My phone sends duplicate texts, how do I get it to stop?

I have the HTC One M8, and for the first month or so it worked fine. Lately though it has been resending text messages a few minutes after the original has been sent. It doesn't happen every time, and happens more often when I text other Verizon users. Also sometimes the message appears to be sent twice in my messaging app, other times not when a duplicate has been sent. This can get really frustrating for me as well as the people I'm texting. Is this a phone problem or a network problem, and how can I fix it?
Side note: I have called tech support and their supposed fix worked for about 24 hours, then the duplicate messages started again.

My mom figures out anything rebellious that i do thru text. I know she reads my texts shes told me before, but she never gets on my phone. She said it isnt as easy as i think it is for her to read them... so shes saying she basically can only read certain texts, im guessing the ones that id rather her not to read. Are you under the age of majority for your country (in the U.S., that's 18)? If so, then your mother has every right to do this.
However, if she has access to your Apple ID & password, then there's a lot of stuff she has access to, not just your iMessages.
Consider changing th password to your Apple ID as well as your personal email accounts. However, be advised that you run the risk of your mother discovering you've done so, and then simply taking away the iPhone.
Now if you're over 18 (or age of majority) then she does not have a legal right to do this invasion of your privacy. However, depending on who paid for your iPhone, for example, she may actually have the legal right to reclaim her property.
Choose wisely your course of action.

My Z3 is sending duplicate texts, how do I stop it

I have had my Z3 for 4 months now and I love it but it has 1 problem that I don't seem to be able to solve. Sometimes it will send multiple duplicate copies of an SMS text. I mean 4 or 5 copies of the same message, usually straight after 1 another. However, yesterday, I restarted my phone, as GPS would not turn off, and then shortly after I got a text from a friend asking why I has sent her a message about the weather. I hadn't, it was an SMS from some 30 hours earlier, that she had received 4 times at the time I sent it and now again a day later?? How can I stop this from happening? Regards Chris

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

You can try an app like PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac or PC). Both will allow you to archive text messages to your computer.

Sending duplicate text messages

My phone is sending duplicate text messages whenever I send to my contacts. How do I stop this?
I've noticed this on my RAZR Maxx and now my HTC One M8.

Lets stop the maddness so your friends only get signal messages when you send them. I know you moved from the Maxx to the M8. Did this start right away with the M8 or did it take a little bit of time? Do you use the native Messaging app that came with the phone or one that was downloaded from the Play Store?

My IPhone 4 is constantly resending people I have texted, texts from earlier in the day. People keep texting me complaining that they are receiving many duplicate texts from me! They are annoyed about it and so am I!! How can I get it to stop doing it aside from throwing it in the street and smashing it?

Try rebooting: Hold down the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the slider. Leave the phone off for a minute or so, then power up again.

For the first six months of its life I never had a problem with the phone. However, throughout the past two weeks, the thing wants to send duplicate texts every time I send a text; or so it would appear.
I couldn't work out why I was spending an unusual amount of money on texts so I had a look at my phone usage online. The usage states that each text has been sent 3, 4, 5, sometimes up to 10 times! The phone only shows that it has sent each message once and the recepients only receive the message once, as it turns out. This has been happening regardless of my location. Sometimes it even decides to send a text on its own.
The first couple of days I suspected it was the fault of the service provider. Then I discovered that removing the battery from the phone and then placing it back in prevents the first couple of texts from being sent more than once; however, after a few moments it starts being silly again.
Is this likely to be a problem with the phone itself or with the service provider? The phone still has the original software on it ( I don't see why that would cause any problems now since it never did before ), so I thought about updating it until I noticed everyone experiencing problems with the latest software.

You could try your sim in another phone and see if the same thing happens,most likely its your provider at fault here.

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

That means there is content on your phone...music and or apps...originally obtained using his Apple ID. Such content is forever tied to the account used to originally obtain it and cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. Your only choice is to identify and delete this content.

Here is a normal Save menu in TextEdit, for example:
Now with that menu visible in TextEdit simply press down the OPTION key and a Save As option should appear just below the Save option in the menu.
Now, I may have forgotten since it's been a while, but that may not work in Lion. So either you upgrade, if possible, to Mountain Lion or Yosemite or:
Select the Duplicate option which will open a new copy of your document. You may then Save that copy. When you do you will be asked to provided a new document name. This would replace Save As.

It was an email about a video I posted on youtube. It said "the video you posted under your account has been approved and posted. Click link to see the video" but I didn't post any video so I clicked the link on my phone and it took me to a page that was not youtube so I immediately closed the window went to my settings and deleted cookies and history. Later I tried to login to one of my banking app and it kept saying loading for about 5 min before I exited the app then tried again and then it wouldn't even let me log in.
