My phone pops up login failure unable to comunicate with server (503) any ideas?

I am having the same issue. Ipad Air, my other ipad (3) and phone are fine, but the Facebook native app on my ipad air had (at one point) my account name in between those quotation marks in the pop ups, but now the quotes are empty and I keep getting 'Cannot connect to Server'. The problem arose, I believe, because I have two-step verification turned on in my Facebook account, and when I tried to add the third device, I used a code that was maybe three seconds away from expiring. My best guess is that the native app on this one device got itself out of sync with the two-step verification clock (the codes are time based) and may be having a problem with a 'stuck' code. I haven't tested this or began troubleshooting it yet because ... honestly, it's a pain in the rump to try to fix. If I had the time, I would probably go to the Facebook site, turn off two-step verification, log out of Facebook on all devices, start with the device that wasn't working before and log them all back in. If that worked, I would then turn two-step verification back on and then log the devices in again one at a time.

We had some minor outtages yesterday. 503 is an error about not finding the server. Try again and let me know if it doesn't work.

If your screen is frozen and you can't push the home button to return to the home screen, reset the phone by pressing the home button and the sleep/wake button on top simultaneously until the grey apple appears.
If the screen only freezes while you're using the app, you should delete and redownload the app.
If that doesn't help, you would need to contact the app's developers because apple doesn't support any apps that they don't make

SIgn in with your Apple ID, the same one you used to access this support forum.
Hopefully, you will see a list of all the devices you registered with your Apple ID, including their serial numbers. Let me know how this works out.
Edit to add: If you enabled "find my imac" on your Pro, you ought to be able to remotely lock it, or even wipe its memory. Click http://www.icloud.com/ sign in with your Apple ID and click the big green "find my iPhone" icon (nevermind the name, it will find all your devices provided they're running Lion or iOS 5).
Then file a police report and nail the b*****d.

Go to Finder > Preferences then select the General tab

I started having the error message "unable to connect with server. Check wifi connection" when I attempt to use search function within a certain apps and when I try to download certain magazine (eg. National geographic). I didn't have this problem with I first started using iPad, and no problems with connectivity when using other apps. Can anyone help?

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

HT1430 I am getting a message asking me to enter my Facebook password in the Settings. However, when I enter it, I get the message "unable to communicate with server." It's driving me crazy!

I can't connect with the Facebook server. When I tried to connect with Facebook when playing Candy Crush, I got the message to "enter password for "" in Settings. When I go to Settings, it says "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password for [my name]." Then, when I type in my password, I get the message "unable to communicate with server."
I tried deleting my Facebook account and then reinstalling it, but the problem continues. Any ideas?

I had the same problem a couple of weeks back.
What I did was that I restarted that Ipad of mine and voila!
Problem solved!

Overnight my iPad sent a message that it was unable to connect with server. All other mobile devices are running fine. So I feel it is somewhere in the settings of my iPad that needs changing. I can't get on Safari or iTunes, etc., etc.

Since your settings were updated? Do you mean the iOS? Try this.
Quit the mail app completely. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Launch the mail app again.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

C6 unable to synchronise with server

c6, latest software installed, push email working fine but Ovi Sync is unable to synchronise contacts, calender & notes entries, getting error "unable to synchonise with server" checked internet connection, its working fine.

That looks like some server problem from nokia. I also checked it now and got the same error message. Try after some time. It was OK two hours ago when i checked my contacts.
