My PIN is captured by a cell company

Hello.
My problem is that my PIN is "tied" to the wrong company. That's what I was told, anyway.
I bought my Blackberry Curve 8310 on E-bay last year. It was sent to me from the US to Mexico. I now have it and have used it for several months with a mexican company called Telcel. BUT I KEEP RECEIVING THE PREVIOUS OWNER'S E-MAILS!
So I call Telcel and request help in changing that e-mail account to my own e-mail account.They tell me I cannot do that because my PIN is "tied" to a US company called T-MOBILE. They told me I need to contact T-Mobile and request that they let go of my PIN.
So I call T-Mobile and request help in the liberation of my PIN. They say they can't do anything for me if I don't have an account with them, which I don't. Their first suggestion was: Contact Telcel. I told them Telcel had already said they couldn't help. Their second suggestion was: Call Blackberry (RIM). The RIM phone number I dialled pretty much said I need to be a member or to pay just to ask a question or to ask for help, and that even then, they didn't guaranteed a solution.
So here I am, posting here in desperation. Does anyone know where do I have to write, call or go to in order to have my PIN "freed" by T-Mobile?
Thanks a lot.Hector.

Hi, I found this whilst searching the net this may be of help to you.
How To Unlock Your BlackBerry For Free
1. Call your carrier, ask for the MEP code.
2. Give them your IMEI number.
3. To get your IMEI number, type this on your phone, *#06#, and it should pop up.
4. Once you get your MEP code, turn off your wireless radio on your phone.
5. Go to SETTING or OPTIONS.
6. Then go to ADVANCE OPTIONS.
7. Then go to Sim Card
8. Type “MEPD” on your phone.
9. You should see “Network as Active”
10. Hold SHIFT + type “MEPE” or “MEP2″
11. Now type the MEP code the carrier gave you

  • Regarding iPhone link up with Mac book, am i charged by my cell company even if i am on wifi?

    Hi there!
    Regarding iPhone link up with Mac book, am i charged by my cell company even if i am on wifi?
    I ask because i travel to europe often, and need to get a phone there.. this would save me a whole lot of money and hastle
    Thank you

    Streaming will be faster from the new iMac.  However it is still a good idea to keep the bulk of your material, 400 GB is a lot of content, on external drives.  That serves to protect the material if an internal drive fails, and also keeps the internal drive from getting too loaded down.  You can increase speed by simply moving content you want to use in the short term to the iMac SSD where it will be at its fastest speed, and then take it off when no longer needed there.
    That gives the speed and security for your material.

  • The verizon company is the worst ever!!!!!!

