My phone updated little over a month ago and now my navigation is gone and my 4g and 3g doesn't work when my wifi is on.

  • For some reason, I am unable to click on links in the very lower left of the screen. It does not matter if the screen is maximized or smaller. This started a little over a month ago and I can't figure out how to fix it. Any ideas?

    Windows 2007. Firefox is currently up-to-date. The problem is the most notable on https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/Satellite/StudentMyHome?Audience=Student although I have noticed it on other sites. On this site, the position of some of the links on the screen makes it difficult to do my online course work.
    This does not happen in Internet Explorer, or in Firefox when used on my school's computers, although I haven't been on them since Spring semester ended a few weeks ago.

    Does it help if you make the Find bar (Ctrl+F) or the Add-ons bar (Ctrl+/) (Firefox > Options or View > Toolbars) visible?

    Close out of the message app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
    Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up.
    Then check and see if you can save the pic.

    This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

    I bought a song in iTunes on my iPod Touch. It's a Second Generation, if that helps any. When I downloaded it and listened to it; however, I noticed that it wasn't the right song! iTunes had mislabeled it. I reported it to Apple more than a month ago and got the automated reply, but I haven't received any word since then. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with a song I don't want. I tried reporting it again, but I can't for whatever reason. Can anyone help me, please? Oh, the song was Sailing by Pieces of a Dream.

  • Broadband/Phone Fault reported over 12 months ago ...

    I've had an issue with my home hub since I switched to BT over a year ago. The hub resets everytime there is an incoming call. I've had 9 engineer visits, the hub replaced, filters replaced and the engineers confirmed that the wiring in the house was sound but there is definitely a problem that they've failed to locate on the property or exchange.
    I now have daily phone calls from an offshore call centre asking me if the problem is fixed? This usually ends up with me venting my frustration at them as without actually getting an engineer to complete the job it will never get fixed.
    I then had a phone call yesterday responding to one of my daily email complaints and I was advised that it would be a week before they got get yet another engineer to visit. I informed BT that this wasn't acceptable as the previous engineer should still be working on the fault until completion. He should not take on another job until he has finished this one which is a concept that BT are not familar with. I fear that they are hoping that I will eventually quit my contract as it is easier to lose a customer than resolve the problem.
    I believe that BT have left me no option other than to take up my complaint with the regulators and find a new supplier.

    Since my previous message, there has been a Java update for Snow Leopard (at the same time as one for Lion and Mountain Lion), and its main purpose was to fix security issues. That at least shows Apple has not completely stopped doing Snow Leopard updates.
    We still don't know what is happening with general security updates for Snow Leopard, and won't until Lion gets its next general security update, or if there is a minor version update for Lion which includes security fixes.
    The one obvious missing update so far is Safari: when Safari 6 was released for Lion, it included security fixes, but there has been no corresponding Safari update for Snow Leopard. That suggests either a delay in supplying a Snow Leopard update for Snow Leopard, or that Snow Leopard updates are starting to wind down.

    Help:/ So back in mid october my mom took a TON of homecoming pictures of me and my date and going to dinner after, I checked my phone and looked at what she took and most of them were...not very attractive so i deleted most of them leaving about 20 but now i want to restore them because i recently realized i deleted some really cute ones. i checked photo stream but i guess it only holds so many so they arent there still (i didnt delete them from photo stream they just disappeared like how theyre supposed to) but anyway please help.

    There is no email address for Apple Support, since Apple does not provide support via email (except for the iTunes Store). You will need to call Apple support and ask for further assistance.

  • Since latest update, Sound Check on Ipod touch and Iphone doesn't work.

    My playlists have always played at an even volume before Sunday's software updates to Itunes, Ipod touch, and Iphone.  Now my playlist volumes are all over the map.  I teach a fitness class in a large room to 70 people, and this is ruining it!!  Apple support on the phone told me it should work.  Yes, it did work until the update, and I didn't change anything until I noticed it wasn't working anymore.
    Now I have uninstalled/reinstalled Itunes, restored my Ipod Touch as a new Ipod, and even deleted and reloaded my music.  Still not working!!!

    Just a stab in the dark, but check:
    Settings -> WiFi -> (your WiFi network) -> HTTP Proxy
    Set the Proxy to Auto and see if that helps.

    Wow that is so unlucky. If I was you I would try talking to someone at the Apple Store, explain your situation and don't be shy to shed a tear or too. Its just a shame 3 weeks after your phone getting hardware problems. I know people will say, oh buy Apple Care but I feel ya and I know adding that extra money in the beginning feels pointless and expensive.
    Worst case scenarion like I said you will have to pay Apple 269 for them to swap phones. Or if you have any nerd friends have them fix it for you. Its a tedious repair the way the power button has some weird hinge that needs to snap on and ribbons are so thin. I do not advise for you to attempt to fix your self unless you don't care if you break it completely.
    Alternatively you could just turn on Assisitive touch on accessibility and use that. That way you wont need to pay anything to fix your phone and wont need to take it apart either.

    I spilt some water on my thinkpad edge 11 around 5-6 months ago, and it is still working as good as ever, absolutely no signs of any source of water at all, or water damage signs, The amount was not a lot.
    Should I be worried ?
    Also, In addition to asking here, I asked teh local PC shop & the person advised me that there is probably no damage if after this long is still working as per usual, and I am very lucky.

    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
    Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
    Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
