(I hate the new forum format. Makes it difficult to tell where anyone is, which makes a big difference on some issues...)
Did you just get your phone? If you're with AT&T, you MAY be able to get them to give you a microcell free of charge if you complain that you have no service in your home, making it unusable there. If they won't give you one, you can purchase one for $150. If you don't want to do that, you may be able to break your contract since you don't have coverage where you're supposed to (assuming they actually cover the area fully).
Of course, I'm assuming you're in the U.S. and are having a problem with no cellular signal in your home. More information would be helpful.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

If you mean the iTunes logo and a usb cable, you need to connect the phone to a computer with iTunes on it. The device is in recovery mode.

I tried to update my iTunes software on my iPhone today and plugged it into my laptop. Before the process was complete, I received an error message saying I had to "restore" my iPhone before it would work with iTunes. Even more importantly, and troublesome, is the fact that now my phone won't even work at all. I can't turn the iPhone on, and all the screen shows is the iTunes icon with a picture of the white power cord. Can someone advise if there is a way to update the software without restoring my iPhone, which will cause me to lose everything on the phone (much of which I have not backed up yet)? Last, is my stuff already backed up by iCloud? I believe I have sellected that option on my phone, but honestly, have never really understood what iCloud is or does. Thanks in advance for any assistance/advice.

Verizon installed a month ago and my land line phone won't work

Had Verizon installed in December. My old internet/phone/cable provider raised their rates so I shopped around and went with Verizon. Soon after, my cordless phone would stop working. No dial tone and if someone tried to phone me, they would get a busy signal.
I've called Verizon several times for a fix. First replaced the line from the phone to the jack, then had a technician come out who said everything was fine. Had another tech come out and replace the battery pack in the garage. The phone will work, then go static and nothing.
I bought a new cordless phone, bought a new corded phone, bought a dsl filter..Nothing is fixing the problem. I went outside, plugged the phone into the box, made sure the wires were snug and voila the phone works...OUTSIDE. So now Im told its an inside wiring problem and I can a) add the inside wiring maintenance plan but can't use it for 30 days. b) call a technician to diagnose and fix the problem at $91 for the first 30 minutes and $46 for every 30 minutes thereafter.
Never had phone problems with Brighthouse. Not sure why now suddenly it's the house wiring when everything worked before Verizon. I don't have a cell phone so the land line phone is my only way of communicating. Does anyone have any tips or solutions? I feel like Im getting royally screwed here. This sucks, wish I never shopped around, wish I never switched providers.

Verizon installed FIOS last Thursday (Jan 30). Friday and thru the weekend I had no dial tone. Since Verizon makes it impossible to talk with a human being, I had to email customer service. Even telling them I'm disabled with no cell phone, never heard back until today (Monday), Eventually went through "wifi" customer service, had on-line chat & upon informing him of my disability he said he'd immediately transfer me to get the issue fixed on Friday. Nothing. I called the 888 number this morning to ask for assistance. They sent a technician out. First tech installed to incorrect outlet (when I turn off laundry light, it turns off the back-up box, so it continually beeps). Current tech told me to go to Radio Shack and purchase "a thing that will allow me to split the power; Radio Shack will know what I'm talking about." Also, only one of my phones (circa 1980 model) works. Even the cordless phones I had to purchase for Vonage no longer work. Current tech said, "COSTCO has a great set of Vtec cordless phones that will work fine."
When I made the request to return to Verizon I was told I could return to copper. I specifically requested that & after research the Customer Service person told me it was still available in my neighborhood. Yet, when 1st tech showed up, told me that was not true & I "had to go to FIOS."
So, Verizon installed a FIOS network I did not want, REQUIRING me to purchase phones I don't need. In fact, all of my corded phones worked just fine previous to FIOS!
As much as I detested Vonage I'm already to leave Verizon. Next step, Virginia Utilities Commission.

If the update had an error, then check out the article below to restore your iPhone. It will walk you through putting your iPhone into recovery mode and then using iTunes on your computer to restore it. If you have a back up through iTunes or iCloud, then your can put that back up back on after you have completed the restore.

I just tried to change my wall paper using a pic from my gallery, and the phone now will not work. I have power but no display. My green alert light is flashing and when I called the phone it rang. But I can't get the dispay to come on so I can't call, Power is on but phone won't work

Changed phone number, now phone won't work properly

After weeks of calls for the former phone owner the last @4AM, I initiated a number change. As soon as I hung up, the phone began to work differently. Bad signal, voice calls say dialing, but never go through. IE browsing doesn't work. A tech yesterday had me switch from Global mode to CDMA, which made things work better, but not like the phone used to be. My wife bought the same phone same time and hers still has the right number of bars and 3G on. Mine now goes to 1X or 3G one bar. It is a little disconcerting to think something as simple as a number change could make a nice phone all but a paperweight...obviously if the phone was great before, then not working right afterwards, there is an issue. Tech went through all the settings on the phone. *228 etc. Suggestion was to leave in CDMA mode...yet again, phone didn't need this before and it didn't restore signal and speed that was present proof to number change.

While I unfortunately have no idea how to fix it, I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain. I am in college, and last year I was living in the same apartment complex I lived in the year before, just a different apartment. I had the exact same phone both years, the original Droid. Yet for some reason, last year there was a 2 block radius around my apartment where I had absolutely no service whatsoever. I had to buy a network extender, and this only worked half the time. I went through EIGHT Droids, before they finally gave me a Droid 2. This Droid 2 worked with the network extender, but it made no sense to me why this was even an issue. My roommate had the HTC Incredible with Verizon, and his phone worked just fine. I went through so many tech support guys at Verizon, made it to level 3 numerous times, and they never could figure out why in the world this was happening. Go figure. They suggested changing phone numbers, but I did not do this, because I didn't want to and it made no sense why this would fix the issue. Heck, they only said it might fix the problem anyway.
Now I have the HTC Trophy and I am living in a different apartment complex. It works fine here and I ventured over that way just to test it out and it worked fine there. Makes absolutely no sense. But yeah, I feel your pain and I hope you solve your issue.

Syncing Phone won't work properly

I sycned my 6131 phone to Outlook (PC has windows 2000) and I had problems! 1) The contacts I deleted in Outlook were still on my phone. 2)The contacts where I updated details in Outlook were added as ADDITIONAL contacts on my phone. Effectively I had certain contacts listed twice, rather than once with updated information. The setting I chose on Nokia PC Suite was to update one way - from Outlook to my phone. Why won't the sync work properly?

2 way sync is what original sync is all about:
1) first phase, 2 databases (this case PC/Outlook and Nokia/Phone, both having phonebook with different data
2) Let's introduce "SYNC", which means that after "sync session" both databses are IDENTICAL.
Then these 1 way sunc's are just some sorry sessions that try to meet a need of a user that has a need that really cannot be fulfilled by sync.

If it won't talk at all to iTunes, you can hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds, it will power off, this is ok, then let go of the power button while holding the home button until iTunes sees it as a device in recovery mode. You can try to reinstall iOS7 and then restore.

Landline rotary phone does not work in my house.

I have a sort of antique rotary landline phone. It did work perfectly well until I got Xfinity phone service. I can receive calls but not make them. All other types of phones work fine. Also the phone works fine elsewhere. I had a Comcast technician in to tell me there must be something wrong with phone but there is not. What's wrong?

HELP!! Don't understand why my new phone won't work!!

HELP!! I just brought my iPhone home and went through the activation process. Everything was fine. Then all of a sudden, where the bars for service are... it says "Searching" and won't stop.
