My phone is redownloading contancts and all my back up seems to take a while bar moved a smige about an hour ago is this normal?
I had my I phone restored today at tha apple shop, they told me to take it home to connect it and all my contact will be back.... I did a now it just show an Apple with a bar with a smige of download its been over an hour is this normal? Does it need to go through the internet?
It could be overheating..........thing is ....i never realy though ibooks got that hot....the ibook does not even have a cooling fan...at least my blueberry 300mhz doesn't.
I would have to say sounds more like your hard drive may be starting to fail you.

Ice1968, I think you're the first person I have seen here take the ownership of not having a protection plan and the consequences. Most people just blame VZW. I am sorry to hear that they won't let you get a device by visiting a corporate store. In most cases, telephone support doesn't even offer an upgrade early but in your case they did. I wish I could tell you why the store and telephone support operate differently but I can't. From my experience telephone support has a little more leeway to bend the rules a little bit. From our customer perspective it doesn't make sense and I have no earthly idea of how it could make good business sense. I do know for a fact that store employees do not have the ability to override the system to allow you upgrade early. Again, one would think that it's all the same system so if they can do it over the phone why not in store? I don't know. My one question is, are you sure that the phone employee was offering a 2 year contract and not an Edge agreement? They are 2 completely different options and the chance is that the phone employee was maybe not giving you all of the information. I would call them back and ask them which option was being offered to be clear. I understand that you don't want to wait for shipping as I wouldn't but unfortunately when telephone support offers something that's the only way to acquire the new device.

If you're sure Settings are correct then do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)

In messages, at "receive at" it says "error" next to my phone number and all texts i send seem to come from my email... how do i solve this?
T he general concensus to fix this is to turn off Facebook and iMessage for a couple of minutes. Then turn them back on again and it seems to get them activated.

My MacBook Pro shut off three times yesterday after plugging my phone in but I managed to switch it back on each time. I left it to rest for about 20 hours and then today it Has been working fine all morning. Using indesign and Skype which usually slow it down anyway but it's been fine. Then I plugged my iPhone 4S into it and it just shut off again. But this time it won't switch back on. No idea why this has happened but I hadn't saved my work either. I'd not long plugged the charger in to it but now, it's still plugged in, but the light on it is very dim and is just flashing.
No idea what to do. Please help!You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

SO I noticed that my messages just stopped completely. Then I tried to send one out and it turned green. I got no response from the receiver. Now I tried to go to iMessage to reset as using my apple email. It wouldn't even reset to using any email. Said I had a network problem. Everything else on the phone is working fine. I can not get my mail to send on my mac. It has been fine until about 2 hours ago, incoming mails are fine. I have jused all of my 3 accounts and I can't send from any og them (they are all on different servers) anyone have nay ideas on how I can fix this?
Jailbreaking violates the Apple warranty and licensing agreement and voids ALL support from Apple. No one on here can help you as doing so is a violation of the Terms of Use of these Communities. If you send the iPad to Apple they will just send it back to you as they are not permitted to work on a machine that has been jailbroken.

If you select that right-click context menu entry then you block all images from that domain and not one specific image, so do not use that.
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions (e.g. sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.

Java starts itself under names "uaxzu" and "eihf". Nothing happens, I quit them and all is back to normal. What can be the cause?

It sounds like you are trying to restore the phone to its factory defaults but the process is stalled or the phone is totally unresponsive.
If the phone will respond to the Sleep/Wake button, I would turn it off the normal way, then turn it back on.

When it turns back on try the Erase All Content and Settings option again.
If the iPhone is completely unresponsive and will not turn off normally, I would reset the device with this process from the above article:

Firefox updated and ever since it did about an hour ago no webpages load at all, all that it shows is a white page. On the bottom it says the page is done downloading but nothing shows up but a blank white page.
