My photostream stopped working

My photostream just stopped working! Anyone have a fix or know why?

I am having the same friggin' problem.  Worked fine for a while, but quit updating either way.  tried all the suggestions in all the different photostream not working posts I could find, and it's still not working.  tried resetting photostream, deleting and reinstalling iCloud, nothing.  Tried toggling everything off and then back on - nothing.  Checked settings on iCloud Control Panel - nothing.  I'm connected to wi-fi which is right here on my desk - nothing.  Nothing.  Nothing. Nothing.

  • HT201077 Web link to PhotoStream stopped working recently.

The link that PhotoStream generated for my album has stopped working recently (after almost a year with no problems).  Instead, I get taken to the generic http://www.apple.com/icloud/photos/ site.  Is this unique to me?

I'm getting the same response.  My be server issues as Apple has been having problems with the App Store servers also.  Report it to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html and  http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html  as will I.

  • Shared Photostream stopped working

My wife and I each have a shared photostream that we use to share photos.  This worked perfectly for a while, but has now stopped working.  Currently, if either of us upload a photo to our respective photostream, the other isn't notified, and those pictures don't show up on their phone.  I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing, which did nothing.  I did completely delete the photostream and create a new one, which worked for about a day, and then stopped again.  Any ideas?
We're both using iOS 6, her on an iPhone 4 and myself on a 5.

I inadvertently solved the issue on my own.  I realized that my wife's phone was nearly out of storage space, which was preventing photos from being added to the photostream.  I didn't realize that when you add a picture to a shared photostream it actually puts that photo on your phone twice, taking up more space.  So she couldn't add to hers, and she couldn't get the ones I was adding.  We removed some items from her phone to free up space, and then started getting notifications of photos added on both our phones.

  • HT204053 photostream stopped working

My photostream used to go to my windows 8 machine through I cloud. My mail dos. The photstream stoppe working 2 weeks ago. I went in and keep checking and saving the photostream box. but then when I go to photostream it tells me I cloud is not turned on and sends me back to square one. Can anyone help. I amSo frustrated  I DO NOT like windos 8 NOT evn a little bit!

How much space do you have on your phone?  Settings>General>Usage.  If you are low on space, it will disable photostream because those photos are actually stored twice on your phone, once in your camera roll and once in your photostream.  I had the same issue and when I went through and deleted some old photos, and some other content on my phone, my photostream starting working again.

  • My photostream stopped working recently.

I have no idea why it stopped, and its only since last month I think.  Nothing on my phone was changed for it to stop, it just did.  Tried to reset icloud, turned on icloud back up (though i never needed it on), turned phone on and off, deleted old photos, and still not working.  Everything since roughly the beginning of august hasn't streamed.

Ok its working again.  I deleted and reinstalled the iCloud Control Panel, but i'm not sure why it happened.  I'm thinking maybe its because I had over 30 pictures in my camera roll?    I read somewhere that photostream only takes the first 30 from my camera roll.   i don't know.  but it is working again.

  • Why has photos and photostream stopped working since ios6?

Since iOS6 can't download or upload more than 193 photos. Also when try to move photos from photostream to album, they move across then disappear! Can't get more than 15 in an album. Worked OK before upgrade.

Go to their support sites and check for updates. Also ask questions.

  • Photostream Stopped Working

I have a 2012 MBP with all the latest updates and an iPhone 4s with latest updates. Until around one month ago everything worked fine with photostream, I took a photo on the phone and it magically appeared on the MBP in iPhoto.
Now when I take a photo on the phone, it appears on the phone's photostream but does not appear in iPhoto on the MBP. The only way to get a photo to the stream in iPhoto on the MBP is to click and share to photostream, which seems to only work sometimes, randomly.
Both devices are connected to my home wi-fi
Both are signed in with same appleID
I've disabled and re-enabled photostream on both devices
I've logged out of my appleID and back in again
Only things I know have changed are that I moved from UK to Switzerland around a month ago and I now sometimes use a proxy server to access UK based web services. Could that be affecting it - disabling the proxy doesn't seem to make it work. Country restriction on cloud services?
    Any other ideas?

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • Photostream stopped working - Vista problem?

Is Vista still supported for Photostream?  I used till recently, cannot find how to reset; it seems the Photostream website has updated.  I tried the checking and unchecking photostream box.

Thanks for the reply.  Is this a new requirement or update to iCloud?  I have been using it with my Vista for a few years.  I see though it is not updating my notes and calendar, and photos are coming in sporadically.  I have received a few since my original post, but not all.  I guess I will be shopping for a new PC or possibly a MAC.  Since I have had my iphone i have exclusively used icloud to transfer photos to my computer and don't even know how to "Sync" them another way! When it works I love it.  Thanks again.

  • Photostream automatic upload stopped working

I have an iPhone 6 and Windows 8.  I'm assuming this is a glitch with Windows 8, as I was able to automatically upload pictures to my old laptop (not Windows 8).  Anyway.... the automatic upload/photostream stopped working mid-December.  It is turned on to automatically upload!  But now I have to go in and import pictures if I want them saved to my laptop.  Any ideas on what's causing this or how to fix it?  Thanks!

In my opinion, it's a VERY DANGEROUS option to select. Bad
    things happen
and when they do, you have lost your "gold standard" copy on
    the web by
    automatically overwriting it.

  • ICloud shared photo stream stopped working for one subscriber

A shared photostream stopped working for one subscriber. Tried resending the invite several times but after the person clicks on the link, it says "stream no longer shared". Have tried alternate emails and no avail. Anyone else have this issue? I tried resending the invite to myself and to a phone number but also having the same issue. No issues uploading to the photostream or any issues for anyone else.

