My photos appear in negative format

My ipod nano photos appear in negative format

Hi , I got the same issue yesterday, 2 ways to fix it
1) From your IPOD , go to SETTING , tab GENERAL , tab ACCESSIBILITY, tehn turn WHITE on BLACK  off.
or
2) Connect your IPOD to PC Itunes , click on your IPOD NAME , then in ITUNE SUMMARY , click on the tab in the bottom of the page and uncheck the WHITE on BLACK.
Hope this works for you.

  • Photos appear as negative images after updating to iOS 7

I have the iPhone 4S.  After downloading iOS 7, my photos are still present but appear as negative images.  Anyone else have this problem?

It is still there and the same as before, you just have to click on the various views available.  I think it is the album view that shows the Camera Roll first as before.  The default view after downloading iOS 7 is not the same, but you can change  it.

  • I downloaded my photos from my Hp laptop, but all of the photos are in negative format - how do I fix this?

Do I have to remove all photos from my ipad now and try to download again?  Can I not change the view from negative to normal on the ipad?  Can I delete photos on the ipad?  Why did this happen?  Do I need a photo app on the ipad?

Can you see other pictures like wallpaper in normal mode?
Did you check the format of the photos you synced through iTunes?
iOS and iPod: Syncing photos via iTunes
On a Mac, these file formats will sync from your iPhoto Library to your device: JPG, JPEG, TIFF, PICT, GIF, PNG, JPG2000 or JP2, PSD, SGI, and BMP.
On Windows, these file formats will sync to your device: JPG , JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIF, TIFF, PSD, SGI, and PNG.
Did you check the settings for black&white in Settings/General/Accessibility/ "White on Black" ---> "OFF"

  • Synced Photos appearing as negative image on IPOD Touch

Hi - jpegs synced from my computer are appearing as photo "negative" images ie black is white. This is for both colour and black and white JPEGS. Removed the photos and re synced them all to no avail. Couldn't find any help topics - Help !!

They are sorted on the iPod by the modification date of the photos. To sort them the whay you want you can change the modification dates on the Mac and then sync or:

Sorry, should've mentioned some more information. I synced the ipad to the folder of photos. The original photos had file names like "_MG_4865.jpg" and after syncing the folder in Itunes, all files were now found in a folder called "iPod Photo Cache" which was filled with many folders with labels like "F23" etc. (There were ALOT of photos.) In those folders there are several files with names like "T343.ithmb". Not a .jpg to be found and I can't view any of the photos.

  • When I tap a photo in my iPhone photo gallery, the photo appears but there is always a "this movie format not supported" alert and then the alert goes away and the photo appears. These are photos I've taken with the iPhone and aren't even movies.

It's very odd. I take photos with my iPhone and then later go to view the photos in the Photo Gallery on my iPhone. The photos to appear, but I keep getting "this movie format not supported" alerts, even though I am looking at photos taken by my iPhone. The alert appears briefly just after the photo appears and then the alert goes away and I can see the photo. They are just still photos and not movies. Why wouldn't the iPhone recognize the format of photos it is taking?

That thread helped for a time.  But now it seems as though my computer is back to slow again.  But, some of the jargon is over my head as well.  Not sure I knew quoite everything they were talking about.  But thanks a lot for that, it helped I probably just need to reread it and follow the instructions again.  Thanks so much.

are you sure its not just the way you are viewing the photo? you don't even see noise on the preview in Bridge and when I say preview I mean when zooming into the preview window. My thought process being in PS you are zoomed in more

My photos from iPhone 6 appear in PNG format instead of JPG.  How can that be changed?

When using iCloud to download them, you are going through the wrong procedure. That PNG file you are downloading is just the thumb nail. Open the image in the browser, then look to the menu at the top. you will see an icon that looks like a cloud with a downward pointing arrow. Click that to download the image.
Syncing with Windows I can't help you with. I don't directly sync my iOS devices.

  • Explanation sought: why do alternate photos appear with top/bottom border in full screen view?