    I am totally at my wits end with this whole verizon sham.  I was previously with another cell company that I never, ever had any problems with.  However, due to family circumstances I needed to add a phone on my account for one of my children and, low and behold, verizon was the only one that approved me for a family plan without an outrageous per-phone deposit.  So, happy for that, I signed my daughter and I with a verizon family shared everything plan. I got two new phones for basically free,  I got the basic service on each phone, and then the shared data plan, and insurance, and we were on our way -- or so I thought!
    Well, from the very first month -- actually about two-and-a-half weeks -- there has been nothing but problems and expensive problems with the so-called business.  To start - one adult and one child sharing a family plan -- Verizon sends two bills looking to me to dupicates -- I pay one of them and discard the other -- so service gets interrupted.  I call customer service -- oops, looks like somebody (on their end) set up the account wrong and has my phones being billed separately. Next - somehow I am being charged $5.99 (per month) for some "extra" verizon navigation service that I did not ask for, did not need, and certainly did not want for an extra fee. I call to check on this and have this fixed -- another verizon oops.  After just the first month, verizon had $114 in account adjustments they had to make because of their stupid (or greedy) so-called mistakes.
    However, with just our second month coming up there is already problems -- somehow two weeks into the cycle, the data plan I chose of 4GB of this supposed 4G LTE was already being exceeded -- I call up yet again to see what the hell is up and once again review all the billing problems -- oh, somehow our data plan was only set a 2GB and we were over by way less than a GB (hence my 4GB choice would have been plenty). So for a nominal fee of $10 they will bump my data plan to 4GB instead of charging me the $15 per GB overage fee.  Oh, joy! It was their mistake in the first place. So the bill comes due -- I pay it, all is good. NOT!  One week later this money sucking company call verizon somehow and for some reason decides to reverse and reject my payment -- blammo, phones shut off again -- I call up to ask what's up -- oops, my payment was some $50 short -- I pay that -- they turn the phones back on -- we review everything again, and customer service and I agree all things are good -- and bam, the very next day phones are off again.
    My point with this is that every time they interrupt service, their fault or mine, there is an additional $15 per phone charge -- I had this charge three times in only our second month of "service" -- that is an additional $90 in fees right there.  When I signed up, I was told that my monthly bill would be in the area of $190 TOTAL (for both phones), excluding the first month, of course, because we all have learned that the first month includes all kinds of bogus charges, fees, and tips!  So, then, why have my bills been no less that $340 every **** month.  I had spent more time on my lovely new phone with verizon customer service reps than any other person at all.  Every month for three months there was discussions about the plan, the usage, the fees -- blah, blah, blah --
    Well, what other fitting thing could then happen but low and behold some low-life scum steals my phone and immediately runs my data plan over 8GB somehow (i can't even fathom how). So I call verizon to tell them and file a claim on the insurance that I was paying for (the total replacement premium)  only to find out that -- oops, I didn't  have insurance on the phone since the first month's adjustments. So I interrupted my service (and haven't been able to get into "myVerizon" online since that day. I told my daughter she wouldn't be having her phone anymore -- when they shut it off, I am done. I have not had a phone since that point since I definitely cannot afford the $599 cost of another phone.  I am on a fixed income and have been concerned about an out-of-control bill since day one. So, verizon this is my words to you:
    SINCE I NO LONGER HAVE A PHONE TO TELL YOU AGAIN FORGET IT, CANCEL IT, I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR CROOKED, RIP-OFF COMPANY, AND I CANNOT GET ON LINE TO TELL YOU IT THROUGH "MYVERIZON" (that title being a total joke to begin with!), IT APPEARS THAT PERHAPS THIS IS THE ONLY FORUM I MIGHT REACH SOMEBODY BY ---------- CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. QUIT CONTINUING TO BILL ME FOR THE SERVICE ON A PHONE THAT I NO LONGER HAVE AND THE OTHER SHUT OFF BY YOU. QUIT E-MAILING ME THAT MY BILL IS READY FOR VIEWING AND PAYING ON-LINE AT "MYVERIZON blah, blah, ********" BECAUSE YOU WON'T LET ME ON TO LOOK AT MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE I NO LONGER HAVE AN "active" VERIZON PHONE NUMBER (praise the Lord for that!). AND FURTHERMORE, TAKE YOUR $1,463 OR SOME RIDICULOUS CURRENT BILL AND SHOVE IT STRAIGHT UP THE TAILPIPE OF EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN CHARGE OF RUNNING YOUR LOUSY, GOOD-FOR-NOTHING, RIP OFF, SO-CALLED BUSINESS.
    You should all be sued out the *** for the way you are robbing people.  It is straight criminal and if the average Joe Q. Citizen pulled the same **** they would be jailed and have their freedom stripped from them.  However, because you hide under some *********** fine print and claim to be a business, you steal, lie, cheat, and swindle from people every single hour of every single day and you rob people of their freedoms (from money, services, peace of mind, choices, etc.) and somehow get away with it without losing anything -- but customers, and you don't deserve them anyway.  So you feel free to just keep on charging me for whatever you are going to charge me for.  I will not give verizon another dime my money from my fixed income. I will not.  You have lied, cheated, defrauded and just plain been a horrible business and I will tell anyone and everyone I come in contact that to stay away from verizon -- don't go to them and if you are with them, get out -- they will take everything from you and somehow make it your fault!
    BOYCOTT VERIZON -- START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM.  LET'S STAND UP FOR THE CITIZENS AND BLOW THIS BOGUS MONEY-HUNGRY POOR EXCUSE OF A COMPANY OUT OF THE SKY AND FORCE THEM OUT OF BUSINESS -- or start doing business in a neighborly fashion.

