My Photos usage won't decrease, no matter how many photos & videos I delete
Ok, I was going through and cleaning up camera roll this morning, and noticed that no matter what I do, my Photos & Video usage on my 5S won't go below 9 gigabytes. Even worse, after I noticed this, I went through and deleted some more photos, and usage actually increased to 9.1 gigabytes. I am definitely not using 9 gigabytes of space, but when I go to my 'About' tab, it shows that I have 2,071 pictures and 125 videos, when I definitely don't. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? I've restarted, but haven't done a reset.

u need to go anther photo folder shown delete, please see my photo as below attached, the new ios 8 add temporary deleted files when you delete your video or photo will automatic store at recent deleted folder, that have potential to recover when you want too which maximum 30days duration stay on this folder then eliminate when on time. you need to delete again as confirmation at this folder. below shown the temporary folder , hope this can help you out

I've tried re-installing and installing it back, but failed =(You should still have the older version of Firefox (the beta installs alongside the older version). Check under add/remove programs. If you do, just locate the .exe in program files under Mozilla, and create a shortcut.

hey guys I think a trojan was somehow let loose on my computer... And I think it's living in my email because no matter how many times I try to quit Mail, it won't quit. How do I kill this trojan?

For your Mail issue, try the following:
- Go to Software Update to apply the new update for Mail. Not sure, but there may be bug fixes in the new version.
- Go to Disk Utility (In Applications, Utilities) and run a Permissions Repair. Then do a restart of your computer. -
I have an item that appeared in my history, along with my language being changed to chinese. how can I undo this? can I reset safari? This item wont go away no matter how much I hit delete history.
The "Favorites" icons that appear when you open a new tab are just a special folder in your Bookmarks. To add items to the page, add a bookmark (by tapping the "Bookmark" item in the "Action" popover) and specify the Favorites folder as the destination.
To remove items from the "Favorites" view, tap the Bookmarks icon, then tap "Edit" to remove bookmarks from the Favorites folder.
You may also press-and-hold an item in the Favorites view to re-order it (rather than using the Bookmarks view to reorder them). -
And there was once when i tried to re-install again. There was this window said all my purchased apps will be erased and I have to repurchase them in the future. What is going on here?

It won't align, no matter how many times I try!!

Ever since I bought the printer and installed it, it has never been aligned. Right now it is an extremely expensive and large paperweight.
I have tried troubleshooting the alignment, printing numerous alignment pages, etc - everytime the same result. It says "successful", but the printing is all over the page...diagonally off course.
Ever now and then it says "wrong size of papr loaded" - when clearly I am loading A4 paper into the A4 size tray setting. So it doesn't make sense.
Can anyone help??

1. Are you able to make a copy from the front panel, or does this come out with the same defects?

IPod won't restore no matter how many times I try...
After a fall, my iPod has been showing the message telling me to restore it using iTunes. I did so, but every time it restores the same message just pops up again and it repeats...so even though it says it restored factory settings, immediately I get a message saying iTunes is detecting an iPod in recovery mode that needs to be restored. None of the R's have worked. I've tried reformatting it, and it said it didn't format properly.
I will be bringing it to a friend's tomorrow who has a mac to see if I can restore it there, but other than that is there anything else I can do?? I leave on Wednesday for Scotland so I NEED to get this fixed ASAP!You are caught in a Restore loop, probably due to a drive conflict with another device connected to your computer on the USB chain. Connect your iPod to a rear port on your computer, your keyboard and your mouse and disconnect all other USB devices including scanners, printers, modems, external hard drives, thumb drives etc. and disconnect from any network you might be on. Then change the drive letter to something much higher, like M or P or Z.
If you format your iPod on the Mac, you'll have to Restore it on your PC for it to work.

Hi guys, an empty folder is stuck in my trash & I get this message: "The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in the folder can’t be read or written. (Error code -36). It won't shift no matter how I try to Secure Empty trash. Any ideas?
The Time Machines Backup is formated as Mac OS Extended (Case Sensitive, Journaled), my mac is formated as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
The names on the file are all Uppercase
When I try to copy the Aperture file, it copies about 70% of the file (it's about 33GB in size), and halfway through I get this error.
I'm able to copy 99.99% of all of the images if I open the Aperture Folder using the "show package contents" under the backups using finder (Time Machine Backups>Backups.backupdb>CQ Macbook Air>2012-04-30-070933>HD.....>Pictures>Aperture Library). The only file I can't copy is that picture, which I'm totally ok with deleting, but Finder won't delete it for me. If nothing else works, I could copy the individual masters and re-create the folders, however I'd hate to do this as I would have to go through 10,000+ pics -
As the title says, my iTunes just updated. So it asked to update my iPhone operating system. I'm logged in but no matter how many pages I link through or page through it won't accept "agree" and move on. Now I can't do anything with the phone.
It randomly decided to start working after three hours, nevermind.

PHP won't recompile, no matter how I try

In March, I installed PostgreSQL on my computer, and I recompiled PHP with the --with-pgsql option to take advantage of this. I don't remember the exact date, but it must have been within a couple days of March 9th, since that's when all my related files were created.
Everything worked fine, and I was developing things as I had expected to. I hadn't worked on my project since about April, and I came back to it the other day, to find that PHP had reverted to an older build, apparently from February 20th.
Now, no matter how many times I reconfigure or recompile or reinstall PHP, it doesn't change the version on my computer.
When I run "make install", I get this:

And then it ends. All the files related to PHP seem to be updating, but PHP itself remains untouched. I can't figure out what made my newer build disappear. I don't know where the issue is to even fix this. I'm not getting any errors at any step of the way, except that PHP isn't reinstalled when I finish.
Anyone have a clue what's going on?I suspect that you lost your newer build as the result of Security Update 2008-002 which was released on 18 March. Would this fit the timing? The update included PHP updates.
In general, it is a bad idea to install software into /usr/bin, /usr/share etc. A better choice is /usr/local/bin etc. This is true even if - perhaps even especially if - you are installing a newer version of something included in OS X. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but they really are very few and do not include PHP.
I don't really know PHP (or at all, in fact). How do you know it isn't updating?
Assuming the source uses the auto tools, did configure find everything OK? Actually, let me back up here.
Did you run configure and make again in your source directory or did you just do make install? Apple's Security Update also included updates for Apache, for example, so you might need to reconfigure the source (make clean; ./configure --my-args; make; make check; make install).

I have thee Mac computers with Mac OS 10.6.8, one of which is a Mac Pro. No matter how many updates I install from Adobe, their Flash Player does not work on any of these 3 computers. I don't know how to contact Adobe Systems about this problem, but I think it is their responsibility to make sure that their so-called "universal" software works proplerly on a relatively recent operating system like OS 10.6.8 that is still in widespread use. When you install the updates, nothing happens -- not even an error message. What is the point of a universal player that is not universal? It works fine on my MacBook Pro with OS 9 Mavericks, but it does not work at all -- indeed, has never worked -- on my 3 Macs with OS 10.6.8. Has anyone contacted Adobe Systems to find out why the Flash Player does not work with OS 10.6.8 and what they plan to do about it?

If it still won't install, do these two things: First uninstall any Flash by going into the second level Hard Drive Library>Internet Plug-ins, and trash the Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt. Then boot into Safe Boot, Shift at the startup chime (give it much longer than a usual boot) and run the installer while booted in Safe Boot. -

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

Did you go on-line and fix your billing information? You probably need to do this from iTunes on your computer, not your phone.