Reassigned email address in contacts from "home" to "iCloud" and that did the trick!

  • Photo stream stopped working after update

Installed the 6.0.1 update on my 4s and all of a sudden Photostream stopped working. It did work for two or three days after the update but then stopped. The iCloud panel on my pc is grayed out. The phone itself has everything regarding Photostream turned on. Any suggestions besides restarting Photostream and losing the photos already in there? I am running Windows 8 on the PC...(Piece of CR*P)

You have probably enabled iCloud Drive on one of your mobile devices after upgrading to iOS 8. Then "documents in the cloud" will no longer work. Unfortunately, the upgrade to iCloud Drive cannot be undone. You'll have to wait for Yosemite.
See this link: Be aware, be careful, be prepared for iCloud Drive | TUAW: Apple news, reviews and how-tos since 2004
    And this:  iCloud Drive FAQ
While you are waiting for the Yosemite release you could sync your iWork documents with Dropbox.
    As to My Photo Stream:
The new Photos.app stores the photos differently. There is no longer a Camera Roll, and My Photo Stream is no longer visible as a separate album. You will find the Photo Stream photos in the "Recently Added" album.
See this Help text on how to access the Photos in iOS 8:

Photostream is on, on my iphone4.
Icloud is installed and working. It is set to upload/download photos, everything else is off, as it has been for the last year.
I have 4.8 gigs of 5 gigs available to me in icloud.
6 days ago photostream stopped uploading pics. Since then I uninstalled and reinstalled icloud. It made no difference.
I have 1.6 gigs free on my phone.

  • HT201317 Photostream to my Windows computer has stopped working. In icloud control panel, photostream is unchecked, I check it, hit options, nothing happens. I click apply and close. Next time I  open control panel, photostream is unchecked again! What ca

Photostream to my Windows 7 computer has stopped working. When I open icloud control panel, photostream has become unchecked even though it has been previously checked. I check it again but when I click options, nothing happens. I click apply and close, but next time I open the control panel, Photostream has become unchecked again. What can I do?

    Lisaglenoak:
When I first downloaded iCloud to my PC a little while back, Photo Stream initially worked. I was able to check/uncheck both boxes available to me, as well as click the Options tab to the right of Photo Stream. I could make changes, click "Apply", and everything was fine and dandy.
Within a day, I opened the iCloud Control Panel, and despite how many times I would uncheck Bookmarks, it didn't matter. I would click "Apply", and it would automatically ask me to sign in again. When I did this, Bookmarks would be checked again. Additionally, Photo Stream was grayed out; I was unable to check the box (which was unchecked), and I was unable to go to Options.
Somehow, I managed to get my iCloud Control Panel "unstuck", and currently, it is working fine. There are 2 steps that I did to accomplish this. The 1st step listed below may be the crucial element for those whose reinstallation of the program has not succeeded, in and of itself. It is a change that I haven't come across as a possible part of a solution to this problem; I just happened to stumble upon this whilst searching my PC for possible fixes to the problem.
Step 1: Find your iCloud File Folder. (On my PC, I clicked the Start button in the lower left corner, then clicked All Programs, and finally scrolled down to where all the folders for various "things" are.) Click the Folder and a sub-list will appear, with items such as Calendar, Mail, etc. Right-Click the iCloud Program icon, and at the bottom of the list that appears, click on Properties. At the top, there are 5 tabs. Click the Compatibility tab, and you should see, at the top, the following words: "If you have problems with this program and it worked correctly on an earlier version of Windows, select the compatibility mode that matches that earlier version." Following these words is a dropbox underneath "Compatibility Mode", and for some reason - I have no idea why this is - the box was initially checked to run the program in compatibility mode for "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)". (And from what I understand, Windows XP is not a compatible Windows Edition for iCloud, so I have no idea why this box was checked.) If the box underneath "Compatibility Mode" is checked, than it is running iCloud in compatibility mode for any number of earlier Windows' Editions. Uncheck this box, click the "Apply" button, and then click "OK".
Step 2: Find your PC's Control Panel. (On my PC, I clicked the Start button in the lower left corner, and then clicked Control Panel in the list to the right.) In the Control Panel, click Programs. Under Programs and Features, Click "Uninstall a program" (and bear with me here, because you are actually not going to uninstall iCloud). Now, scroll down the list and find "iCloud". Double-click the "iCloud" icon, and a panel with 2 options should appear: "Repair" and "Remove". Check the "Repair" box, which will reinstall the same iCloud Control Panel, replacing missing or damaged files. ("Remove" will just .. well ... remove iCloud from the computer - or, if you prefer, uninstall the program.) Click Next, and the repairing process will begin and end. And that is it - you're done. Task Completed.
Well, in the end, this worked for me. Photo Stream was no longer grayed out. I could permanently uncheck Bookmarks (finally). The Options tab for Photo Stream would open. Anytime that I clicked the "Apply" button after checking/unchecking boxes, it wouldn't ask me to sign in again (only to come back to a Control Panel that looked just like it did before I made any changes to it.). And, I created a Shared Photo Stream on my phone using photos from my Camera Roll (to test the program), and the Shared Photo Stream appeared on my PC's Photo Stream in no time. Hopefully, this will work for you too (regardless of the Windows Edition you are currently using).     ~ Brian

  • TS3989 photostream exe has stopped working

I received an error message each time I startup iTunes stating that photostream.exe has stopped working.  Photos are no longer transfered to the cloud.  Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, is there a fix for this problem?

I have this problem but seems to be only with photostream because my calendar still is working. I have tried all but it still isn't working