    Just from this paragraph, it puts your whole story in question. You make it sound as if Verizon is charging you something EXTRA to fix one of their mistakes. The 4GB plan IS $10 more expensive than the 2GB plan. The $10 "nominal fee" is just the price difference between the 2 plans. This is not just some charge to fix a Verizon mistake. If you want the larger plan, you must pay the larger fee.
    You are either not explaining your situation correctly, you are leaving out some "other" information which would fully explain the situation OR you are purposely trying to make Verizon look bad for something they are not actually doing. You say Verizon "decides to reverse and reject" your payment, but then go on to say you shorted your payment. You then go on to say you then paid the part your shorted. So did you just pay the part you shorted, or did you then pay the ENTIRE amount? If you then only paid the part you shorted, I guess Verizon DID NOT "decide to reverse and reject" your payment. They accepted your previous payment and shut off your phones because you did not make the full payment. This is YOUR mistake, NOT VERIZON'S mistake. Even if you did pay the full amount again at that point including the part you had originally shorted from the 1st payment, it is still YOUR mistake.
    I find it hard to believe you did not have these kinds of problems with your other provider since they were forcing a CURRENT customer to pay an "outrageous per-phone deposit" in order to add 1 line to your account. It appears as if Verizon should have done the same.
    Of course, you do have the option of paying or not paying your current bill. However, it is YOUR responsibility to do so and it will only get larger if you do not contact Verizon CS by calling them(or going into a Verizon store) and cancelling your service EVEN if you do not have an active phone on one of your lines and your service is cut off for failure to pay. When you cancel your service, you will ALSO have 2 ETF's added to your already large bill.
    Good luck with your situation, it appears as if you will need it.

  • Cross company code use of equipments

    Hello gurus,
    in our system we have equipment masters for all our machines relevant for maintenance. Up to now, all maintenance operations for the equipments have been documented in PM-notifications and orders.
    Now, our company incorporated a subsidiary company to outsource all the maintenance work.
    This new company has its own company code in our SAP system (lets say 2000) and will act as a contractor for the mother company (company code 1000). Now, we would like to use our existing equipments to create PM- or Customer service orders in company code 2000.
    I have heard rumours that this can be done, but up to now, nobody could explain to me how. If there is no way to do this we would have to create copies for our equipments in company code 2000 and figure out how to document the maintenance in company code 1000.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Alicia

    hi
    From my knowledge , you can create the order in different planning plant ,but every time you have specify the planning plant while creating the order. in this way the cost will be captured at the 2000 company code.

    also you can create separate work center for that plant do the billing according to the job performed

    My goggle maps file seems fine until you zoom in. There is another company named Advanced Agricultural "pinned" in our spot. The company is no longer here. How do I get this corrected?

    Hi Kelly,
    It looks like you need to submit a correction to Google to get this changed. Please check this Google article that talks about how this can be done - Report a problem or fix the map - Google Maps Help

  • FMLE encoding stopped: Problem with capture device. Incorrect samples given by the device.

    Hi Support,
    I am trying to use FMLE to encode and stream video from an Axis P1346 IP camera, via Axis' Streaming Assistant software, to a Wowza server.
    Everyting appears to be working perfectly and the encoding and resultant stream quality is excellent. Sometimes after a few hours and sometimes after just a few minutes, the encoding will stop with the following error:
    Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Session Stopped
    Tue Mar 26 2013 11:47:18 : Problem with capture device. Incorrect samples given by the device. Stopping encoding session.
    I have attached a recent log of a session that only lasted a few minutes - do you have any ideas on how to resolve this instability?

