My Photostream on Windows 7 pc remains empty

I have recently bought an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2.
In Settings > iCloud > photos > My photostream is 'on'
I have Wifi
On my PC with windows 7, in the iCloud configuration screen, I have Photo's > Options >  My photostream 'on'
I have changed the location to: c:\ foto's \ iPhone foto's
But still, all the folders on my PC remain empty. I have never seen any photo from my iPhone on my PC.
What do I do wrong?
Thank you so much for helping me!
Regards,
Marion

A number of people have problems with photo stream on their PC when they change the default iCloud photos location.  You might want to uncheck Photos on the iCloud control panel, then check it again and this time leave it set to the default location.

will photos in my folder called photostream on a windows computer remain there or do they go away in 30 days if i dont save them to another windows folde?

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486  looks like 30 days for icloud.
But as a precaution, you should save it again on your computer.

  • Fotostream on my iPad remains empty

    Hi folks,
I have an iPhone, an iPad, a Windows 7 notebook and a Windows XP PC.
I have installed and activated icloud on the iPhone, iPad and Windows 7 notebook (unfortunately, the iCloud software does not run on windows PC) all with the same Apple ID account. Pictures taken on my iPhone appear on my Windows 7 notebook. Pictures moved to the fotostream upload directory of my Windows 7 notebook appear on my iPhone.  But my iPad fotostream stays emtpy!
Note that my iPhone is connected to the Windows 7 notebooks iTunes' mediathek while my iPad is connected to my Windows XP iTunes' mediathek. However, I do not think that this is the cause of my problem since synchronisation of the fotostream is done via iCloud (over the air) not via iTunes.
    Any idea?

    No ideas? Anyone?
Again:  on my iPad most of the time fotostream remains empty (only once I have seen the pictures from my fotostream, but a few hours later, they were gone).
Yes, I have activated iCloud and Fotostream on my iPhone.
Yes, I have installed and activated iCloud and Fotostream on my Windows PC.

  • SCCM 2012 SCCMContentLib folder remains empty on DP

I have a few standalone DP's which are not getting the packages distributed to them
I have 74 Secondary Sites, 1 Primary (no CAS), and 12 standalone DP's
All Secondary sites are operating properly and half of the DP's are not getting any packages disributed to them
Within IIS I have noticed the the DataLib, FileLib and PkgLib virtual directories have not been created, I also noticed that the SCCMContentLib folder on the DP remains empty.
I have cross referenced everything I can think of between the functional DP's and the broken DP's and this seems to be the only thing wrong. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything (including IIS), rebooted and still getting nowhere with this.

  • How do i get the download window to remain open after closing firefox browser window

i sometimes download a bunch of files all at ones then have to go back to review them. but i don't need the browser open to do this just the download window. in older versions the download window would remain open after i closed the browser but i don't see a way to do that anymore?

You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.download.manager.quitBehavior
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

Recently, there has been a bug on my Mac OS X Lion, while trashing an iphoto the errant pic does not go to trash bin, but simply disappears! Which makes it impossible to change my mind. The trash remains empty, yet the pic is gone, and I never even emptied the trash (because it never made it to the trash)! How to recover the album I just accidently made disappear in this way?

Sorry - there have been no updates to that system for a long time
Try to backup your iPhoto library and lanch iPhoto while holding the option and cannoned keys down - repair permissions and if needed rebuild the database

We used ADF to programatically set the payload of a new BPM Instance, using JDev 11.1.1.6 and our BPM is also 11.1.1.6. Followed standard documentation.. and payload gets set, and submitted.
    firstTask.setPayloadAsElement(payload);
    wfSvcClient_.getTaskService().updateTaskOutcome(ctx, firstTask, Utilities.INIT_TASK_SUBMIT_OUTCOME);
When we check in the BPMN for "exiting the initiator activity", we see payload set BUT dataObject with no elements set (empty):
    <auditQueryPayload auditId="505000" ciKey="560017">
    <serviceOutput>
    <element name="execData" detailId="59246" isBusinessIndicator="false"> <value> <task xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/task"> ...
    <payload> <PurposeOfFiling xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/OR1/OR1_FORMS_V2/PurposeOfFiling">
    *<purOrganizationId>C078</purOrganizationId>*
    </PurposeOfFiling> </payload>
    ..... </serviceOutput>
    <dataState> <dataObject name="PurposeOfFiling" isBusinessIndicator="false"> <value>
    <PurposeOfFiling xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpm/bpmobject/BusinessObjects/PurposeOfFiling">
    *<purOrganizationId></purOrganizationId>*
    </value></dataObject></dataState>
    </auditQueryPayload>
On entering the second activity (there is nothing between the first and second activity, i.e. direct link), the form comes up empty.
It appears that in "firstTask.setPayloadAsElement(payload);" the payload is getting set, but the dataObject is empty, and that the dataObject is what is feeding the second activity, and so that is empty.
Is there a way that we can ensure that the payload "feeds" the dataObject?
Or alternatively, that the payload "feeds" the second activity?
How would it be done? Would really appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks!
    Ali.

