My phone wont sync to my computer it says mobile account isn't active?

i have a new computer ,windows 7 and my iphone wont sync with itunes. It says mobile device is not active? help please.

Unplug iPhone from the computer.
In iTunes, go to EDIT - PREFERENCES - DEVICES
Delete all backup(s). [Another backup will be made the next time you sync your iPhone]
Click on 'Reset Sync History'
Click OK and Close iTunes.
Connect your iPhone with iTunes and sync.
Hopefully, this should resolve the issue.

To troubleshoot this issue where you get an error that the activation server is unavailable, please follow the steps outlined below.
If your carrier provided a SIM card, make sure it's in your iPhone.
Restart the iPhone.
Try to reach the activation server another way, then try to activate.
Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you can't activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you can't activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
Check the system status for iOS Device Activation. If the iOS Device Activation status isn't green, try activating your iPhone later.
If you receive an alert message when you try to activate your iPhone, place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you still can't complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.
If you're asked to enter a password to proceed with activating the iPhone, Activation Lock might be enabled as part of Find my iPhone.

You should copy everything from your old computer to your new one, then sync.
The iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will indeed erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

Only iTunes purchased music can hava a cloud icon and then only if the music was purchased with the account listed in Settings>iTunes and App Store on the iPod.
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

I Phone wont Sync

I have just activated my Micro Sim (Australia) and am trying to Sync to get started. However, the phone wont sync and will only let me use it for emergency calls. There is only one small bar that is registering for service, but my Mobile service provider (TPG) says everything is OK from their end. So two Qs: Why is there no service on my IPhone and is this the reason why it wont allow me to get started and set up?

If you are syncing manually, you'll need to manually drag this playlist over and onto your iPhone from under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes.
Apps can not be managed manually. You'll need configure them to sync to your iPod. See this article for more instructions and information.

I'm trying to sync a playlist onto my phone through the computer and it says my device is already synced with another computer with my iTunes account. It only lets me cancel or it gives me the option to erase my contents and sync. Wondering how to get my device from the other computer especially since I don't even know what computer it's connected to.

At some stage is is likely to have been connected to another computer's iTunes. It is now linked to that computer's library and iPhones can only be associated to one library at a time. Linking to a different one requires wiping the phone.
If you used the phone with another computer you owned you can transfer the iTunes library from that computer to this one and the phone will still be syncing with the same library it was before.
If all there is on the phone are items which can be backed up to iTunes and purchases which can be transferred you could do that, then wipe the phone and sync them back.

First off, an iPad is designed to sync with only one computer. Syncing with a second computer erases everything synced from the first computer.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? What happens when you try and what, if any, error messages do you receive? Do you have iTunes 11.1 or later on the computer you want to sync with?