  • Source Synchronous Input: Capture clock/Launch Clock analysis

    Hi, I have a Source Synchronous LVDS DDR input into a Kintex7, the launching clock is edge-aligned to the data and capture clock should capture on opposite edge (a launch on the rising edge should be captured by the falling edge). I have designed it to work at 100Mhz by compensating the clock insertion delay with a PLL (to save the MMCM for other purposes) using BUFH (the timing is not so tight to use BUFIO/BUFR). The PLL also centers the opposing edge on the data window by shifting -90°. Now the launching clock waveform is {5.0 0.0}, and the waveform generated by the PLL is {2.5 7.5}, this is reported correctly by Vivado. But when vivado analyses the setup path (I have set the proper set_input_delays) the following happens:
    -Launching clock rising edge is correctly at 5.0ns at the input data PIN.
    -Capture clock falling edge is INCORRECTLY 7.5ns AT THE CLOCK PIN.
    What I don't get is: why Vivado, that recognizes that the capture clock is a generated clock by the PLL, uses the {2.5 7.5} waveform AT THE CLOCK PIN, and not at the ouptut of the PLL BUFH. I mean the falling edge of the capture clock should be 7.5ns at the output of the BUFH, not at the input to the FPGA (I see that the PLL correctly shifts this 7.5ns to be 5ns at the BUFH, but this is not what actually happens).
    Doing the calculations manually the interface meets setup/hold with ease. I just want Vivado to make the proper analysis.

    I am not 100% certain I followed all your logic, but I think the issue is that you aren't following how clocks are treated in SDC/XDC.
    In Vivado/SDC/XDC, there are two separate concepts - clock phase, and clock propagation. For calculating how the launch/capture edge relationship is done, it is done based purely on phase - propagation does not factor in to it. Regardless of how they are generated, you have two clocks
      - the primary clock (generated by the create_clock command), which has a waveform of {0.0 5.0} (I am not sure why you say the opposite - {5.0 0} is not a meaningful representation in XDC)
      - the automatcially generated clock at the output of the PLL, which has edges at {2.5 7.5}. Its a little irrelevent how you defined it (with a +90 or -90 degree shift since the interface is DDR) - for the sake of argument, I will say its +90 degrees.
    First, recognize that when you define a DDR input and use an IDDR to capture it, you are defining four static timing paths - you have two startpoints, one from your set_input_delay and one from your set_input_delay -clock_fall -add_delay. You also have two endpoints, one from the rising edge clock at the IDDR and one at the falling edge of the IDDR. This generates 4 paths
      a) rising input -> falling IDDR
      b) falling input -> rising IDDR
      c) rising input -> rising IDDR
      d) falling input -> falling IDDR
    All four paths exist, and all are timed.
    Now you need to understand the rules that Vivado uses to determine launch and capture edges. For this system, it is easy - the capture edge is always the edge of the capture clock that is the earliest that follows the launch edge. So in this case (assuming launching is {0 5.0} and capture is {2.5 7.5} will be
      a) rise at 0 -> fall at 7.5
      b) fall at 5 -> to rise at 12.5
      c) rise at 0 -> rise at 2.5 (this is the most critical one, so a) is irrelevent)
      d) fall at 5 -> fall at 7.5 (this is the most critical one, so b) is irrelevent)
    Now that it has determined the launch and capture edges for all the paths, it starts the propagation at the primary clocks. For your set_input_delay these are the clock pin. For the capture IDDR, the edge starts at the primary clock, propagates through the PLL (which adjusts it for clock propagation but not for the phase shift), and ultimately to the IDDR clock.
    Now, in a real system this is what is going to happen - I am not sure why you think this is incorrect. If, however, there is some reason to believe that c and d are false paths, then you have to declare them as such (which will then leave a and b as the ones that remain). To do this, you would work with a virtual clock - you would define TWO clocks - the primary clock to the clock pin, and an idential virtual clock for your set_input_delays
    # Create the real and virtual clock
    create_clock -period 10 -name real_clk [get_ports clk_pin]
    create_clock -period 10 -name virt_clk
    # Define the input delay with respect to both edges of the virtual clock
    set_input_delay <delay> -clock virt_clk [get_ports data_pin]
    set_input_delay <delay> -clock virt_clk [get_ports data_pin] -clock_fall -add_delay
    # Disable the rising to falling and falling to rising paths
    set_false_path -rise_from [get_clocks real_clk] -fall_to [get_clocks virt_clk]
    set_false_path -fall_from [get_clocks real_clk] -rise_to [get_clocks virt_clk]
    Even though "real_clk" and "virt_clk" are different clocks all clocks in Vivado are related by default, so the fact that they have the same period and starting phase (which defaults to {0 5.0}) then they are effectively the same clock.
    The reason for using the virtual clock is to make sure that if there is a rising to falling edge path inside the FPGA, you don't accidentally declare it false too - and these will happen between the IDDR and fabric logic (if it is in OPPOSITE_EDGE mode).
    I hope this is clear... It can be a bit confusing, but it does make sense.

