Whenever i plug an auxiliary cable in to my phone only one side of the speakers or headphones work.. & my phone won't let me do anything but charge when i plug my phone into a usb port.. what is the problem?

To switch what you do when you plug in the USB cable
MENU>SETTINGS>CONNECT TO PC>. Make sure. ASK ME is checked.
As for using ear buds, if I listen live, I am fine. But any recorded broadcasts, I only have audio in one bud.... Go figure

New iPhones don't come setup with an Apple ID/Password. What you're experiencing is called Activation Lock, & unless you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to first activate this phone, you won't be able to reactivate it.
You can login to iCloud.com, from any computer, use Find My Phone to locate & erase the phone. But, you'll still need to know the original Apple ID/Password to reactivate it.

If it is asking for account details then it might just need you to confirm your account before it lets you proceed. Maybe the terms and conditions changed since last time or something like that. Try signing into your Apple account in iTunes on a computer first to check that. Then restart the phone and try again.

In preferences turn on iTunes sharing in iTunes preferences and keep iTunes turned on in both accounts. Or better yet put the iTunes library on the main HD rather than in an account and set the location of the library to that location in iTunes preferences.

Before the process was complete, I received an error message saying I had to "restore" my iPhone before it would work with iTunes. Even more importantly, and troublesome, is the fact that now my phone won't even work at all. How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

It's in recovery mode. You don't have a choice. You have to restore the phone. Anything that was on it is already gone.
If you've been backing up/syncing on a regular basis, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup.

I understand from a support note that if I keep trying my password/username combination, my BB will eventually delete all data!
I can't understand this. I'm completely lost now. I can't remember what I've done or tried to do. A plethora of usernames and passwords is swimming in my head.
Thanks for any hints. I have always loved this BB Bold and have never had any trouble with it.

But the real question is why for the past year did the passwords work and then all of the sudden after this anomaly the disk password doesn't work? I'm not 100% sure of what my configuration was, but I know that most of the time it required one password -- supervisor, and occasionally it asked for 2 -- disk password as well I believe. This may have been related to the Password on Restart setting I think -- asking for the disk password on cold vs. warm boot. But I know both were exactly the same. But after this incident only the Supervisor password worked.
