My pictures are getting rotated during sync

Recently, I took some on the spot pictures with my iPhone. I used image capture to sync the pictures to my MBP, and then subsequently deleted them from my camera roll on the phone. I put them all in a folder called “iPhone photos”. I sync the phone with iTunes to get those pictures, and others, back to the phone. Now I have a nice neat place for all of the pictures I’ve taken with the phone that is both on the phone and on the Mac. The only problem is that when I view the pictures on the phone they are rotated an extra 90 degrees. Any idea on why this is? Am I going to have to open all of those pictures in Photoshop and get them rotated back to normalcy? Lol.
One thing I noticed is that it only does this rotation 90 degrees counter clockwise, and only to the photos that I have taken while the iPhone was vertical (as in the normal orientation on the phone). Totally annoying!

If the photos displayed on your computer are rotated, then yes, you will have to use an image-editing application to rotate them back to normal. This happens as a result of the image capture software used, and the way that software interprets the image being imported.
Personally when I use iPhoto, my Camera Roll photos are not rotated erroneously.

Queues are configured on each server.
Overall process flow is (JMS Queue (configrued in soa_server1) --> BPEL --> mediator -->JMS (configrued in osb_server1) --> proxyService --> Target System.
When there is a need to bounce the server (start / stop) ; and to make sure messages are not lost during server bounce.
we are following the below procedure for server start
1) pause soa_server1 queues then bounce soa_server1
2) pause soa_server2 queues then bounce soa_server2
3) pause soa_server3 queues then bounce soa_server3
We are observing there is a message lost after server bounce...

Are you using XA connection factory? If no then this may cause message loss. It is also considered a best practice to configure error queue for JMS queues to avoid message loss (as a precautionary measure).
How did you find that messages are getting lost?

My Pictures are getting SMALLER!!!!

I recently switched from the PC world to the Mac world. I like everything about it but lately my pictures seem to be shrinking. It's not all of them only random pictures, some of them are scans so they should be large and clear. When I first imported them everything was great, but over time they are getting smaller and smaller, and the image quality is very poor. I haven't switched anything in the settings either. Any ideas?

Where are you checking on the size, in iPhoto or in the Finder? Those sound like thumbnail sized files, especially the 220 x 110. You're saying you examine a file one day and it's at one size and then examine it at another time, not having done anything with the file, editing, etc., and it's smaller in pixel dimensions. Is that right? If you're looking at the files in a folder titled Data that resides in the iPhoto Library folder then you're looking at the thumbnail files that iPhoto creates.

Pictures are getting cut off

I made a movie in iMovie and went to burn it on iDVD. When I played in on a dvd player, some of the pictures were cut off? But when I play the movie on my Mac the pictures are fine. HELP!

Not all Pictures are getting sync

I have the New iPad and Windows 7 with the latest version of iTunes. I have a folders with many pictures in them. I am trying to sync these pictures to the iPAd. I select the folders I want and the picture start to sync but not all the picture copy over to the ipad I have cleared the itune photo cash folder. Please help I bought this so I could copy my pictures to it and it is not working right. Please help.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right-click context menu while saving an image.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

Pictures are not transferring when sync

My photos are not tranferring to iphoto when I sync.

That is because they are not supposed to do so.
There is no automatic import of pictures from iPhone to computer.

How to keep videos on iPod so they don't get deleted during sync?

I have about 40GB of videos that I bought from iTunes. I bought them on my Mac Mini and used up most of my memory on it. So I deleted some of these videos from my computer and put them on backup DVD's to clear up some space on my computer.
When I sync my iPod when I get new videos, I get a message saying that some of the videos on my iPod are not on my computer and if I would like to transfer them back on. I click no, because they would not all fit.
So then it transfers all the videos present on my computers and replaces the ones I had before, since they are no longer on it. All the time I sync my iPod completely, I have to put those replaced videos (fortunately saved on DVD's) them back on manually.
It's really annoying... Is there a way to tell my iPod not to touch certain videos and leave them on my iPod? So that they don't get replaced all the time?
Or does anyone have any suggestions?