  • Multimedia Messaging

    I use a Samsung Brightside and I have this problem for a while already. When I receive a multimedia message and try to download it, I get "message receipt failed". Sometimes I receive the messages with no problem, and I don't have any problems sending multimedia messages at all, I just have a problem receiving them. Most of the time the message receipt would fail which has been making me frustrated. I have looked online for any solutions and had no luck at all. It was recommended for me to switch over to using a smartphone, but I don't want to because I use an iPod touch that almost does everything that an iPhone does and it saves me a bunch of money. I tried to restore my phone and reset everything and still the issue is still occurring.

    I am paying all this money for 'unlimited data,' and yet my data is being limited.
    SMS & MMS are not part of data access over a cellular network and cost money if one goes over their messaging allowance where email does not. The data exchange involved with sending and receiving email is included with unlimited data which costs all of $20/mo and includes 200 SMS which is the most reasonable by far unlimited data plan made available by any provider in the U.S. for any phone in the smart phone category. There is a 300KB or less message size limit with no such small message size limit with the exchange of email. All other phones need to catch up with this capability.
    It undermines and insults every Iphone/Apple customer who are the ones to thank for promulgating the company's success.
    For you and some others but not for me and definitely not for ALL iPhone owners which you don't and can't begin to speak for nor can anyone else. I rarely if ever used MMS with any previous cell phone - primarily because I wasn't interested in seeing a mediocre quality photo at best captured by a cell phone and viewed on a tiny little screen which wasn't the best either.

    while playing songs on BB. It just playing on it's own ansd powercycle. i have also noticed that when it dose this it disables my memory cleaner.  This did not start until i downloaded new version of blackberry software. Was told by my cell company to redwonlaod Bb software and this should help problem. Please help a curve user.

  • Odd, Green video in Adobe Premiere CS4?

    Hi! This has been happening to me a lot lately, and I really need a fix!
    When editing my projects, I will have imported a lot of video files.
    Before dragging those files into my timeline, I like to preview them.
    However, sometimes, the video does not play.  The sound does, but all I see in the preview are random frames from other video files that I have imported. (Ex. Say I preview a video of a dog barking, which works.  Then, I try to watch a video of a cat meowing.  I hear the cat perfectly, but random frames from the dog video are all I see in the preview area.)
    Random videos also turn green when previewd.  I will not be able to hear them, like last time, but the whole frame is green and I will not be able to see them. On the timeline they are black.
    I usually solve this problem by restarting, but I have to get this project done!
    I recently imported a WAV file and an mp3 file into my project. ***The video files are in MP4 video format.
    OS: Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU    Q8400  @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7Ghz
    Memory: 6142MB RAM
    Card name: ATI Radeon HD 4650
    Everything is on my C:/ Drive.

