beta 2 onwards are OTA as far as I know.
I was quite fearful of "bricking", but a friend who is far more familiar with the inner workings of the ipod touch than I am has assured me that since the computer detected it in recovery mode, it wasn't a lost cause.
I was originally attempting the install from a slightly older version of Xcode, which is probably the root cause of this problem and I am now kicking myself.

The four members of my family just upgraded to iOS 7 last night. We now find that we are receiving each other's text messages. It's possible that during the installs, a few members may not have "unckecked" the multiple phone numbers they can be reached on. I had this problem last night as well. Only my daughter upgraded to iOS7 and she had an old phone of mine. When she upgraded, the phone asked for my apple ID and then continued as normal. However, after the upgrade, any text message that I recieved, she also recieved. I am pretty sure my wife thought I was hammered when she started texting me and my daughter began answering her not having any clue what she was texting about. Anyway, this only occurred with texts from other family members, not from texts I received from friends who are obviously not on our account (we have Verizon BTW). To resolve this issue, and it isn't a short resolution.... there are two options... One, simply erase everyting on the phone.... I don't like iTunes 11, so we were unable to back up her phone. I made her go through her 600 photos, delete the ones she didn't want and email the ones she wanted to herself, and then we wiped the phone clean and rebooted it... go into Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings. The second option, if you have iTunes 11 is to back up the phones one at a time, and then go into Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings. Either of these options wipes the phone clean of all information, text contacts pictures etc and then you have to re-enter all of your individual information. When you do that, make sure that no one is on the same iTunes account. Theoretically, after you do this, you plug back into your computer and SYNC your phone from the last back-up. This resolved the problem for us. I don't know if there is an easier solution, be we tried logging in and out of our iTunes Accounts, turning the power on and off, and nothing changed. So, we had to go the more difficult route to avoid mass confusion with family texting.

hey man, i feel your pain... here's my story and i'm pretty sure this will work for you... on the 19th of september i went to upgrade ios 6 and paused it about 1/10 through... when i plugged my phone up at night the screen was at the normal lock screen.. when i woke up at 10:30 am i went to check my phone and the screen appeared as an apple logo with a progression bar about 6/10 full.. it didn't seem to be progressing any more, but i guess that was only because it was so slow trying to download over wifi because it had all night to finish downloading.. anyways i needed to check my texts and the time so i held down the lock button and the phone turned off during the download.. when i tried to turn it on the apple logo would appear like normal trying to boot up.. then it would fade away and cut off.. then seconds later try to turn on again, by itself, repeatedly for hours on september 20. i tried restarting it (holding lock and home button down 10-15 seconds) but the problem with that is that the phone was already trying to turn on itself so it never would restart correctly... (continued turning on and off by itself).. i went to verizon and they said my phone is screwed.. go to apple if you wanna pay.. i called apple support and a lady helped me out here's the solution that worked after hours of thinking my phone is totally screwed.. when the phone is dark and cut off.. press and hold the home button before you plugin your sync cable to your usb port.. (have itunes up and ready) continue holding the home button and plugin the sync cable.. still holding the button, wait for a message from itunes appear that says it recognizes your device in recovery mode.. press ok.. the screen on your iphone should be a snyc cable and and arrow pointing to an itunes symbol... from there it is pretty self explanatory.. you will need to restore and update your phone from there which should be an option after you press ok... it takes awhile.. your phone will then go through one, or maybe a few progression bars (it may vary, not sure).. while your itunes will be restoring software & firmware.. when everything is done on itunes and your phone.. your phone should boot right up!!! reply if you have any more questions.. i'm so glad i resolved my issue today.. good luck!

Can't hear or be heard on phone calls after upgrading to ios 5

I recently upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5 and afterwards my phone calls are mute. Caller can't hear me nor can i hear them. Blue tooth device only transmits music, no calls. I have restored my iphone from the back up and also as a new phone with out any luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well after going to the apple store with no luck they referred me to apple care. They said even though my phone is out of warranty, upgrading to ios 5 screwed it up so they will place it back under warranty. This allows me to get the phone replaced at no cost. The new phone should be here tomorrow and I just send in the old one with pre-paid shipping. Give apple care a call.

This has worked for many folks according to the feedback I have gotten:
Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.
