help, my phone will not make calls and i can not recieve calls since the updates

I updated the IOS 6 a month ago and now the issue arises just today. I can make outgoing calls but unable to receive incoming calls and text messages. When someone try to call me it always says no network coverage area, but eventually the signal bar is full. And I realised that when I'm making an outgoing call, and I used another device to call my phone and it able to receive. But when I'm not calling out, the call unable to receive and it says that Out of Network Coverage Area.
Please help me...

Recently, My Galaxy S4 will not make or receive calls or texts while connected to my home WIFI. The status bar WIFI icon is highlighted and the Connection Bar icon has 0 bars. When I check the WIFI connection in "settings" the status is connected and shows very strong strength. Any time I try to make a call or send a text I get a "no network error message" and basically I am dead in the water as far as cell phone use is concerned. My S4 is my primary phone for home and business use and is very inconvenient when I am missing calls, etc. I have done a phone reset and removed SIM Card as well as a rest. Please advise.

jlrwillis, I know this would concern me just the same and we definitely want to figure this out for you. How long has this been going on? Since you started experiencing the issue have there been any changes to the device? Software updates, application downloads, or damage to the device? If WiFi is off while at home do you see that you are connected to cellular service? Are you able to make a call that way?

My phone will not send or receive calls; it goes straight to voicemail and when I try to send a call, it will not connect. I have reset, rebooted, and tried just about everything. Any other suggestions?

What did your carrier say when you contacted them and reported the problem?

Droid Maxx will not make or receive calls with a full signal

My Droid Maxx has been doing this for the last week or two. It seems to only happen at night though. I have a full 4g LTE signal, however it changes from grey to blue constantly. I am able to text, search the web, or plain just do anything else...other than call out or receive a phone call.
When I try and call it just says dialing or retrying.
Has anyone else had this same issue? I have searched my phone for any time settings that may be keeping me from making or receiving calls during certain hours since this only happens at night when I am at work but have not found anything.

I received a replacement phone and I have duplicated the problem on it. The call problems occur only when Wifi is turned on AND this began AFTER the KitKat release was installed on the phone(s). I noticed a similar complaint in the forum and his timeline suggests that he might be having the same problem. How can I get this investigated?

I am having the same problem. I tried the suggested fix above and it did not work. When I try to make the call it says "call failed" and disconnects.

I started experiencing this sometime last week. It does not make any sense to me so I ask you. My phone does not make or receive phone calls and texts while I am at my workplace. It had worked find from when I got the phone (Late August) through January. If it stopped working completely I'd figure it was a dead zone or something, although they do not just pop up out of nowhere. But it works sporadically. Like if i got to send a text maybe 1 out of every 4 will work, same with receiving them. And this is the same with phone calls. I will receive a call, get through maybe 15 seconds of it, then the call gets dropped. Then for the remainder of the day (as I do not use it much during work) it will not receive a call, it goes right to voicemail. I have tested this by repeatedly calling my phone from my work landline. It rings fine on that end, so others wouldn't suspect I am having an issue, and goes to voicemail. I left a voicemail and my phone did not alert me to it for over 10 minutes (it never told me I had a missed call) During this timeframe I also attempted to make phone calls from my iPhone, they would not ring, it would immediately drop. But again, it is sporadic. So after 5 or 6 times of attempting making phone calls one goes through. I had made an appointment at the Apple Store the first day that this happened but once I was on the road to the store I got all my texts, voicemails, pictures that I had attempted to send earlier, so I thought it pointless since I had no real proof of this happening. But now it seems to happen everyday, it just happened which prompted me to write this. Again, its only at work, and only recently started happening. There is no cell tower issue, everyone elses phone works here. I have turned off the phone, both a soft and hard reset, reset network setting, turned off/on 3G, Cell Data, taken out the SIM, moved it, etc. Everything short of getting another phone, but it works perfectly fine everywhere else. Any ideas???

I ended up taking my phone in to the Genius Bar, but we were unable to diagnose the problem. The genius said she had never seen anything like this before. We tried everything to figure out if it was hardware or software related, but never concluded anything. Instead of paying >$150 to fix/replace, I bought the iPhone5. iPhone5 is amazing. Maybe it was fate.

My wife is having the exact same issue after updating to the new iOS 8.1.1 and we've tried all the same steps even restoring the phone as a new phone. We've contacted our service provider and they've told us to go to apple to potentially "remove" her serial number from their servers to allow it to work properly on the service we have. Phone is only a few months old and was working fine last night - it ran out of battery but on being charged up this morning it was effectively locked. I received an error message that I could not make or receive calls and I had to restore via itunes. I have done so and lost loads of apps etc (my fault for not backing up) but still unable to make or receive calls. Anyone had anything similar and can advise who I should contact or what I can do.

settings>cellular>turn cellular data off>wait 10 seconds>then turn it back on and test
if that fail
settings>general>reset>reset network settings

I upgraded both of my iPhone4 to the new ios7, and then 7.0.2 and mine will not send or receive calls inside my apartment but the otherone will. I tried everything but VooDoo. Reset all date, reinstalled the software in iTunes, and set-up as a new iPhone but nothing. Freaky thing is the replacement Verizon sent today has the same issues. Anyone know why?

Can anyone help? Since updating my iphone to the latest ios7 my phone will not send or receive imessages and is now very slow.

Go to Settings>Messages> turn iMessage off. The go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Do a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, go back into Settings>Messages and turn on iMessage. See if it activates.
Apple has acknowldged an issue with iMessage and is working on an update. Look for that to be released sometime this week.
