My pictures disappeared when I did the latest 4G upgrade. Where did they go?
I just did the latest 4G upgrade on my phone and all of my pictures disappeared. How do I get them back??
try downloading another free app that you've never purchased.. Seems like a weird idea, but sometimes this actually does the trick.

Pictures disappear when placed on the map
Anyone else put photos on the map and then have them disappear? Then when you go to the project they were in they are gone from there as well. The numbers on the right side of the project say they are there but any view you use is blank. If you use a smart album they show up but that is the only way I have been able to view what I put on the map. Even the pin disappeared. It happened twice to me now. Two projects missing.
I thought I was going crazy, could not figure out where my test project went. After rebooting, rebuilding database and permissions I finally came to the same conclusion as you.
It had something to do with "places". After importing a track and trying to place my photos on said track all photos are lost from places as well as the main project they where in.
Like you I can see that they are counted under projects but the images are gone and no matter what I try I can't get them back. -
When I did the latest update, my phone was wiped out completely. My laptop that I had everything on, crashed. I have a new laptop, tried to update on it and of course I couldn't without deauthorizing my account then reauthorizing. I need help! I want my ringtones and picturesd back, and can't get them. Does anyone know how to do this given my situation?

Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID? -
How can I change my icloud account information on my iphone 4S? When I did the latest update my icloud account reverted to the original ID I had when setting up my account. How can I change my apple ID when I am in setting > iCloud > account > Apple ID? Again my ID went to original ID and I do not know how to update it to my new one.
Thanks!If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Deleting the account will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. This will not effect other devices still using the account. Also, you can continue to share your ID for the iTunes and App stores even though you will have a different ID for iCloud. They do not need to be the same.
To begin, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, if you have any data in either iCloud account that you no longer want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it. -
My iMessage stopped working when I did the latest update on my phone. I have literally tried everything to reset it. I am currently not in the US, but my iMessage has always worked when I was in wifi and my phone is still activated. I have tried to reset my network settings, my location, and even the reset all settings. When I click on my settings and iMessage it says that it is still waiting for activation... and my phone number is grayed out. I am able to recieve an iMessage to my email and that could work for right now but i'm not sure how to start a conversation the defaults to being sent from my email and not my cell phone number. please help!

Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.

When I print a 4x6 color picture using an iMac with the latest operating system using a Canon MX892 printer, faint black lines appear every 3/16 of an inch. When I print the same picture using iPhoto there is no problem. Any suggestions?
What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down? -
When you downloaded the latest version of Firefox on July 2/11 I lost all my picture files
When you downloaded the latest version of Firefox on the 2nd of July all my pictures were wiped out even my desktop wallpaper which was one of my pictures. I have looked in all the places I could think of but haven't been able to find them. To try and find them I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but still none of my pictures have been found. They were in my Windows live photo gallery and some in Documents & Pictures.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

I have my ipad notes linked to gmail and suddenly disappeared when I put the sim card into a new iphone, the funny thing is that almost all disappeared except 4 and with different dates up to two years. Why did this happen? No way to recover them?

Working alternating with iPhoto and FCE tgrying to import pictures from iPhoto into FCE suddenly all my 22300 pictures disappeared leaving empty frames. Does somebody know where the pictures could have gone and how can I get them back into iPhoto? Lothar
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

No something odd has happened over night, the battery went flat last night, so i put it on the charger for 12 hours. Then when i took it off this morning for 30 minutes the battery went flat again.. -

If you restore it in iTunes it will be updated to the current release, 4.3.1. There are ways around this; Google is your friend. -