First suggestion is to go out and get an external hard drive to give you a place to store ALL your stuff in one place. Hard drives are cheap. Last night I was at Costco and they had a Triple Interface (eSATA, USB2, and Firewire 400) Seagate 750GB drive (w/5-yr warranty) for $200. Online I see 500GB drives for $130 and under. And you can get as high as 360GB for under $100 these days. So get one!
Anyway, one thing you can do is to switch your iPod from auto update to MANUAL update. Now iTunes will not remove anything. However it also won't do anything else either. You have to drag and drop stuff from the library into your iPod to add them and select them on the iPod and hit Delete to remove them. Also playcounts, ratings, etc. do not sync back to iTunes in manual mode.
My suggestion is short term switch to manual sync, then order or pick up locally an external drive. Then get all your stuff back onto your library when you have the bigger disk. Once put together again, change the iPod back to auto sync.

Files that "remember playback position" are not updating during sync

I listen to long spoken word MP3 files that are not podcasts. I have the "remember playback position" option checked on these files. I will add it to my library, sync it to my 2nd gen iPod shuffle, then go play it. The shuffle will remember the playback position fine. When I plug it into the computer again, iTunes used to update the files on my computer with the new playback position from the shuffle. This is not the case anymore. The local files will stay at the spot where they were at the original sync (0:00 in most cases). The files on the shuffle will then go back to 0:00 as well. This is very annoying. Any ideas?
P.S. I'm using the newest Shuffle that was released along with the 4th gen Nano (mine is the 2GB blue).
I know this is supposed to work because I had a silver 1GB shuffle in 2007 that worked fine.

ROFL I've named this thread "Shuffle Woes" in my favorites list. I seem to have fixed this strange and VERY elusive problem for now.
I discovered a duplicate music file that had the same metadata as another music file. The only difference between the two files was the name of the physical file on the hard disk AKA the file name. The metadata (tags) were exactly the same. Now that I've deleted one of the two files everything seems to magically work again. Don't ask me!
If the problem resurfaces again I'll be back. No more shuffle woes!

IPhone 6 getting hot during sync

I have a shiny new 6+. While syncing for the first time I noticed it got quit warm. Googling around, there seems to be chatter about this. Mostly just talking about it. Any thoughts by users of this forum?

That is what I suspected. It cooled down right away. A lot of hand wringers on the other web sites thinking their phones were defective. Folks forget any smart phone is a highly integrated computer that happens to have a phone built in. So the next time I have to restore the phone I'll expect it to get warm.

How are contacts handeled during sync?

I currently sync my iPhone with my computer and it uses my outlook contacts to populate the iPhone's contact list.
If I was to add a contact to my iPhone and then plug it into my computer, would that contact be transferred into outlook, would it be removed or would I be prompted asking me what I want to do?

If you add a contact on your iPhone it will add it to Outlook when you sync
When you add a contact to Outlook it will add it to the iPhone
The same when you just modify a cintact the change will be applied both places
You will be prompted if you want the changes to apply

My N90 camera pictures are getting blurred

I have been using my Nokia N90 phone for sometime now, but now the pictures I take from the camera is blurred it's nothing to do with the settings because I tried all of them. How should I fix the problem??

Is the plastic film on the lense still there ? Initially the film is new so the pics may be fine but over a period of time the plastic film grows old and dirty and blurr the pics.. so IF its still there remove it..

PICTURES ARE ROTATED WHEN i DOWNLOAD THEM TO MY pc

This just started happening. When I download pictures from my Iphone 5 to my Dell PC desktop, the pictures are all rotated 90 degrees. This never happened in the past. How do I fix this?

If this happens on Windows systems it is because the Windows Photo Viewer and Live Photo Gallery may ignore the EXIF orientation of the photos. This data tells the viewer which way is up.

You can also avoid this problem by taking photos in landscape mode with the iPhone/iPad held with the Home button to the right. In portrait mode keep the Home button down.

Auto Lock still enabling during sync

I have disabled the auto lock to never come on. I was initially getting errors during syncing about the drive not being able to be written to after a few songs. I adjusted all my power settings on the USB hubs on my pc and in the bios, to make sure they weren't auto disabling to save power.
Now I can get much more songs on it before the error, and every time the error occurs through iTunes, my device shows that it's locked again.
Like I said, I'm disabled this feature, changing the setting to "Never". I have powered down device and disconnected from PC, booting device back up and reconnecting, attempting sync again, and after many successful track transfers, it locks itself.

You can re-download purchased apps for free. Click on buy, click yes to I want to purchase, another popup will appear, you have already purchased, do you want to re-download, click yes.