    Hi Everyone,
    Thanks so much for the initial response to my question - I really appreciate it!  Everyone in this forum is EXTREMELY helpful, and I hope I can find a solution.  I have taken your advice and am currently going through all of the troubleshooting stages listed in the above, but, have not yet had any luck thus far.  I figured I would post here, while I continue to troubleshoot on my end.
    Specific Problem:
    I have several .mp4 video files in my project timeline that I captured via a Hauppauge HD PVR capture card.  When I load the project, only some of the videos do not load properly.  The thumbnail photos for the videos that don't load properly are simply green, and when I play it, only the audio from the clip properly plays.  The video is either just a green screen, or it is a black screen with random still images from OTHER video files I have in the timeline.  When I restart the computer, and re-open the project, the affected video files are different every time.  I have about 40 or so different clips in this project, and the ones that seem to get affected by this problem are the ones that are last to load.
    Also, once the project is loaded, and I see that some of my video files are affected by this problem, the computer seems to really lag, and Premiere Pro has trouble operating.  Premiere Pro often gets the (Program Not Responding) message, and I have to force close it, and restart my computer, to ensure a fresh start.
    Also, when this PP is having its problems, my whole computer slows down.  I have a widget on the desktop that shows CPU and RAM usage.  When PP is having its problems, the RAM meter goes up to 95 - 100%.
    What I've Learned So Far:
    I downloaded and ran the Sherlock Codec Detector and the Gspot Codec program, and have determined that my computer is missing the following codecs:
    Broken Codecs
      "MainConcept (Adobe2) AAC Decoder"
         FileName       = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4\ad2daac.ax"
      "MainConcept (Adobe2) H.264/AVC Decoder"
         FileName       = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4\ad2dsh264.ax"
      "MainConcept (Adobe2) H.264/AVC Video Encoder"
         FileName       = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4\ad2evh264.ax"
      "MainConcept (Adobe2) MPEG Audio Encoder"
         FileName       = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4\ad2mceampeg.ax"
      "MainConcept (Adobe2) MPEG Video Encoder"
         FileName       = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4\ad2mcevmpeg.ax"
    When I click on each of the codecs, I get the following error message: "The driver file for this codec was not found. This probably means the codec was not unistalled properly".
    In Gspot, I have similar results, and it says the file is missing for these codecs.
    Do you guys think this is the problem?  If so, would it be a simple fix as to just download the codecs I am missing?

  • Bought new, discovered it was tampered with or refurbished, now at a loss with horrible customer service and dead phone

    I'm wondering where to go after 2 weeks playing CS phone tag, started with a tech call reguarding Iphone 5, battery issue, tech ran test, batt is consumed, went thru warranty talk then to Apple, as to our surprise once the serial number was ran , I purchased a bran new refurbished and battery previously swapped out phone thru our corporate Ver store, warranty is invalid and new batt was 80$, Apple tech was shocked... I let that settle for a few days, and began the worst ordeal and crap show of customer service since, I've made numerous calls, 1st being with christopher, whom claimed he talked with his supervisor and I was patient, talked about that they wouldn't swap battery, but replace phone with a refurb phone, contract is up 2/03/2015 , exlplained it would be less hassle and givin the time frame to renew contract and do the upgrade now, pay the upgrade cost and whatever, we are good customers , never file claims, or issues with contracts, seems simples, I've now talked to approx 5 supervisors from ID, ky, al and whom have alllllll confrimed they have taken notes, processed requests and will call back in such time, as of 4pm dec 7th I am no where fast, contract can not be upgraded, one supervisor claimed they where no longer making the iPhone 5? And would allow for a upgrade once she talked to tech service, however a magical cold transfer and 40 more minutes of retelling this insaine story, he was then going call back on a dif number so the issue ph could be used, never got the call, however Matt in ID WHO claimed such sympathy for all the hassle then texted me saying he couldn't get thru on my number, however could text, and by a tech texting myself , such poor grammar and then stating we could only have the 5 and 6+ 's are on back order. Beyond fed up and stressed, almost 6 hours on the phone and 10 days of hassle , yet we still have a phone that dies at 70% ....I've never seen such a lack of responsibly or communication , seems supervisors are really good at making statements to appease each situation with out any documentation . Can't bring myself to call again and go thru the issue over and over again, meanwhile getting same responses (excuses) from every area I've spoke to. Guess now when I purchase Verizon items I call good Ol Apple and run the serial numbers to make sure the fancy kindalooksnewplastic isn't the 2nd re wrap and buy a phone that's been tampered with and makes your monthly insurance and warrantys invalid . Money well spent kudos CS ...and no I'm not hunting down anyone via Twitter , I'm sure there's notes on our account that this crazy person is out of patience and trying to see what other cell company we could change to . Merry Christmas

