Hi there I am having trouble with my outlook express this is the first time it has happened it keeps telling me can't connect to the SMTP server and every password I have tried is incorrect this is for 'iCloud' very frustrating as all our phones are ok

Well I am feeling a bit silly now because that was all I had to do. In the past Workgroup Manager had always opened right up to the list of my users, I never even thought to click on that but apparently that was all that was needed.
I still am not sure how the iChat Server preferences changed themselves on me, but it is not the first time I have had weird "settings" issues with our Snow Leopard Server.
    Thanks!

  • TS1702 When I try to install an app my phone keeps telling me my Apple ID is disabled.how do I enable it again?

My phone keeps telling me my AppleID is disabled, how do I enable it?

For get what the artical says, you need to have your account re-enabled by itunes. It is locked for a non-payment or a dispute over a chage.
They will lock your account for a refund of 1$
It happens all the time, its a quick fix, but you have to call apple care.

I upgraded my iCloud storage but my phone didn't upgrade. My phone keeps telling me not enough storage. Help.

Confirm that you have no big icloud backups from your iOS devices
@icloud.com email is a big scorer too.
if you have many, many emails on icloud.com.
you probably should delete some of them or forward to a different email address you have. and afterwards delete those mails to have storage released
iCloud Storage depends mainly from iCloud Backup of iOS Backups, Mail Storage, Documents in the iCloud
contacts, calendars and notes are mostly not that big for storage as you might think.
music, apps and purchased items from itunes / appstore are not involved for calculation of icloud storage and they are not included in iCloud Backups of your iOS Devices.

    Hello JD_NINJA,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Error 9006 when restoring your iOS device indicates that there is security software on your computer which is preventing connection to the Apple server or your device.  To troubleshoot this issue please follow the directions below.
    Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can stop your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.

  • IChat keeps telling me my server connection was lost

iChat keeps telling me my server connection was lost but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I have used iChat for years with no problem and I checked everything with my connection and it is obviously fine if I can write this message.

    Hi Kimberly,
If this has been when you set up your Google ID in iChat then make sure you have spelt your ID EXACTLY as it appears when you log in to the Google Wb Mail page.
In Mail you can set it up to Retrieve your Google Mail.
It seems to be less fussy here about whether you use  the @gmail.com ending or the @googlemail.com one but in iChat it is Important.
In iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts in iChat 4 and 5 you can click the Add Button at the Bottom of the list and the Add pane allows you to Chose GoogleTalk.
This will then add the server name for you (Now Seen in Server Settings tab)
    This should read talk.google.com
IF you added it as a Jabber ID (It is a jabber server after all) then the server will be whatever the ending of your ID is (gmail.com or googlemail.com) as it pulls through the ending of the Name/ID
In iChat 3 there is no Google Talk opeion when adding an account  and you have to Manually change the Server Name in that Server Settings tab.
In all cases it should use SSL and list port 5223
Google will allow Logins on port 443 so you could try changing that.
I have not come across an issue with the Password length with a Google ID
If this is a recent thing then check that you can Login with a Browser to the GoogleMail Web page (i.e Find out if the name and password are correct.)
If it works there go to System Preferences > Security > Firewall
If this is ON then go to the Advanced Button
Make sure Allow Signed Apps is Enabled (Snow Leopard) and that iChat is in the List
In Leopard Allow All or Allow Specific Apps (And iChat in the list) should be ticked then in the Advanced Button Stealth should not be On.
If you allowed iChat through your Router using Port Forwarding then check that the IP In System Preferences > Network > Advanced Button > TCP/IP tab is the same one in the Port Forwarding settings on the router.

I've got a new Apple ID but can not change anything on my phone, my old Apple ID is connected to icloud but is not letting me delete it without a password! But I do not know this password what can I do?

If the old ID is an earlier version of your new ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your new iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your new password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
Note: this will not work if your new ID is an entirely new ID that was never previously associated with the old email address.

If it is in fact a CDMA iPhone as listed in your signature, there is no SIM slot.
If it is really a GSM iPhone, insert a SIM in the SIM slot.

  • My phone keeps telling me my storage is full...... My question is can photos delete off of your phone without u deleting them is your storage is full?

Does the I cloud store all of your photos?
My phone keeps saying the storage is almost full and I am missing two months of pictures but did not delete them, where did they go?

Save the data on your phone to either icloud or itunes on a pc/mac then do a restore to factory settings. then bring the data back from icloud/itunes and try taking a photo again.

  • My phone keeps telling me to connect to itunes. And I tried to restart but it just keeps popping up. What do I do?

I tried to updated my phone to iOS 7.1.1 and it wouldn't load. It just kept saying "Verifying Update" and wouldnt load. It was on the charger and then it just shut off and now it's telling me to connect to itunes. I tried shutting it off and restarting it but it just keeps showing up. I dont know what to do. And when I connected to itunes, it says i have to restore my phone and that my phone is in restore mode.

Your phone is in recovery mode and must be restored using iTunes.
Any data that you did not back up has been lost.

  • HT5622 I am typing in my apple id on my computer and it works but on my ipad it keeps telling me it cannot connect to itunes store.  I never had this trouble before what could it be?

I keep trying to sign into my itunes acc to download an app on my ipad.  My id number works on my computer but will not on the ipad.  It keeps saying it cannot connect to the itunes store.  What could be the problem?
    thanks

    Hello, newyorker50.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues connecting to the iTunes Store.
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

  • My phone keeps telling me to plug into itunes

so i plug it into itunes and it recognizes an iphone is plugged but it just says "iPhone" and my only option is to eject it. ive turned off the phone and held the home button then plugged it in so that it would restore. it restores but then a message pops up saying the phone is going to restart and to leave it plugged in. i leave it plugged in but then it just says to connect to itunes again! and its already connected ! i have no idea what to do and ive looked everywhere on the internet for answer. the problem started a few days ago when my screen wasnt working so i tried to restore it via itunes then this whole problem with it wanting me to plug it into itunes occured. also it is the first generation iphone, do you think its just time for a new phone?

It sounds like it's having trouble loading the software onto the iPhone and getting corrupted in the process.  If it's a first gen iPhone it definitely is time for a new one.
You could try your luck by bringing it into an Apple Store and seeing if they have any luck restoring it, however you've done lots of troubleshooting already so it's likely they won't have much better luck.

  • My phone keeps telling me the cable plugged in is not certified for my iPhone! There is nothing plugged in atall and this comes up every 30 secs or so,how can I turn it off?

Every 30 seconds or so my phone tells me this, "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone." There is nothing plugged in! How can I get this to stop coming up? To say it's annoying is an understatement!

    Hey Readie85,
Thanks for the question. This alert usually appears if there is debris in your dock connector. Check to make sure it is free of any debris:
“This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone."
"This accessory is not supported by this device."
If either of these alerts appear and nothing is connected to the dock connector, make sure that the dock connector is free of debris.
