My phone keeps on looping with the apple logo after the blue screen.

I tried to up date my iPhone 5s thru iTunes and got error statin iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. Saw a video on you tube to use rec boot. So I downloaded rec boot v1.3 to try and kick it out of recovery mode and my phone keeps on looping with the white screen and black apple logo after the blue screen. I tried kicking it out with tiny umbrella and nothing happens. I was able to put the phone back in recovery mode and try using tiny umbrella while still connect to iTunes and hit exit recovery mode. under log tab it says sending exit recovery request to model # of the phone and nothing happen. My last option is to restore to factory settings which I don't want to do cause I would loose every thing. Can some one tell me I'm doing wrong or how to fix it. I would be greatly appreciate it the help. Thanks in advance.

Its looping because the iOS is not bootable which is why the iPhone booted to the ROM recovery mode. Try using iTunes 12's 'Update' option when the iPhone is in recovery mode.

The simplest way to exit out of DFU mode is to hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons on the iPhone while connected to iTunes. Then just hit the power button as and this should reboot the device as usual.

Phone keeps cutting back to the home screen

I was just wondering if anyone could help me, since last night my phone on most of my apps keeps cutting out and taking me back to my home screen. I cannot access my messages, calls, setting ect.. I can open things such as Facebook, Twitter and eBay but as soon as I click to type something on them they cut out as well. My lock screen button is broke so I can’t turn off my phone off and as said before I cant access my settings to update my phone if needed.

close all apps you are using, then resetyour idevice pressing and holding Home/Sleep buttons until turns it off and on again.

What's with the blue screen.....

Ok so I went to turn my laptop on a couple days ago and it chimed and did the little circle thing... said it was starting X and then the screen went blue... and stayed blue and did nothing... I restarted... I drained and filled the battery I tried everything I could think of and it won't work... can anyone tell me what might be wrong?
I had the battery replaced just before Christmas but it was working fine since then although I havn't used it much.

Try things in Mac101 (no offense) and Apple doc.#106464 for your startup issue. 106464 has blue screen info.
Also, try using Disk Utility to repair your startup disk (hard drive) as shown in Dr.Smokes Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption as Colin so helpfully suggested.
Smokes link will walk you thru it.

If you ever synced your phone with iTunes, you can find your serial number by doing the following:
Launch iTunes on your computer.
Hold down your Control key, then on the menu bar in iTunes click iTunes>About iTunes (Mac) or Help>About iTunes (PC).
Any previously synced devices will scroll in a pop-up window; press the space bar to stop scrolling so you can write down the serial number.

The message you received indicates that the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one for which you have a SIM. You'll need to take the issue up with Apple. Nothing you do with iTunes is going to make a difference.
I'm quite surprised that the UK Apple Store replaced a U.S. purchased phone. They usually won't.

Had the same issue. Hard reset not working.
What I did was: start your mac/pc and open iTunes, hold down the home button of the iPad (and while holding the button), connect it to the PC with the cable.
Keep pressing until you get a pop-up asking to upgrade or restore.

All apps downloaded/purchased are tied to the apple ID used to download/purchase them.
If you change your Apple ID and do not wish to use the old apple ID and password to update them, you have to delete them and redownload or buy them under the new apple ID.
