I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??

Try resetting the SMC

If it has a removable battery, try removing the battery.
If neither works, then you may need to bring it in for service. Bring the power adapter as well, as you may be able to determine if it is the power adapter at fault, or the computer's power supply. -
i tried to soft reset my ipod touch with the top button and the screen button. it turned off and then went to the blue screen with the apple like it should. however, it now just stays on that screen. it has a sort of clock looking thing at the bottom of the apple that does not move either. it has stayed on this screen for over 4 hours. i also can not hard reset it in itunes. i am not really goood at this sort of thing. does anyone have this problem or a possible solution? thanks

Hi Peter, Outcome is I look like a real big idiot!!!! When my husband got home I was in the process of writing down all the details to inform apple of the dodgy o2 store, only for him to inform me that he never got it unlocked at the o2 store because they couldn't do it the same day and as I have zero patience he took it a few doors down to a phone shop that advertised unlocking of phones! So now holding my head in shame I have to appologise to o2 and to everyone for wasting their time! Sorry! I assumed that when he gave me the phone and I asked that it was fully unlocked (as we had read up on the jailbreak and red something?) and he said yes! that the o2 store had done it, but he had asked the shop that unlocked it if it would be fully unlocked and took their word for it! so my phone has been hacked and I will now be (with my tail between my legs, so to speak) taking it to the o2 store for help : ( Hope someone else will read this and learn for my (well my husbands) lesson and go through the correct channels, Thanks again to yourself and KiltedTim and Sorry! They will be gone from the iphone, but you should be syning all contacts to your computer regularly and should be importing all pics to your computer regularly, particularly before any update.

That's what the 6,2 model indicates.There's an issue with the graphics module on that machine. There was a program in place to replace the motherboard within 3 years of purchase, but you're probably outside of that. Some folks have supposedly gotten theirs changed outside of that period, so you can try.

What you can do to use it is download gfxstatus from http:gfx.io and force the graphics to Intel. That would affect your work with Final Cut, but at least you might be able to use the machine. -

My iphone was working on Friday night and when I woke up it had turned itself off!
I left it a few days and it worked again for about 30 mins and has turned back off again! Ive checked the water sensors which are fine, held both buttons down together for over a minute, nothing, plugged it into the charger, nothing, and onto itunes which shows a message to say "your iphone is in recover mode". Can anyone suggest anything else I can do as its been 3 days now!!!
ThanksYou can try to press the home button and power button and hold them for around 15-20 seconds. This will perform a soft reset similar to pulling the battery. If that doesn't help you may need to restore it.

My ipod shows a blue screen and then turns off and wont turn back on. What should I do?
I turned on my iPod touch today and it turned on as usual. I unlocked it and went to play a game. I got tired of the game after about 5 mins so I went to the home screen. I swiped to the previous screen and it showed a blue screen after about 3 seconds. I was sort of surprised as this hadn't ever happened before. It didn't turn itself off so I pressed and held the power and home buttons. It turned off after three seconds. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't turn back on. I remembered about what someone said about pressing and holding the power button and the home button. I did so and as expected it turned back on. I unlocked it and the same thing happened again. Blue screen! I turned it off and tried the same thing again. Yet this time when it got to the lock screen, I pressed and held the power button and slid to power off. I didn't want to try turning it on again so I asked this question. WHY DOES MY IPOD SHOW A BLUE SCREEN? (Over and over agin every time I turn it on?) Please help!

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
