My phone turned off and now has a message on screen Activation Requiered

hi
last night my phone turned itself off, then on again and started to display " Activation Required" on the screen. I cant to anything with it. it wants me to go into developer mode on the PC but i haven't got a clue what i am doing. it doesn't have the latest updated software as it never and has never let me download it normally it has to manually be downloaded which someone else normally dose for me, Please help im desperate

Any chance your device was part of the iOS Beta Program? Then plug it to iTunes and restore as new, then restore the backup.

    Hello there, RFJA2211.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great troubleshooting steps for unexpected power off of your iOS device:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

How do I get it working, I have to go to bed and use it as my alarm to wake up for work!  Help!!!

It's pretty difficult to offer much in the way of advice when you don't provide much in the way of detail, but perhaps this will help:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
If not, you may have purchased somone's defective iPhone in which case you'll need to go back to the seller, or pay Apple's out-of-warranty replacement charge for an exchange.
    Regards.

  • Mi ipods keeps turning off and now has poor battery life

I need to reset it everytime. If i do not use it, it will crash and needs to be reseted. battery life is now very poor too.

awful and weird. maybe it's a battery calibration issue??? maybe try letting the battery drain all the way down to nothing (while it's doing all that off-then-on every-30-minutes rebooting nonsense) until the battery is fully drained and then try full charging it to see if it hopefully properly calibrates the battery. otherwise you may want to ask the apple store because they did change/replace the battery.

You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock

Is there a way to find my Apple ID Name if I can't remember it?
Yes. Visit My Apple ID and click Find your Apple ID. See Finding your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
How do I change or recover a forgotten Apple ID Password?
If you've forgotten your Apple ID Password or want to change it, go to My Apple ID and follow the instructions. SeeChanging your Apple ID password if you'd like more information.

  • My phone crashed and has an icon showing a usb cable and the itunes emblem. when I connect to itunes it does not recognize my phone and treats it as just iphone. when I try to restore about 9 to 10 minutes into the restore the phone turns off and then on

My phone crashed and has an icon showing a usb cable and the itunes emblem. when I connect to itunes it does not recognize my phone and treats it as just iphone. when I try to restore about 9 to 10 minutes into the restore the phone turns off and then on and then loses the connection with itunes and at the end of the download it just asks me to restore it again.

Be prepared to lose everything on your iPhone but it should be backed up in iTunes so you can restore from your backup.
    Try Recovery Mode... http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at. It will probably need to be replaced.

    Hello there, LaruaGalliers.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great troubleshooting steps for your issue:
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
    Particularly:
    Battery does not charge
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
iPhone or iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the iPhone or iPod touch with USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone or iPod touch begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning the iPhone or iPod touch off and then on again.
If the issue persists, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.
