so my friend was using my IPhone 5c and dropped itt and it shattered. a few weeks later it started shutting off by itself, and eventually stopped working. i got this phone on new years and i have a warrenty until december 30 2014 Can i use my warrenty to trade in my phone for something like this.
No. The iPhone warranty does not cover user damage, unless you have Apple Care +. If not, then you could see about an out of warranty replacement. The cost for that depends on where you are located. In the US, the cost is $269.

The genius bar folks will be glad to help...and if you have backed up your iPhone in iCloud they will restore the backup to the replacement iPhone for you while you wait.

If the power button on the top of the phone stops working and it sounds loose is that covered and can be fixed/replaced?

I Purchased iphone 5C on December 2014. However now it's very difficult to have it working. The screen is constantly not working and the right side bottom&top does looks like its melted? the cover I mean , which maked the phone slide out of its cover. I did not purchase anny additional warranty or insurance so I don't know what to do with it? Can i send it in and they can send me a new one under the manufacturer warranty or what do i do with it?
I Have alwa had an iphone but this 5c is making me never have one again. Thanks in advanceEach iPhone comes with a one-year warranty. You said it looks melted? That's going to be difficult to prove that you did not damage it, and it happened on its own. That is the only way it would be covered.

For no apparent reason my phone stopped working...so I did a reset and got the message 'Restore Needed'. I connected to iTunes and got this message: 'iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on your iPhone before it can be used with iTunes'.
The problem is, I can't enter my passcode because I'm not given that option on the iPhone. All I seem to be able to do is make an emergency call.
It's been working fine otherwise. Any suggestions?
This is the SECOND replacement iPhone I've had this week and I'm getting a bit fed up.

If so reboot your iPhone and enter the passcode to get it operational. Launch Image Capture on the Mac and connect the iPhone. Now you should be able to download the video files to wherever you want on your hard drive.

VOIP (Bria 3) Phone Stopped Working...
I use Bria 3 from CounterPath VOIP phone for work, and everything was working fine a a few weeks ago. Then, we started experiencing issues with our connection that Verizon ultimately was never able to figure out. They sent a new router, we plugged it in, no change, so we connected the original router because changing the IP & everything would be a huge pain in the neck anyway. Since that didn't work, a tech came out & did pretty much nothing... he ran the optimizer on one of the pc's, etc. etc.... we still continued having problems. We have 4 computers on this network (3 laptops, 1 desktop, ranging from 1 brand new pc, 2 top of the line pc's & one older pc). All of them were having the connectivity issue.
Right around this time, all of a sudden, my soft phone stopped working. It won't conenct at all. So some setting has changed somewhere along the way, and Verizon wants to charge some insulting amount of money to troubleshoot it (something they are probably the culprits for to begin with).
In any case, my soft phone works perfectly at any other house, on any other connection. It's definitely this FiOS connection or router that is the problem. CounterPath said, "It sounds like the FIOS router is not allowing the passage of the SIP signaling through to the computer running the soft phone. I would check with the folks that support the unit as to how to allow seamless passage of SIP to your machine."
Can anyone help with this? I'm at a loss at this point....

If you don't know, it would help to know at least the brand and model of that router.
#2 I am not sure if it has something to deal with DNS, but it worth to check to be sure that the DNS Server(s) that your computer(s) are using are listed as green (up and running/repling to DNS queries, non Redirecting” nameservers) with the tool from http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm
By Redirecting” nameservers they mean
Those that do not return errors when asked to lookup an invalid domain name. Instead, they redirect a web browser to another, often commercial marketing, page.
They show will up as orange.
If they show up as orange, changing the DNS Server(s) so show they green to see if that makes a difference for your issue.
This setting could be on the phone (if standalone), on the PC with this phone (this assumes this is a program that you downloaded and installed), OR in the router.

Single Activesync phone stopped working (with mobile iron)
Problem: One user (a tech, luckily) has had her phone stop working. Here are the steps I took to get here:
1. Move user's mailbox from from working 2007 environment to our new 2010 environment
2. wait 4 hours
3. Move user mailbox back to 2007
Bam, nothing works for phone, could not get her connected. Having mobile iron in the mix doesn't help. I noticed that the user's account didn't have the "Manage Mobile Device" option in EMC. I found some references to going into adsiedit and changing
the msExchMobileMailboxFlags entry to 1, and that resolved not seeing the option, but
I don't think that resolved the issue, just masked it.

I got a message that " iphone software version 5.0 is available" for my iphone. After i updated it, i got a message that my iphone could not be activated and to try to connect to itunes which i did, but i got a message that my phone has no sim card. Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

Your put your Air into sleep mode with headphones attached, I assume.
Upgrade to the latest OS to resolve that issue.
