Sorry to disapoint (get your head out of the gutter!).
I just noticed that one of my images got a Kudos. It is my first for a picture. So organizing images inot albumns actually paid off!

Just a guess, but easy enough to try is turning off thumbnail caching:

If you have a large number of pictures added since your last visit to the 'Pictures' folder in Windows Explorer it will try to create thumbnail images for all of them, including the LR preview files. If you are running on an older (i.e. slow) system it could take a long time to build them.
I also suggest changing your default folder view setting for 'All Folders' to 'Details:'

Pictures not loading can anyone help ??

I'm working on my first serious pages document, but keep loosing a number of pictures in the document. They show up as gray sizeable shape with question mark and when saving, I get warning that -...list...- pictures could not be loaded with a button 'continue'.
The document is only 20 pages long and I understand that one might create 400 pages long docs
After splitting the document, the problem persists also in document of 6 pages, with different pictures.
Can anyone please help??

All pics I use are saved in .jpg in iPhoto and they are all from the same camera and photo-session and are directly dropped in pages from iPhoto.
All other pics in the document are OK, but some of them 'get lost' somewhere along the process.
When dropped, they are OK, but after some time, or after a save command in pages, do not show up anymore (question mark for size + location).

Does that mean, you are running iPhoto 9.6 on MacOS X 10.10.1 Yosemite? Or are you using an older MacOS X? "New" iPhoto is relative and depends on your system.

Does "shut down" mean it crashes? Then post please the error log from the error panel here - copy and paste the report into your next answer (the first 50 lines should suffice)
Where is your iPhoto Library (Mediathek) stored? Have you moved it to an external drive, or is it still in your Pictures folder (the order "Bilder")?

Photos used in iWeb to publish a Photopage, not in iPhoto anymore

I published a photopage using iWeb. The photos were in an album in iPhoto. The page published fine but now the pictures are not in iPhoto anymore. There are empty frames where the picture used to be. Does anyone know where they are and if I can get them back to iPhoto.

I am talking about navigating to ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library in your Users folder.
When you navigate to the iPhoto Library folder>Originals> do you see the roll names and the images inside them that you used for the iWeb photo page?
Check out the screenshot then get back if you find the images there.

Iphoto is not showing faces anymore.

Hello everyone.
For some reason, my Iphoto is not showing faces anymore. All faces I've cataloged are still there, but it shows only the names. And there are many more others to identify, but It's impossible, because the menu shows only black thumbnails.
All the other features of the app are working fine and all my pictures are shown on the other menus, like "events" or "albuns" for example.
What can I do to solve this problem?
I have already updated to Iphoto 11, my OS is Mountain Lion (last update 10.8.2).

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #2 to rebuild the thumbnails. It may several attempts.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

How do I just remove the current update to 3.6.12 and go back to an earlier version as I can not take the continual freeze ups ever few mins.? If this continues I will remove Firefox totally and switch to another browser I can not take this anymore.

I can NOT take the continual freeze ups of my entire browser even worse when updating a page let alone just opening email. I closed the browser and have had to use even just microsoft or Google since this Firefox has gotten so horrible...
I clear my history and my cache so many times a day I can not keep track anymore and that is insane to have to do it as many times as I am even worse that it does not help in the least!
I have used Firefox for years now but if I have to remove it and switch to a different one by the days end I will and I will post in Facebook to all my friends who I had switch to Firefox what and why though some have already just switched to other browsers.

First, that cannot be an iBook G4 as that machine cannot run Snow Leopard let alone Mountain Lion. To run Snow Leopard it has to be an Intel processor, not a G4. What does it show as the Model Identifier in About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Model Identifier?
Second, if you have erased the hard drive there should not be remnants of any prior content. Even though Disk Warrior is saying nothing is wrong with the hard drive, it sounds as though there are problems. You may want to consider simply replacing the hard drive so there are no questions about faults. A good source is OWC, http://www.macsales.com where they also have on-line videos showing how to do the replacement.
Third, you could also try again to restart using the Snow Leopard DVD/CD and use Disk Utility on that install disk to erase again, and do it a couple times, then try to install. If it continues to refuse, then it sounds as though there is a fault with the hard drive.

from the information you provided i can't tell if it is a hardware problem or a software problem. I do have an idea though, try to press your home button and lock button at the same time.

Pictures not showing up, when uploaded?

Hey I have a website www.anchorstudios.ca. Anyways I have been using it for quite awhile for our business. Lately we have had problems with certain pages in our websites. For whatever reason instead of a picture there would be a question mark there. Anyways when I go back into Iweb it looks normal. I try uploading again, and it is still not there. I have tried switching pictures, which either made that picture not show up, or it made different pictures not work. Sometimes there are also problems with the buttons. I also tried deleting the whole page and making a different one? Anybody who has had problems and any success getting rid of this please let me know. Here is the page we have the most problems with:

Darryl ~ If you haven't already done so recently, in iWeb choose +File > Publish All to .Mac+ and then, in a browser, view those pages which previously had photos missing.
If that didn't help, it may be a system problem...
Quit iWeb and in +Applications > Utilities >+ double-click on +Disk Utility+. In the column on the left, click on +Macintosh HD+. Click on the +First Aid+ tab then on +Repair Disk Permissions+. When that has finished just note whether or not many permissions were reported & repaired. Now restart iWeb and choose +File > Publish All to .Mac+. Then, in a browser, view those pages which previously had photos missing.
If that didn't help, quit iWeb and in +Library > Preferences+ look for a file called either:
com.apple.iWeb.preferences.plist
or:
com.apple.iWeb.plist
Drag that file to the Trash. Restart iWeb (it will automatically create a "clean" plist file) and choose +File > Publish All to .Mac+. Then, in a browser, view those pages which previously had photos missing.

Pictures not showing in photo app after syncing.

I synced my N8 with windows media player after the anna update but couldn't see any pictures in the photo app. Pictures are already on the device inside "pictures" (not "images") folder in E: drive. After playing a bit, i figured out that photos app only read the pictures inside "images" folder of E: drive. Is there any possible way to make photo app read files in the "pictures" folder or make Windows Media Player sync with the "images" folder instead of "pictures" folder. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I guess you just have to move them every time from Pictures folder to Images you sync with windows media and I prefer to start using Ovi Suite to sync
to move a file you should mark it first then click Options - Organize - Move to - choose whatever folder you want
