You can try a "soft reset" by holding down the volume down + power key at the same time until the phone vibrates and restarts (~10 seconds).

If you can't power the phone up, you're not going to be able to get any data off of it.

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

If you have synced to iTunes before, go to your old computer to copy ringtone files(m4r) over to your new one..
Otherwise, you cannot re-download for free as Ringtones are not treated with fair use rules like music.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try on another computer

I went to use my iphone and the screen came up blank. I left it for a bit then tried turning it off and now the screen is frozen with slide to power off at the top and then cancel at the bottom. It just stays on with that screen.. What can i do????

Ipad 2 is stuck in soft reset cant power off and not recogized in itunes

After deleting the Facebook app i did a soft reset on my ipad 2 and now it is stuck on the black apple screen. ipad will not power off and i have it plugged up to itunes and still nothing. Attempted multiple soft resets again. Please help.

Try this:
Open the iTunes app, select the Music tab, then scroll all the way down to the bottom. Here you can sign out of any current Apple ID and sign into a new one. Good luck!
And just in case there is another Apple ID linked to your account you can check at http://appleid.apple.com.

You will need to restore the software via the following procedure:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
