MY PHONE TELLS ME THAT MY PHONE ISN'T VERIFIED BUT IT IS
I cant update my apps because the phone says my email address isn't verified and they will send me an email telling me what to do, but they don't.
The second gen ipod touch can only go to 4.2.1
It can only use apps that require ios 4.2.1 or lower

You need to respond to a verification email that Apple should have sent to you by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

My Mail programme appears to have locked up. It's showing as open in my doc but in reality I can't open it and it won't quit. If I try to shut the machine down it tells me that I need to quit Mail but I can't! Any hints please?

Can the OS for an iPod Touch be updated beyond 3.1.3? iTunes tells me that this is the latest software but many apps won't run on this older os.

HELP!If you are here in the UK then you can only use the UK store - you need to be in a country to use its store. You will either need to put a UK billing address on your account, or create a new account with that address.

I'm sorry but your post seems vague as to exactly what version of what you are running, therefore, it comes as a surprise that you mention that "it" won't let you update iTunes. Did you run Software Update or try updating from within iTunes?
If you are running a Mac under Mac OS X 10.6.3, then if you should be able to update that by using System Update to version 10.6.8 - first and foremost.
Then, assuming you can run Mac OS X 10.6.8; I would think that you can (secondarily) update iTunes to Version 10.7 or Ver. 11.0.5.; IMHO 10.7 is better as it has Coverflow. Nonetheless...

My icloud account is registerd to an old e-mail adres which is not available anymore. But icloud still tells me that the account is not verified, and i have to check my e-mail, but i can't. How can i solve this?
It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - click on 'Manage your Account', then in the first pane which opens you will see your Apple ID with an 'Edit' link to the right of it. Click that and you should be able to change the ID to your email address. Then you can sign in with it in System Preferences>iCloud to open an iCloud account and create a new @icloud.com address.
If you are not inextricably wedded to using your existing ID you can skip this step: just follow the method described by IMP68 here:

this will enable you to create an ID which is also the @Icloud.com address which you choose. (You can still sign into iTunes with the old ID if you want to - there is no connection between the two.) -
ITunes tells me that my computer isn't authorized
I purchased 4 seasons a a tv show and it will only sync 2 of the seasons to my ipad 2. It tells me the that my iMac isn't authorized when it is. I tried to close iTunes and relaunch. I tried to remove the other seasons and tryed again. I deactivated and reacitvated and it's still not working. Help!!
in iTunes, choose authorize this computer from the store menu, then enter your Apple ID and password.

I have an itunes account with a lot of songs. I just bought a new computer, and whenever I try to play a song that I already paid for it tells me that my computer is not authorized. There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them: -

the last version of Mac OS X which supported running PowerPC apps on Intel Macs was Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). If you’d like to play this PowerPC game on your Intel MacBook Pro, then you’ll need to install Snow Leopard on it and boot into Snow Leopard. (Note that the last MacBook Pro which natively supported Snow Leopard was the Early 2011 model.)
The game was almost certainly published before Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) was released, so back then, all versions of “Mac OS X 10.3 or higher” would have supported running that PowerPC game. -

There is an Office Diagnostic feature in the Help tab of Outlook. See if it can find and repair something? In the same Help menu there is a list of Deactivated elements, which may have blocked one or more functions on an earlier occasion. If anything there, try enabling it again.
It may be wise to shut down Ovi Suite completely while doing this, and reboot the PC afterwards just to be on the safe side.

You're getting that messge because you are trying to create an iCloud account on your PC. You can only create an iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher. After creating the account on one of these devices, you will then be able to sign into the account on your PC.
