My iPhone is a 16GB and it says 9.0GB Available and 3.7GB used; I suspect the missing 2.3GB is occupied by the system software.

I've lost my itunes icon from my desktop and can't see it anywhere else. I have recently upgraded to windows 9 and thought maybe this had something to do with it. Can anyone help please?

Is it no longer in the Start Menu or in Control Panel?
What exactly was downloaded and installed? There is no Windows 9, so it's not possible that it is installed on your computer. -
I have an 8 gig ipod and 4 gigs is taken up by "other" please help me!

Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or (and this doesn't apply to the iPod Touch or iPhone which don't have the option to enabled for disk use), files that are on there if you are using the iPod as a removable storage device. If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

I have fully up-to-date everything on my iPhone and computer and iTunes. I have an iPhone5 and MacBook Pro. I synced my iPhone this morning and it has 12 or so gigs of free space (even with my music and some photos on it). Then I deleted some voice memos in iTunes, and wanted to sync again to reclaim the space. When I tried, it said I had 29G of "other" data and that my phone was way over capacity and can't sync. I tried a few online solutions to force it to recalculate, but now it says it is about 90% "other"!! Only 8G of 64G free, and "other" is the ONLY thing in the summary bar.
I un-checked music for syncing, thinking that must be the problem. It did not help. Now there is nothing on my phone except "other", according to iTunes (not even photos).
I cannot restore from backup now, since the backup includes the giant "other". I don't want to delete my info on my phone knowing a corrupted backup is my only alternative.
Help!Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac. As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.

I see some threads (when I google this question) — but do not understand how to correct it. I have a MB Pro, OS X 10.7.1, not a developer — online all day every day managing a small business. Specifically I receive the message more often when attempting to open a link within a tweet (photo, website, other).
Most people are going to see that message as a result of not properly closing Firefox, and then attempting to reopen Firefox. This problem is most likely to occur on Windows Operating systems, less frequently on Linux and Mac systems but not unheard of on any system.

To properly close Firefox on your Mac use "Firefox" button -> Quit Firefox, and not with the "X" in corner of window which simply closes the window and not necessarily Firefox.
When you get stuck as you have described you must Force Firefox to terminate as described at the end of the article:

I have 5 devices authorized to my itunes account. 2 of them crashed long ago. Now that I have a new pc, I am unable to authorize it. I think from what I've read that I should "deauthorize all" and then go back and authorize my current 3 devices. Is this correct? I have tons of music and need to make sure I won't lose anything. I would sure appreciate the help! Thanks!!!
No that is not correct.
Devices do not count toward the 5. Authorization is only for computers, not iphone/ipod/ipad/Apple tv.
You do not authorize or deauthorize devices at all.
If you have reached the limit of 5 authorized COMPUTERS, then deauthorize all and the authorize the active COMPUTERS. -
This is really strange. Please help.
I installed iPhoto '06 last night and already noticed a few problems. First off, some of my pictures in the thumbnail view of an ablum, are gone. They're just showing up as a white box. When I double click the white box, the picture DOES show up as usual, but I can't tell what picture it is until I double click it. About 1/6th of my photo thumbnails are doing that. The other thing is that it always asks me if I want to rebuild my thumbnail cache...Any ideas of how to fix this "white box thumbnail" problem?

Close iPhoto
Navigate to your iPhoto Library folder in the Finder.
Drag to the desktop the three loose thumbnail files called Thumb32Segment.data, Thumb64Segment.data, and ThumJPGSegment.data.
Hold down the Command and Option keys while launching iPhoto until you see the rebuild screen.
Choose the first two options to rebuild the thumbnails. -
I have adobe premiere elements 10 and I am having some problems with it please help
So here are the problems I'm having with Adobe Premiere Elements 10:
1. Transitions will not load. The word loading pops up and it won't come up.
2. The videos won't play smoothly. When I press play it skipps in a way it won't play smooth which makes it really hard to edit.
3. Keeps closing out on me. It will have a thing that pops up that says "Adobe premiere elements has stopped working and closes out of the program. It does it constantly.
Please help me I don't know what is wrong with it.The first two issues sound like a video driver problem.
What is the make/model of your video card/chip?
What is the installed video driver number and date?
For the last issue, it could be many things, including the video driver. I'd look over this ARTICLE, and if there is nothing in the first part, then move on to tuning up the OS an computer in the second part. That would probably be a good time to post the full specs. of your computer, and also both your Project and Source footage. Finally, part three covers many troubleshooting tips, and furnishes many links.

Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Just did the restore feature on my iphone 4 from the itunes account. Now the iphone will only let me use it to make emergency calls. When I connect the iphone to my computer it is not even recognizing the phone.