I've moved over to Photos - no especial problems to report.
But I'd be very glad if anyone can explain why, in full screen view, some photos appear as smaller than others. That is, some photos appear with larger black borders to the sides and about half a centimetre of black border top and bottom. Normally photos go to the edge of screen top and bottom - which is as you'd hope, so you can see the maximum amount of detail.
It happens with portrait and landscape format. So far as I can work out, the pattern is that one photo will display in full screen, then the next one not, flip-flopping back and forth. Apart from wasting screen space, this makes it harder to (e.g) HDR and normal versions of the same shot. Is anyone experiencing the same, or got any ideas what could be going on, or even better, how to stop this?
For clarity: I am looking at photos taken in the past few days on an iPhone 5s.
    Using Photos Version 1.0 (209.52.0)
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) running OS X 10.10.3

Old Toad asserts  "This [border problems] is new territory"
With all due respect, Old Toad, this problem was extensively documented (with examples) in the question of April 22: "screen aspect ratio is wrong in Photos slideshows".

Indeed, you yourself were one of the commenters on that thread.
Present status At the present time, no fix or workaround is known for border-related issues in Photos.

  • Iweb:  photos blur?  and formatting question

Does anyone know how to prevent photos from blurring when you publish a page to dot mac? On my photo page, (only) 2 of the photos appear blurry. I have tried to re-publish, to no avail.
Also - is there any way to include column formatting in text? I am trying to post an opera resume, with various things in columns. It appears OKAY in iweb, but looks horrible after publishing. Should I just save the info as a pdf and then paste as an object?
    Thanks,
    Kathleen

I see now. iWeb does not do columns very well. In a text box it only recognizes one space between words as that's a HTML feature. You might try something like this:
    ROLES
Vitellia.....................La Clemenza di Tito...................dell’Arte Opera Ensemble
    Donna Annna...........Don Giovanni.............................Taconic Opera, NY
to get your spacing. If the dots are objectionable, select them and give them the same color as the background while leaving the other information white.

  • IPhone screen and photos look like negatives of images.

I have a new Apple iPhone 4.  Screen and color was fine....photos looked great.  Now display screen and photos appear to look like negatives of the image.  What's up?  Can't seem to be able to find a setting to change it back to look normal.  Have only had for 5 days.

Thanks so much.......I thought it might be something my son and niece did....just couldn't figure out what they did.

  • Everything is appearing in negative and is partly frozen!

My 6 year old son has been meddling with my ipod and appears to have altered some settings on it so that all display pictures and icons appear in 'negative' photo mode, enlarged ( so that not all the wallpaper photo can be seen) and it is difficult to move things across the screen (eg slide to open). Then once opened, all icons are in negative, larger and difficult to move across the screen (poorly responsive to touch). When I open the camera icon - it takes photos in negative.  In short - nothing is as it was and I'd really like to find my photos!  I have tried rebooting several times. I have tried opening the settings icon and pressing 'return to store settings' but it doesn't respond. Thank you for your help.

    Hi kshieh
You can try two possible steps:-
1]Triple click the home button.  You should get an accessibility menu.deselect the negative/black and white option.
2]Go to settings->General->accessibility->and deselect invert colours.
    That should fix it

In competitive exams photo in "true color" format.... How to do it in adobe photoshop>>> please replay it.....

Mayuk, you are not making any sense here.
    True color (24-bit)
"True Color" redirects here. For images with natural color rendition, see true-color.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Truecolor.png 24 bits (16,777,216 colors, "truecolor")
True color supports 24-bit for three RGB colors. It provides a method of representing and storing graphical-image information (especially in computer processing) in an RGB color space such that a very large number of colors, shades, and hues can be displayed in an image, such as in high-quality photographic images or complex graphics. Usually, true color is defined to mean 256 shades of red, green, and blue, for a total of 224 or 16,777,216 color variations. The human eye can discriminate up to ten million colors.[13]
     Color images composed from 3 grayscale images A, B & C assigned to R,G & B in different orders.
"True color" can also refer to an RGB display-mode that does not need a color look-up table (CLUT).
For each pixel, generally one byte is used for each channel while the fourth byte (if present) is being used either as an alpha channel, data, or simply ignored. Byte order is usually either RGB or BGR. Some systems exist with more than 8 bits per channel, and these are often also referred to as true color (for example a 48-bit true-color scanner).
Even with true color, monochromatic images, which are restricted to 256 levels, owing to their single channel, can sometimes still reveal visible banding artifacts.
True color, like other RGB color models, cannot express colors outside of the gamut of its RGB color space (generally sRGB).
Macintosh systems refer to 24-bit color as "millions of colors".
RGBA color space, or 32-bit color, is a variant of true color in which the additional 8-bit is allocated to transparency and indicates how transparent is the element to which the color is assigned, when overlaid on other elements.
