My phone only vibrated when i have a call be no sound comes out .in the settings it produces sound when i choose a ring tone ! The silence button on the side would vibrate when turned on or off but this also no longer does this !

Airport Express Airtunes Plays But No Sound Comes Out

I have klipsch promedia 5.1 speakers which have 3 inputs, pink, green, and black. I have a piece from radio shack that converts those 3 inputs to one input with a female end. So I bought a extension mini cable with both male ends. Now when I plug my mini cable to my laptop every speaker plays fine. But when I plug it into the Airport express, it shows up in iTunes and has the song playing, but no sound comes out. Any ideas?

This is the first time I have tried to connect external speakers via my airport. I have an Airport extreme base station and an booster airport with itunes. They work fine for linking my laptops and printing, but when I tried to connect my Sony Hi fi with the mini cable and ask i tunes to use multiple speakers - first it takes a long time to try to connect - then it seems to be operating but no sound through the remote airport connection. I tried plugging in my i pod earphones to the remote airport and still got no sound. The sony mini cable output works fine with my digital radio - so that's OK.
Any ideas?

Making slide show from iPhoto pics. Voiceovers working fine, suddenly stopped producing sound though waveforms are present. Using external mike but tried internal mike to no avail. Mike works fine in Dragon Dictate. Manipulated waveform every wat possible to no avail. Any suggestions? BTW is there a limit to how many voiceovers one can put in a slideshow? Total length is 10 minutes.

Not sure why, but sometimes a project will just cease playback of Voiceovers added to it. I've seen this before, but never had it persist into a new project. As with any issues that are specific to a single project, it's usually best to start over, as one problem is quite possibly indicative of further issues down the line with that same project.
As a workaround (if you REALLY want to avoid recreating the project) would be to copy the voiceover files from within the iMovie Project file (browse to your Movies/iMovie Projects/ folder and right-click or CTRL+Click on the name of the project, then click "Show Package Contents") for that project out to your Desktop (or any other accessible location), then drag them back in to add them as a regular audio track. I've used this trick successfully, but it's not 100% (going back to the 'one problem means more later' thing).

When playing music on my iPhone 4 using earphones when out for a run, I select shuffle and only 3 or 4 songs play then the music stops as if I have set only 3 songs to play. How do I correct this??

When I am out for a run using earphone and a running APP I set my iphone 4 to shuffle songs but suddenly only 3-4 or 5-6 songs play and then they stop as if I set something to only play a certain number of songs from my playlist, its really irritating as I have to stop and press shuffle again, it happens with all my playlists and never mid song. This is a sudden issue as before I would just select shuffle and run and the music kept playing until I stopped it. What I remember the silent switch doing is when I put it in silent mode, an indicator icon would show on the screen indicating that sound is off and the phone would also vibrate.

Nope, not jailbreak. On 4.3.3 firmware also.
Problem was in settings; vibrate on silent was turned off. Turned it back on and problem is fixed.

AFAIK cameras offer their own built-in format utility for inserted SD cards. You should use that. Otherwise, refer to the manual that came with your camera to determine precisely how your SD cards need to be formatted to work properly. Personally, I'd suggest Partition Scheme: MBR, and Filesystem: FAT32.
Try to limit the number of formats you perform on the SD cards, though, as you're reducing their lifespan. I believe formatting causes re-writes to a portion of the SD card that has fewer read/write cycles than the rest of the card as a whole.

Have you tried another pair of headphones to rule out a problem with the headphones?
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

The Side Switch is to mute your ringers, and most of the application's sound. To totally mute the sound, you must use the rocker to mute it.

I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.