    To clarify , we haven't serviced nor replaced the consumed battery . It has been noted as per Apple running the serial number that PRIOR to my purchasing the device, it had the battery replaced. Undocumented in detail, but showed up in Apple reports as replaced. Therefor creates a much wider issue than consumed battery issue, now we have the fact that 1. I paid for a new iPhone 5 16g with a renewed 2 yr contract, pay monthly for insurance on the device, however being that it has been worked on, that voided the 1 yr warranty and possibly the extended insurance program warranty as well, my corperate store can't handle this issue, given the extent of details, I stopped there today, to double check my receipt for original purchase to see if there was a CPO listed on my receipt, that is when they informed me they didn't acttially sell them there, nor if I did I wouldn't have paid full contract price either. More details, more time wasted on Verizon, knowing you all won't read the "fine" print.

  • Where can I find various high level examples of workflows being used

    I am about to start a project with TCS 3.5 and have been participating in the Adobe webinars to help learn components and specific techniques but what I am lacking is an understanding of various workflows I can model my project after or take bits from various sources. Why start with Framemaker in this workflow versus RoboHelp or even Word? Questions like this I think come from experience with the process and I am thinking that what I am getting myself into is a chessgame with all these pieces and don't want to paint myself into a corner by traveling down one route. I have seen this graphic:
    And this one:
    And this one:
    But they are too generic and do not contain enough information to really understand the descision making process one must go through on various projects.
    Can we have a series of webinars made, all with the underlining theme of defining a working process or workflow, by having guests describe how they have or are using this suite in real life on their own projects? One that might include a graphic showing the routes taken through the suite with reasons why?
    My project hopes to make a single source internal site that will tie together various 3D portable industrial coordinate metrology systems (hardware and software). It would be used as a dispersal site for help, communications between users and SME, OEM information, QA requirements, established processes, scripting snipet downloads, statistics, and training (including SOJT). Portable industrial metrology has 8 different softwares that are used and right now about 8 different instruments. These include laser trackers and radars, articulated arms, scanners, structered white and blue light to name a few. The softwares include Spatial Analyzer, Veriserf, CompIT, eMscon, AXYZ to a few there as well. I want to be able to participate and add content to an internal Sharpoint site, push content to users for stand-alone workstations, ePub, capture knowledge leaving the company through attrition, develop easy graphic rich job aid sheets, and aid in evaluations of emergent software and hardware. I would also like to leave the option open to use the finished product as a rosetta stone like translator between the software packages; doing this is the equivelent of doing this in these other software pacages for example.

    PDF is definately a format I want to include, to collaborate with other divisions and SME for one reason, but also for the ease in including 3D interactive target models with in it and portability. I plan on being able to provide individual PDFs that are very specific in their topics and to also use them to disperse user guides, cheat sheets or job aids... something the user may want to laminate on their own and keep with them for reference, printed out. Discussion in these sheets would be drasticly reduced to only the elements, relying heavely on bullet points or steps, usfull graphs, charts and tables... and of course illustrative images. I am thinking that these should be downloadable buttons to print on each topic section, not in a general apendix or such. They would hopefully be limited to one page, double sided 8x10.
    The cheet sheet would have a simplistic flow chart of how or where this specific topic fits in the bigger picture,
    The basic steps,
    Illustrations, equipment, setup
    Software settings for various situations in a table or chart,
    Typical result graph to judge with,
    Applicable QA, FAA regulation settings or concerns,
    Troubleshooting table,
    Topic SME contact info
    On the back, a screen shot infographic of software process
    The trouble here is that I have read that FM has a problem sometimes in succesfully transfering highly structured or formatted material to RoboHelp. Does this then mean that I would take it from FM straight to PDF?
    Our OEM material is very high level stuff... basicly for engineers and not shop floor users... but that is not to say they don't have some good material that could be useful. Our internal content is spread out across many different divisions and continents, with various ways of saying the same thing. This leads QA to interpret the information differently depending where the systems are put to work. We also have FAA requirements that need to be addressed and reminded to the user.
    Our company is starting to also see an exodus of the most knowledagble of the users through retirement. Capturing the knowledge and soft skill packages they have developed working here for 20-30 years is something I am really struggling with. I have only come up with two ideas so far:
    Internal User Web based Forum
    Interviews (some SMEs do not want to make the effort in transfering knowledge by participating in anything if it requires an effort they don't see of benefit to themseleves), to get video, audio or transcription records

