My phone still works but my anntina is not working. I cant update my phone

My iPhone works fine. my phone wont update to the latest Ios. the problem is the antenna on my phone is broken and I cannot connect to any wifi. Is there a way to update to the latest Ios without wifi?

Connect it to your computer & use iTunes to install the update. Make sure you do a backup & import your photos before updating.

After you upgrade to 10.6 and update to 10.6.8 you can buy version 10.8 online at the Mac App Store.

That was a bug issue.
It has worked for the majority. At your own risk, you can update it, and the Touch ID function will still work.

Please tell us after you upgrade firefox to 4.0, how many plugins still work? You update day by day, and kill all plugins one by one, so finally why do I need firefox?

No TTS plugins work any more, like say it. speek ..

Thanks for the replies. It took a while not hearing anything so thought I was alone. I have done many of the suggestions already. The key here is that it occurs on both phones with apps, and phones still packaged in a box.
A Genius Bar supervisor also checked his Verizon data usage log and found the same 6 hour incremental use. Suprisingly, he did not express much intrigue over that. Maybe he did, but did not show it.
I think the 6 hour incremental usage is the main issue here. I spoke with Verizon (again) and they confirmed that all they do is log exactly when the phone connected to the tower and used data. The time it records is when the usage started. I also found out that the time recorded is GMT.
What is using data, unsolicited, every 6 hours?

Since no one from Apple seems to be chiming in on this, and I have not received the promised calls from Apple tech support that the Genius Bar staff said I was suppose to receive, it is starting to feel like something is being swept under the rug.

I noted that the smallest data usage is during the night when nothing is going on, then it peaks during the day. The Genius Bar tech and I looked at each other when I drew this sine wave graph on the log print outs during an appointment ...

System folder still here but preference system does not recognize it

Hi,
I have just installed Tiger on my eMac and now classic won't start. It first tells me that classic preferences cannot save or read the preferences and then, as a second message, that the "system folder" is not available and ask me to use another system folder to run classic.
I tried re-installing Mac Os 9 with the non-bootable software restore CD that came with the computer but the result is exactly the same.
I am losing it. Is there a solution or shall I say goodbye to classic once and for all and put it in the trash?

Hi, Mandianne. The second post by "Tatie" in this thread tells how s/he solved your problem.
Another, much simpler tip you may want to try first, before going to the trouble of an Archive and Install, is this: open the Classic pane of System Preferences and click the Start/Stop tab in that pane. If your OS 9 System Folder appears in the small box under "Select a System Folder for Classic", select it. Then click the "Start"button below it and see whether Classic now starts up properly. I don't know for certain, but it seems possible that when you installed Tiger, this important link between OS X and the System Folder that you want it to use for Classic may not have been carried over successfully from a prior OS X installation, or (if you had no OS X installed before Tiger) it needed to be made for the the first time before you tried to start Classic.

If your processor is PowerPC instead of Intel, you cannot upgrade beyond Leopard (10.5).
If it is Intel, you cannot download SL, but must buy a DVD from 1-800-MY-APPLE for $19. Same number can be used after SL is installed to buy a download code to be used in App Store to download Lion.
SL requires 1 GB RAM, though more is better.
Lion Requires Core2Duo processor and 2 GB RAM, though more RAM is much better.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I need to turn off 'find my iPhone' so that I am able to restore my phone but my screen is not working. I logged into my iCloud but was not able to turn it from here. How do I do this?!

My iPhone 4 screen stopped working. The phone is still on but the screen is not working at all, it is juts black. I was told restoring my phone might solve this problem so i plugged it into iTunes. When I click on the restore iPhone button a message popped up saying I needed to turn off 'find my iPhone' in phone settings for the restore to be go ahead. Problem is I cant access my phone!
I went onto my cloud account to see if i could do it from here but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Any ideas?

From your iCloud account, you can go to Find My Phone and remove the iPhone from your devices list which will release it, or you could do a remote erase of the iPhone from iCloud.

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

The screen on my iPhone 4 turned black while i was using it-it was not dropped or damaged in anyway. The phone itself is still working as it comes up in itunes when I plug the phone into my computer, but the screen is completley black. What can I do?

The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.
