When i plug my Ipod touch 4th generation in it goes to the apple screen and then shuts off and then turns back on and goes to a solid blue screen.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why is my phone frozen at the Settings screen?
I am trying to exit the setting screen and none of the buttons seem to work. I cannot even power off the phone.
Do a reset as the manual suggests: hold the home button and the on/off switch simultaneously until the phone "reboots" and the Apple logo appears--often about 30 seconds

I downloaded the lateest update and I can't turn off my apps like I did on 6os. The 7os is different and I can't seem to find out if apps turn off now by just closing them. Can anyone explain this to me? Please
Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up
iOS 7 also allows apps to run while they aren't open.
You can manage these here:
Settings > General > Background App Refresh -

I just tried to update my iPhone 4 to 7.1 and for some strange reason the phone wouldn't update then wanted me to restore it... (Figures!) But my lock button no longer works so holding the home button and the lock button is a option I have to rule out. I have no way to repair my phone myself. What can I do?
Hello Edward
Follow the prompts on your iPhone and you will get either at your home screen like normal or get to a point of restoring from back up. The article below will give step by step for restoring from back up.

My phone is stuck on "boot screen" and my lock button is broken what can I do?
I need help! My phone has been stuck on the boot (black screen/white logo) and my lock/home button is broken and doesn't work. I have already let the battery die and tried connecting it back up that way but it stays on the boot screen. What can I do?
This is covered in the basics section of the manual:

My ipod touch 4th gen. is stuck on the white screen and my lock button is broken
My ipod touch is stuck on the 'white screen of death' and every website says to hold down the lock/wake button and the home button to fix it. But my lock button is jammed. How do I fix it?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My daughter was playing a game on my husbands phone and it froze on her. The screen displayed the turnoff slide bar or cancel, he tried to hit cancel and it did nothing, so he slid the slide to turn off. when he did that he proceeded to turn off, but never completely shut off, and now the phone will do nothing! I have tried restoring and also hooking up to itunes. i do not know what to do in this situation. any help would be greatly appreciated. i dont know if there is a way to take the back off to remove the battery. if you could give me some information that would be great. thank you
Try a reset by pressing and holding the Power and Home buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.
Was the battery replaced by Apple or an authorized repair facility? If not, and any warranty existed, that warranty is now void. -
NB550D boots into black screen and can't even turn off
I've had my NB550D for just under a month. I've upgraded the memory to 2Gb and the Op System to Home Premium, but nothing else. It's on auto update re security issues and I've stayed with the McAfee protection that was pre-installed (and paid for a year).
Everything fine until a couple of days ago when switching on, I just got black screen. Could hear fan and disk though. Eventually pressed the on/off button, nothing changed, waited a bit, pressed it again and it turned off. When I pressed again it came on as normal. Used it several times over last couple of days and was fine. Now today I switch on and black screen again, and can hear fan. When I eventually pressed switch, I could hear disk whirr but still just black screen. Since then have tried pressing on/of switch occasionally but no change at all - can't even get it to switch off!
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
FlingelI read in another forum that the answer is to take the battery out (having already taken the mains out) so it'll die and then press and hold the power button for 30 - 60 seconds. I had nothing urgent to do so let it die naturally when the battery ran out rather than take the battery out when it was on. I then held the power button for 60 seconds, plugged it into the mains and switched on again. It's started fine now but of course I don't know a) whether that's because I held the power button in for 60 seconds and b) whether same thing's going to happen again, so if anybody does have experience of this behaviour, I'd be grateful for comment.
Thanks

Where's the Digital Clock and how do you turn off 4G to go to 3G?
Ok, just did the update and so far so good... exccept for two things.
1) I had a digital clock on my home page prior to the update. After the update, it's gone and I can't find a widget for it. There's one for the anaolg clock but seriously, who wants an analog clock? Is there a way to get the old one back or do I need to find an app for a digital clock. I tried running some digital clock apps when I first got the RAZR but none of them worked.
2) My phone, prior to the update, was left in 3G mode 90% of the time to conserve battery life. Now that the update is done, it's been in 4G mode all day and I can't find a way to revert it back. I have now had to recharge my RAZR after basic usage that I would do in 3g mode that would've left the battery with plenty of charge. Please tell me there's someway to get it back into 3G mode.
Thanks in advance! You can use this Free app to help ya do the switch between 3G and 4G.