  • Multiple values in 1 application context

    All, I'm trying to return multiple values from a query and store them in an application context.
    I have an employee that can be a part of multiple divisions. I already captured emp_id:
    dbms_session.set_context('COMPANY', 'emp_id', emp_id);
    but also want to capture division_id for the person. Most people will only have 1 division_id, but some will have multiple division_id's.
    What's the best way for me to capture multiple numeric values and store them in an application context like this.
    I'm trying to set up VPD policies and don't have to have to reissue a query every time I need to access the division_id.
    Thanks,
    Jon.

    One option would be to store a comma-delimited list of the division_ids in the context and then your VPD filter can use this and the TABLE function to limit the rows:
    sql>create or replace type NumberTable as table of number;
      2  /
    Type created.
    sql>create or replace function f_number_table(
      2    p_list       in  varchar2,
      3    p_delimiter  in  varchar2 default ',')
      4    return numbertable
      5  is
      6    v_string  long := p_list || p_delimiter;
      7    v_pos     pls_integer;
      8    v_data    numbertable := numbertable();
      9  begin
    10    loop
    11      v_pos := instr(v_string, p_delimiter);
    12      exit when (nvl(v_pos, 0) = 0);
    13      v_data.extend;
    14      v_data(v_data.count) := trim(substr(v_string, 1, v_pos - 1));
    15      v_string := substr(v_string, v_pos + 1);
    16    end loop;
    17    return (v_data);
    18  end f_number_table;
    19  /
    Function created.
    Then, in your VPD package:
    -- build a list of the division_ids by looping through a cursor
    -- set the context using this list of division_ids:
    dbms_session.set_context('company', 'div_id', '10,20');
    -- later, you would replace the literal value below with a call to sys_context to retrieve it
    sql>select empno, ename, deptno
      2    from emp
      3   where deptno in (select *
      4                      from table(f_number_table('10,20')));
        EMPNO ENAME         DEPTNO
         7782 CLARK             10
         7839 KING              10
         7934 MILLER            10
         7369 SMITH             20
         7876 ADAMS             20
         7902 FORD              20
         7788 SCOTT             20
         7566 JONES             20

    Explain clearly what you want to do, what you are doing and what the result is
      Open Premiere to do some work
    Be sure to mention if it is something that worked before using the same procedure
    Nothing has changed on the PC prior to program failure.
    Very importantly: Post details of troubleshooting you have already done to avoid "did that" reponses to questions people ask when trying to help.
    Tried:
    Reinstalling
    Reducing to one screen.
    Holding Shift when starting until first screen (New/ Open Existing/ Help)
    Holding Ctrl, Shift Alt when starting until first screen (New/ Open Existing/ Help)
    Programme crashed regardless of clicking directly on loading icon and opening New or Existing via first load screen, or via clicking directly from a project file.
    Removed all fonts installed since last opened.
    Restarting.
    Updated Graphics Driver.
    Updated Premiere

    Hi guys; I thought I would share my experience and how I managed to fix this problem. It might help someone.
    In my case I kept receiving this message; eventually after re-launching Premiere, I actually paid close attention to the "software loading" information and saw that it got stuck on my installed "Colorista ii" which is a colour grading software.
    Now the red bulb came on my head ping!
    I recently just upgraded my Mac to the OS X Yosemite & that affected pretty much any non-updated application, which in my case was that and many more of the Red Giant Pacakge; so I searched for the upgrade via Red giant Link, and low and behold I found it and did so. Immediately everything loaded up perfectly fine.. and now can't even do the work, cos I'm so exhausted from an 'almost heartattack'; so going to sleep and commence later in the day I guess..
    Now, you might probably want to check if any application on your system needs upgrading to whatever is the operating system on your Mac or PC at this very time. It might help.
    Always back-up.
    I hope I helped someone :-)
