MY phone is said to be locked but no passcode was installed

Trying to sync and iphone 4s to an XP PC to save photos. Getting and message on itunes my phone is locked. Settings on phone show no passcode in place. Not sure what next steps to take?

I only see two options:
1) try to connect your phone on another computer to see if it still the same problem;
2) put your iPhone in DFU mode by:
- connecting youriPhone to iTunes;
- hold the power button and home button simultaneously for 15 seconds;
- then release the power button but keep holding the home button for another 15 seconds
It should put your iPhone in recovery mode and iTunes should be able to recognize it and restore it.

Unable to instal the flash player.

Closing the Safari window doesn't make Safari Exit. Launch Safari, and choose Safari > Quit Safari from the upper left of the screen.
If that doesn't work, reboot and then run the installer you've already downloaded.

If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
1. Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.

3. Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

That message usually indicates that your phone was hacked to unlock it from the original phone carrier, then when you updated or restored it locked back to that carrier.

I have turned off Siri's access when my phone is locked, but it isn't working!!

I'm having the same problem after I moved my iPhoto Library over to an external harddrive (and then tried to access it on separate occasions from different machines). I also found that my iPhoto had "locked" these directories somehow, and I checked the "Get Info" details: sure enough, one of the things that should have said "Read and Write", didn't.
But when I tried to change those permissions (including the "Apply to enclosed items"), it gave me this error:
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
Seems that I can't give more permissions because I don't have enough permissions to do that! Do I have to move the owners to "System" from my own account "b" or what?
(My poor "photos to be iphoto'd" directory is filling up quickly while waiting for iPhoto to be fixed.) Thanks!

I put my 2degrees (NZ carrier) in today and it worked fine. I got into the settings and turned off the automatically part of carrier and there were 3 options for me to choose 2degrees vodafone and telecom. Because of that, im quite confused abt whether my phone is locked or not since im from vietnam so i want to know if i can use vietnamese sim card when i go home. Thanks for your help@verizon

Hi tranvietanh - I appreciate you contacting us all the way from New Zealand! I can confirm that the iPhone 5s and all of our other 4G LTE device are not SIM locked. As the carrier in New Zealand may not support the exact same frequencies and cellular bands that we use on our network, we are unable to support the device if using a 3rd party SIM.

After adding the latest update to my 5c iphone, the screen was black, with the itune logo in the center, a white arrow below it point to the logo, and below that, what seemed to be a white lock, but it had a long white line reaching the bottom of the screen. White screen 3GS only when phone locks but I am volunteering in Africa so need help

Hi everyone.
This is my first post on communties. I have a white screen on my 3GS. It can be rectified by resetting the home but as soon as the phone is locked it goes back to white but I can take a photo of the homescreen (can tell by sound), phone will ring etc.
After reset the phone functions completely normally until locked. This all started after IOS 5 upgrade, briefly became normal for a few days after IOS5.1 but now back to white screen probelms. I have restored to no avail.
I have read Brad's suggestion it may be an LCD problem but seems stranges as you can reset the phone and the LCD is fine until it locks.
Any ideas and or fixes, please bear in mind I am in Africa for a year so no Apple stores around.

I turned my phone on this morning and instead of the pattern lock that I've been using with this phone since I purchased it, it is now asking for a PIN that I do not know.
I contacted Samsung but they told me that my carrier would be able to reset the PIN for me remotely. I've been trying to find a way to chat with Verizon support but it keeps sending me to self help troubleshooting. It was so easy to get a live person on Samsung support, how do I get a real person on Verizon?

If your iPhone is new and you purchased from an Apple (Corporate ) Retail Store then you have to activate after inserting a new carrier sim for first time
