My phone is possessed..by Siri.

I was listening to music on my iPhone 4s using the headphones that came with my moms iphone 5. Siri kept popping up and stopping the music or it pops up and then the music will start to fast forward. I then turned off Siri hoping this would fix the problem and now it just randomly pulls up voice control instead. It also disables the use of the mic that is on the headphones. I can't use it to turn the music up or down or pause it like I usually can with the mic piece. I tried restarting my phone and taking out the headphones and putting them back in, neither worked. Is there any quick fix? I really like these headphones and don't want to have to replace them.

Back up and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

I recently go my screen replaced and it has worked since then. But now all a sudden the screen does not light up. I know my phone is on because Siri is still responsive if I hold the home button, I just can't see anything. Any suggestions?

Most likely the LCD Display connector simply came loose from its logic board connector. Take iPhone back to where it was repaired, and ask them to simply press the connector back into its place. Ask them to apply a bit of foam material or several small pieces of tape on top so the pressure of the flex connector plate holds it properly in place for the future.

I bought iPhone 4s in Aug'12, but there is some problem in charging so i give it to the same shop for servicing on 1st Feb-13, today i got it back, phone is working quite fine but Siri application is not working. Can you please suggest how can it work or where i have to go for further complaint.

My phone went to audio command and I now it only works on Siri and is asking for my passcode via Siri, and does not open with my passcode. I rebooted it and it didn't help. I hooked it back up to my MacPro and that didn't do anything either.

It is after four years, but i had this issue with my iphone 5 today. And i came across this post while searching what to do. I tried switching off and removing sim card. Nothing worked.
I tapped the screen using three fingers , It came to the normal size .

Something has taken over my phone. For the past 4 days my Voice Dialing comes on and says, ``initializing`` then say a command, it then says no match found and goes back to the home screen. THEN, this process carries on and does not stop all day! I can`t phone out and I can`t receive calls as all I hear is dead air. I have taken battery out, taken battery out and held down power button for a few mins, uninstalled OS and reinstalled. I`ve turned off convenience key, and disabled everything under voice command ALL to no avail. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem other than drive over it. I`d appreciate any help. I understand your frustration over having so many replacements and having this issue with the Fascinate. You mentioned you have done numerous factory resets, but I am not sure if you have done one on this phone for this issue. Since the buttons seem to not be working, you may not be able to complete a factory reset thru the normal process. I will give you the alternate steps.
Turn off the phone
Press and hold the Volume Up / Down keys and the Power button simultaneously. When the Samsung logo appears, release only the Power button.
Display will show:
Reboot system Now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
From the Recovery screen, press the Volume down key to select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reboot System Now" - device will reboot
If you've already done a factory reset on this device, I would recommend having the phone exchanged again. I understand you would like a new phone, but through your warranty it does cover a certified like new device of the same model. It sounds like we have already made an exception to give you a different model phone. If you are out of contract in a few weeks, you should be eligible for upgrade now. You can always upgrade to a new device if you want a different model.

Help, this phone is possessed!!!

I have had this phone since early December. I have kept it in great quality, keep a durable case and screen protector to keep it from breaking. I have never dropped it severely or ever had water damage. The other day my phone was being really slow, which I am pretty used to anyway. But I was going to check my text messages and I touched the pull down notification bar, and when I did it pulled it down and pulled it right back up without me touching it. And ever since it has pretty much just lagged horribly, and everything I try to command it to do it goes to the application, media, messages, internet, and then closes it without any warning in seconds. I can't check my messages, call anyone, and when I tried removing the battery and restarting it, it would flash the unlock screen multiple times for about five minutes, just flashing that menu. When I tried typing in my password it would stop typing and clear the whole bar for my password. When I eventually got it to turn back on, when I went to use the lock key it instead of locking my phone it would automatically type in mnn into the search bar and give me results for mnn. Half the time the touch pad doesn't work, or the keypad doesn't want to work. I have no idea where all these problems came from, I haven't dropped it, updated anything, nothing to agitate my phone... Should I just call TMobile for a replacement or is there something I can do to salvage my phone?
I have never really had a problem up to now, other than lagged, and the App store never wants to run or run my apps for that matter. But I love the look of the phone and the keyboard. I don't want to have to get another if I can avoid it, but its not even letting me communicate now. Please Help ):

When successful (it may take you some experimentation to get the key sequence correct), you should consider an OS reload, if you are that adventurous...here is a procedure:
At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for each model. Please use those as reference as you proceed.
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

Failing that, formal support from your carrier is certainly always an option.

My phone is possessed, every other day I have to delete the same app,. I find I'd on my list on my iPhone, although its not on my iTunes list!!! As if it is a virus. It shortens my battery life too.

This is happening to my old iPhone too, so I guess it's a sync related issue, when I delete it a message comes out asking me that I'm deleting this bookmark, not an app, but can't find it's origin

But could the user of the phone just turn on iCloud themselves and get the private notes I wanted to keep from them? Is there a way to permanently delete them from the old phone without deleting from the new phone?

Phone is possessed...ringer volume goes up and down on its own etc. etc.

Recently my iPhone has been doing odd things on it's own, I'll be looking at texts or an app and it'll just close to the home screen or go blank or to the screen for powering down..the ringer volume level goes up and down by itself and sometimes it restarts itself and goes into a restart loop for awhile. It also drops calls and goes to the home screen without even saying call failed.
I have restored the software since this has been happening and it's still does it.
What I want to know is if I take it in and can't be fixed if I am still eligible to get a new one, it's less than a year old.

You will not get a new one as a replacement under warranty. You will get the same model that you have now.
You will not be eligible for the upgrade pricing on the new iphone as you have had your current iphone only a year or less.

When you say "shift to speaker mode" are tapping on "speaker" icon thta appears on the screen when you take the phone away from your ear? IF so go to settings/general/accessibility/incoming calls and check "default"

New I phone 4 S and when I synced I lost siri

Siri Unresponsive when I bring the phone to my ear. iOS6

So I did the normal Fanboy thing and upgraded to iOS6 the day it came out. Prior to that- Siri was great but now ***** and it isn't Siri...its the phone.
8 times out of 10, if i put the phone to my ear, siri doesn't respond. The 2 times out of ten that it does respond, I can BARELY hear the little "ding" indicating its ready.
Anyone having this issue and what's the fix. Before iOS6, this functionality worked fine. Now its unreliable.

Are you using a case that may be blocking or partially blocking the iPhone's proximity sensor?
If you are using the case, remove the case to see if the same occurs without the case.
If you are using a case and the same does not occur without the case, you need to get a different case that is specifically designed for your iPhone model taking into account where the light and proximity sensors are located which is different for the first generation iPhone and 3G/3GS.

How do I make my iPhone reminders the default where Siri puts my reminders?

By default when I use Siri to add a reminder it puts it under my MS Exchange reminder list, which is no good because location based reminders don't work with MS Exchange. Here's what I tried (unsuccessfully) to fix the problem:
In Reminders I tapped the top left icon to get a summary of my different reminder lists. I noticed a check mark next to the MS Exchange reminder list so I tapped next to the Reminders list displayed under "On my iPhone" and the check mark moved to there from it's prior MS Exchange reminder location. Next I locked my phone and then used Siri to add a location based reminder and when I went back to the reminders app it was again still listed under my MS exchange reminder list.
Please help!

Thanks! Apple really should update the display list in general settings. The fact that there are options to modify reminder settings is buried pretty deep within the list of general setting sub-lists. Glad you found what I couldn't on my cursory search.
