Go to Setting>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on your device and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure your device is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

    If you bought Lion from the App Store, you can't legally or practically transfer it, because it's tied to your Apple ID. Reinstall the original software from the discs that came with the machine.

  • I want my macbook pro in factory settings, how can i do that?

    I want my macbook pro in factory settings, how can i do that?

    Install or Reinstall Lion from Scratch
    If possible backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
    Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
    Quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    For earlier versions of OS X:
    Prepare Your Mac for Sale
    Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer.  After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.  After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab.  Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button.  Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button.  Then click on the Erase button.
    Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive.  If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive.  The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
    This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive.  After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Now complete the OS X installation.  At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer.  Instead just shut it off.  The next user will be presented with the Setup Assistant when they turn on the computer just as it would if new out of the box.

  • HT204053 How can I retrieve my iCloud password? It's not working with the apple id password.

    I had to reset my apple I'd password yesterday & now my iCloud is not logging in. I tried using both my old apple I'd password & the new one that I just reset. Neither work. How can I retrieve my iCloud password?

    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

  • How can I retrieve the temporary backup which is done just before ios 5 update?

    How can I retrieve the temporary backup which is done just before ios 5 update? Because I set up wrongly as new iphone and want to retrive the backup before the ios 5 update. But I never sync to itune before. When I find the previous backups, I can find only one backup which is done after ios 5 update.

    I've never faced this case myself, but from the documentation it would seem that the INSTEAD OF DELETE is also a FOR EACH ROW trigger. Therefore, you don't really have to worry about the actual "where" clause of the original "delete" operation: Oracle has it all parsed for you, so you just need to redirect, in turn, each view record being deleted to the appropriate table.
    In extenso: for your
    delete vt12 where m = 1;
    => the INSTEAD OF trigger fires once for all records in vt12 where m=1, and I would guess that you trigger code should look like:
    begin
    delete from t1 where m = :old.m and n = :old.n and o = :old.o;
    delete from t2 where a = :old.m and b = :old.n and c = :old.o;
    end;
    It's a bit of overkill compared to the "where" clause of the original "delete" statement, but it should do the job...
    BTW, if by any luck you do have some primary key on tables t1 and t2 (say: columns o and c respectively), then obviously you can make the thing simpler:
    begin
    delete from t1 where o = :old.o;
    delete from t2 where c = :old.o;
    end;

  • I have an apple id and am trying to create an icloud however my phone is not allowing me. how can i create an icloud account?

    i have an apple id and am trying to create an icloud account however my phone is not allowing me and saying that the number of free attempts have been exceeded even though this is my first attempt. how can i create an icloud account?

    Are you sure the message isn't saying that the maximum number of accounts have already been created?  When you get this message you will not be able to create another account on that device.  Your only options are to either re-use one of the accounts previously created or create a new account using a different iOS device or Mac, if you have one.

  • Wi-fi not working even after phone reset to factory settings

    My wi-fi was not working anywhere so someone at the Apple store reset my phone to factory settings and the wifi is still not working. It says Unable To Join Network when I try to join a wifi network.

    I've been having problems myself since 1.1.2. I have to constantly turn off WiFi and then turn it back on again before it will find my home network, even when I'm standing right in front of it. I never had this problem with 1.1.1
    I wish Apple would put in some actual features with the updates instead of just trying to one-up the hackers and screw up everything else on the system. I am glad to finally have my custom (non-financially-extorted) ringtones back though. Now, if I could have my ringtones AND working WiFi...

  • Why did my phone reset to factory settings?

    I've had the incredible 2 about 18 months with no problems; I just took it out of my pocket to make a call, and the screens have all reset to factory - my 5 screens of icons are gone and I have the Welcome to HTC Mail message.  All the apps I've downloaded are still available, but this is a pain.  Is there any explanation?
    Larry

        Hi Lynn,
    Personally, it takes me hours to setup my phone the way I want it after a reset so I understand your frustration!  Has the device been functioning as normal since this occured?  Had you recently installed any new applications before this happened?  Did you notice any new updates coming through to the phone?  I would be more than happy to provide additional support if needed.

  • How can I restore from icloud backup after activating replacement phone as new

    I activated a replacement iphone 5. When I tried to restore from my iCloud backup, it said the os of the backup was not compatible with the replacement phone os so I chose the option to activate as a new phone. (Old phone was on 7 - replacement phone was sent to me with an earlier os).
    Is there any way to restore my settings from my last iCloud backup?

    Yeah - guess you're right. It just took me hours to figure out what to do/not do. New to iphones and never had to restore before. Maybe Apple could at least include the very simple instructions wjosten  posted. Would have saved me a lot of stress and time....
    Apple does provide instructions.
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    Note that iTunes and iOS do not support installing backups of newer versions of iOS onto devices using earlier versions of iOS.
    iOS: Unable to restore from backup of a newer device
    Symptoms
    When restoring an iOS backup to a iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that is not using the latest version of iOS, you may see the following behavior:
    You cannot see or select the most recent backup from the list of available backups in iTunes or iCloud.
    iTunes displays the alert "The backup [name] cannot be restored to this [iOS device] because the software on the [iOS device] is too old."
    iTunes displays the alert "No backups available."
    Resolution
    Update your device to the latest version of iOS to be able to restore the backup.