    Thanks Bill.
It was something that I had in an earlier build (when I was looking into payload updates) and had removed.. but I've gone ahead and put it back.
    These are my results:
When the BPM Application Output is wired for dataObject -to- dataObject (which I think is the right way to do), then the dataObject still remains empty.
When the BPM Application Output is wired for UI -to- dataObject, then the Instance gets suspended due to uninitializedVariable.
When the BPM Application Output is not wired at all (and Input was never wired to begin with) then dataObject is missing all together.
One thing I noticed (on just trying the first activity by itself) is that the payload is shown in the UI (i.e. task Payload gets into UI). This was the effect of the "updateTask".
However, in case of programatic SUBMIT, the payload is still not passed to the next activity. This appears to be once again because the dataObject itself is not being set.
Also interestingly I found the below BUG request recently (3/22/2013) registered with Oracle, asking for APIs to be able to get/set the actual dataObject:
BUG 16537745 - ABILITY TO ACCESS PROCESS INSTANCE DATAOBJECT VALUES USING API --> Oracle Business Process Management Suite
    - I don't have access to the details of it, but I'm guessing that their dataObject was not being set, and so API Access is requested to set it.
However, if there is an existing solution - whereby the dataObject payload can be set (besides the task Payload), I'd much appreciate.
    Thanks!

  • Smart playlists won't update, remains empty even after weeks

Before I updated to the new iTunes, my smart playlists worked fine. My current version (11.0.3.) does not seem to add songs to or update any of the playlists I have created since downloading the new version. I have turned my itunes on and off several times and the version is up to date. I read this thread, posted by someone who had the same problem but his/her playlist automatically updated itself a few hours after it was created. Some of my smart playlists have remained empty for weeks. How do I solve this issue? It is driving me crazy.

Hi all.  I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues.  Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem.  …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive.  Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab.  Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
    Open the Users folder.
    Open your user folder
    Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
    Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco.  The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”.  Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear.  Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?
    Good luck…

    hello
how to remove Ads by CouponDropDown on safari with mavericks like extensions remains empty
    thank you

Since I do not use Safari, I had no idea that was an extension, but that person should not be calling that a virus as that is a bit over the top; besides, I have extensions turned on precisely because I want Adblock and WOT to run.
If that is an extension, then it was installed and can be uninstalled which would appear to be a good way to handle it.
    @bragon18:
I'm on my Mountain Lion machine and I do have extensions showing on the left:

    Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
    * [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
    * [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

  • System list remains empty

    Hi,
I've tried executing the "QuickStart" example given in the Visual Composer user guide. After creating model, module, page, Iview.. I'm trying to import BAPI.
Here, when I give link to the Portal I'm using, connection with the Portal is working but the System list remains empty.
( in my Portal Landscape Directory I've defined the system an user mapping for that and Its working fine)
Can anyone suggest me, where I'm going wrong.
    Regards,
    Mausam

    Hi Mausam,
These are the following possibilities where you may have done something wrong.
    1. System Definition: Make sure you have defined the system you want
to connect. Do the following to verify the same.
    In case of "UserMapping"
    Checklist:
      1. System Alias is defined
      2. UserManagement property of the system definition is set to  "UIDPW"
      3. System permissions are set to give access to end users.
eu_role/authenticated_user/or any group that you want to give access to
          the system.
One of the above groups is added to the system definition and make sure
eu_role has "end user" box checked.
      4. Once the steps 1 to 3 are correct then go to personalize link
    (For this link
to show up the user that you logged on should have eu_role assigned),
select usermapping and see in the dropdownlist the system you
    have defined
          appears (Alias name)
Select the system, enter the userid and password and save.
      5. Now go to the support desk and check by selecting "SAP Transaction"
if it connects automatically using the id and pwd you have
    provided by doing
          usermapping.
      6. If step 5 works without you entering the userid/password then
    you are ready to
test with Visual Composer. If not make sure step 4 is complete.
      7. Now start the Visual Composer and connect to portal and select the system
and specify the BAPI. It should give you the list.
    If SSO:
Follow the above procedure except the following steps.
      2. Make sure the UserManagement property is set to "SSO2LOGON"
      4. Skip step 4
    Hope this helps.

  • LOV remains empty

Hi there, i'm working with the JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.
I have a problem with a lov. I've created a View which is read-only and queries a database view. When I run this VO in the AppModuleTester it works fine and i can see my values.
I need a LOV, so i have created anothe view with only one transient attribute. On this transient attribue i have added the other view as an lov. When i now run the lov in the AppModuleTester the LOV remains empty.
But the parent view still shows the correct values.
Now i don't know what i should, because in my opinion i've created the view correct. Perhaps someone has seen this error or has an idea how to solve this.
    Thanks in advance.

Ok, i've debugged the issue a bit.
The parent VO holding the data is getting the correct values even with binding variable in action, but i can't see where the transient attribute holding the LOV is created.
So where is this transient attribute created and mapped to the LOV, this is not 100 percent clear for me?
I want to understand why the LOV is not showing in the page but in the model tester.
Ok, when i create the LOV on an attribute which is bound to a EO attribute i can see the LOV, but when it is used on a transient attribute i can't see the LOV.
The use case i have to get a list of values from the db, and the user can choose one option of this list for a report parameter. I can't use a static list, becuase the value depend on the user who is logged in.
So, is there a workaround or way to get the LOV working for transient attibutes?
Edited by: Alex on 26.04.2012 11:36
Ok, i've just solved it myself.
Just set the attribute to be updateable.

  • Photostream and Windows 8

I just got a Windows 8 laptop and installed iCloud Control Panel 2.0 for the first time so I can back up by Photostream to my computer (didn't have enough hard drive memory before). I'm only syncing the photos, nothing else (mail, contact, etc.). It downloaded the last month's worth of photos (less than 100), but my Photostream shows over 950 photos. It seems to be downloading all new photos, but not the older ones. I thought it was supposed to download everything? Am I missing something? I don't want to lose all of my older photos since Photostream only holds the latest 1,000. Can anyone help me?
    Thank you.

worked for me until the new Icloud for windows if you can find a verion lower than 3 it worked like a charm
