My pictures have dissapeared

Using Mac since 1985. Using iPhoto since its launch. Never happened before the following:
my events and albums without notice have dissapeared from iPhoto.
iPhoto Library occupies 107 GB
My AirMac has 60 GB+ of memory still available.
Went to "Import" and chose "Fototeca" from my HD.
When cliking on "accept" a message appears informing that I have not enough memory to import the images.
If iPhoto Library is intact in the HD (images folder)... why I cannot retrieve all its information and just visualize the pictures?
Also tried "hidden pictures" from iPhoto menu. A message appears informing that iPhoto is retrieving data but nothing happens...
Any idea of what might be happening?

what version of iPHoto ? Of the OS? (Profile say s10.7 - is that correct?) What has recently changed?
And note that you never import pone iPhoto library into another iPhoto library
You can try Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

hey every one. this is my first Mac and im not too good at using it to start with.
but it seems that my files, mainly pictures and music files, have dissapeared. also my itunes libary went, and when i go to click on the libary file, it makes a new one called "damaged 1" 2.. 3.. and so on.
its pretty annoying when i dont know how to fix these computers, and when all your music from years of collecting it has gone..
so if any one had any ideas, i would be really greatful, as im so lost and im missing listening to my music.. justgot a new iopd.. and cant use it! doh!

Telephone numbers have dissapeared after loading ios5

My numbers have dissapeared since loading ios5 I cannot see my numbers, but if I load a friends number their picture is displayed, so that tells me they are hidden somewhere? can anyone help please??

Are you using iCloud as well as manually synchronizing via iTunes?
And, do you have backup?

I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?

There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.

My documents and pictures have been erased from one day to the next

I've closed my macbook pro last thursday without shutting down, the next day when opening again all my documents and pictures have been erased from my files. I cannot find them anywhere, and they are also not in the recycle bin. Has anybody else had this problem recently and does anybody know how I can recover my files? All my pictures from my little son birth from last year until now are gone!

I tried that to be honest. The best thing is, the albums I want to delete aren't even on my iMac!!!!! So not even there to deselect?? Not a clue?

Try restoring from the backup created at the beginning of the sync process:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

All the pictures in your camera roll will be backed up in iTunes or iCloud (depending on whether you have iCloud backup enabled on your iPhone) every time a backup is performed. The other photos stored on your iPhone (i.e. the ones you didn't shoot using the iPhone itself) will NOT be backed up.
Nevertheless, it can't hurt to import them into iPhoto or Aperture (or whatever you're using) as roaminggnome suggested.

Large number of pictures have disappeared after backing up my iPhone 5s

I used a new iCloud Back Up (Which I have created today) on my new iPhone 5s in order to setup it! everything went good, apps, contacts.. everything. But a large number of pictures have not been backed up I don't know, I can tell you that the last pictures on my iPhone now is actually from June, 14 I really need to get my photos back, please help me !!

Events over a year ago have dissapeared from my iPod

"Do not sync events older than 30 days" is NOT checked.
I just doscovered that items over a year old have dissapeared from my iPod touch.
They are on iCal on my MacBook Pro.

You mean you have an appointment at an Apple store? If so, you don't need anything but the phone.

Only some pictures have preview images in 'Years' view

Has anyone else encountered a problem where many pictures have a preview image, but no matter how long you leave Photos running, some pictures' preview image is just a grey square? Is there any way to manually make Photos go through and build preview images for every photo?

Try a restart. If the problem is the same, try deleting the com.apple.finder.plist.
Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command
and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Relaunch Finder (command - option - esc) and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Why do some of my pictures have this weird color banding?

This has only happened when I try to edit pictures in Lightroom. I have never had problems before, just editing in Photoshop cs6. These pictures have been shot on a Nikon D5200 as raw files (.nef).
Another weird thing is when I view them in the window explorer, they look fine. Then a second later they are all screwed up.

Your second and third screen caps are of Picasa, not the MS viewer, which is initially showing the jpg embedded by the camera in the NEF and only afterwards trying to create a display from the corrupted Raw data. It not infrequently happens that when the Raw is corrupted the jpg remains ok. If the image is important, you can salvage something with Instant JPEG from Raw

My Time Machine now shows the earliest available Back-up to be after the Migration Date.   My iPhoto pictures seem to have either been lost in the migration process or are locked in my Time Machine prior to the earliest back-up date now accessible.
Any advice on recovering my old iPhoto pictures would be greatly appreciated.

First go to iPhoto Preferences, look in both General and Advanced tabs to make sure that things are set to import from camera into iPhoto.
Then if that doesn't help, connect the camera and open Image Capture in your Applications > Utilities folder and see if you can use Image Capture to reset the import path from the camera to iPhoto.
