My phone is stuck on the "connect to itunes" screen, but when i plug it in and open itunes, my device does not pop up.

I have an iPhone 5, just updated software as per itunes notice. the phone is now stuck in the "connect to itunes" mode on the phone, therefore not even started up completly.#

I attempted to update my iPhone 4 without realizing that I need to sync it with my laptop. My iPhone 4 is now stuck in the connect to iTunes mode and now I cannot use it. Is there a way to reverse this so I can use my phone because I do not have my computer with me?
Maybe it was hacked before and now through the update it's locked back to the original carrier.

1)Turn off iPhone – Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red slider. Ignore this step if your iPhone is already off.
2)Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears.
3)Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows PC. Release the button if you haven’t.
3)Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet.
4)iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore
try this it should factory reset your iphone even if it is stuck in connect to itunes -
What do i do now? i tried everything, when i plug my iphone cable into my com, it shows me the connect to itunes screen, when i unplug it it turns off and when i turn it back on it stays the same. help pls
You should not need DFU mode - you phone is already in recovery mode - you just need to restore it in itunes. If you unable to restore you need to try another computer - preferably other network as well. If it is still not restored - it is a hardware problem.

I went to itunes and synced by phone, Then I tried to upgrade to the 5.0 . It said I didn't have enough memory space, so I tried to restore it, but now the phone is stuck in a mode that shows "connect to itunes" on phone screen.

For some reasone app store is not accepting my card, it is asking for a security key, once I write the security key it is still rejecting the card
Often there is another billing issue you can not see from your end that causes this.

I have the iphone 4s. Ive tried to update my phone & its stuck on the connect to itunes screen. Ive tried to even restore my phone then update & i still have a error for both of them. I was attempting to update my iPhone 4 to the new iOS 7.0.4 via my computer after I plugged it in to create a backup copy and something went wrong before it could finish and I recieved an error message. Now my phone is stuck on the "Connect to iTunes screen". I've tried everything to reset & restore my phone with no luck!
I have:
-Restarted my computer
-Updated iTunes to most current version
-Turned phone on and off several times, waiting up to a half hour before turning on (to be greeted directly with apple logo then the connect to iTunes screen)
-Turned on, turned on and held home button (nothing happens)
-My computer is NOT recognizing my device at ALL! But when I plugged my boyfriends iPhone in, it detected it no problem.
I tried calling my phone from the other phone and it goes straight to voicemail. I am super frustrated! Does anybody know what is going on?I was able to restore my phone!!!
I called Apple and they said there was nothing more I could do. I called my carrier Verizon and was able to get my computer to recognize my device after trying this-

After trying EVERYTHING this is the ONLY thing that worked-
I took the USB connector cable out of the USB port it was in, and tried another one on the otherside of my laptop and iTunes was able to discover my phone in recovery mode. My phone was reset and everything is fine ( thank gosh for backup copies!) -
