My pinned apps tabs keep disappearing. They will stay for a week or so, then all of a sudden they're gone. I checked the forums and everything that was suggested there, I did or un-did. But there's no point in having the tabs if they don't stay.
My pinned apps tabs keep disappearing. They will be there for a week or so, then they just aren't there the next time I open the browser. My settings seem to be OK, i.e. no clearing of history, etc.
It's frustrating because then I have to go through the whole process of pinning everything as app tabs again.
Try the suggestion in this thread: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/840901 instead of the garbage above. You would think mozdevs who actually know a solution to this problem would post the solution in all the relevant threads.
If it doesnt work too, I'm ready to get rid of FF as my primary browser.
Why bother providing a feature thats buggy ?? I once wasted my time pinning 20 apps over and over again till I realized it was poorly written and unsupported.

If by resetting to factory settings you mean she erased the drive and reinstalled the operating system, OS X, then yes all data thatwas on it is gone. That is why apple included time machine so you can make backups of your data.

This has been going on for days now. I've tried everything that was suggested in the help section with no success. I can get on gmail & facebook just fine but can't access craigslist or any other regular sites I frequent. I keep getting "problem loading the page" "connection was reset" I've tried IE & google chrome & I can't even get on https on the other browsers. Good for you that can't update your iphone because I did it and my iphone dosen't work for example I can't download any app like Wecaht or Twitter..

In addition, i tried to re-install Firefox many times, without a result. In the time these lines are written, I am using Google Chrome to surf the web.

These Error messages appear in the Error Console of the just now downloaded Firefox 4.0. In the previous version, 3.6.12, before removing it, I noticed two more error messages in the error console, like the two last as listed above: With the nema ERROR.
I am forced now to use Chrome, and I dislike that!
Some could suspect that Google has sabbotaged firefox to get its popularity by forcing users to change browsing programms by giving them a hidden worm..?? :P

O I guess my question was too long. To reiterate, my Macbook stopped sending iMessages and states that my fellow iContacts are not registered with imessages. My phone is dead and I need to get a hold of a couple of people, but can't due to this problem. HELP!

ipod touch stuck in restore mode. Before I downloaded Lion every time I would upload a pic from iphoto there would be two files. One that was 1.8MB and another that was 50KB. Now I can only find the 1.8MB one. Did this option disappear with Lion? I really need this option!

Do you mean in the All Images search in the Finder?
IF so:
1.Never interact with photos that are in iPhoto via the All Images Search. This does not understand the iPhoto Library and it's very, very easy to damage the library this way.
2. What you were seeing was the original file you imported and the thumbnail created by iPhoto for viewing on the iPhoto Window. That thumbnail is not designed for user access.
What are you trying to do ultimately?

some apps are "waiting" to be install. They stuck there like there were no link to network but there is.
Try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song, movie, TV Show or podcast in the podcast app.... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
Do a search in the App Store for one of the apps that needs an update. Tap on the app icon when it appears in the search. Tap on the Update or Install button next to the app icon (if it shows up).
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad. -
My toolbars and even my Firefox tab keep disappearing. How do I get them back?
I have tried everything. Your chat does not answer me. I need help.
On your website the Firefox tab is at the top and my normal tool bar is at the bottom.
However, all the add-on toolbars, ie, Roboform and google and My Points are missing.
But, when I click on the web browser Firefox opens with NO toolbars top or bottom and NO Firefox tab. How do I fix this and stop it from happening again and again?I did the same thing last night also with my MacBook Pro. None of my music, video or photos not taken originally on my iphone were reloaded back onto my phone. I received an error message instead. I had to just re-drag the music and videos that I wanted back to my iphone. As far as my photos taken on my iphone...by chance, I had just backed those up earlier that day. I'm not sure where the photos are that I had put on my iphone in the beginning...they still show up in people's contacts, but they no longer show up under photos - ? This is very frustrating!

i use itunes to play music through my airport express but sometimes the songs cut out sporatically. a song will be playing along then all of a sudden there is intermittant music and silence. What could be causing this?
I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!! -
Why would my Acrobat tab keep disappearing from my Office programs?
Every so often, my Acrobat tab keeps disappearing from my Office programs. It seems totally random, but happens when I am actually using the tool to convert a word doc or excel spreadsheet to PDF. I am using Office 2007 Professional and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
I have no problems getting the Acrobat tab back by doing the following:
1. Close the affected Office program (ie Word, Excel etc)
2. Reopen the affected Office program as Administrator.
3. Go into Options >Add-Ins> COM addins and delete the existing Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin.
4. Click OKs and close the program.
5. Reopen as Administrator and go back to Options >Add-Ins> COM addins and Add Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin.
(The add in for me is stored at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Office and select the PDFMOfficeAddin.dll file. )
Once I add it back this way, it stays for sometimes up to 2 months, but then disappears again. I've had this happen in Word and Excel.
So getting it back is not an issue, but knowing what it happens in the first place and stopping that occurrence would be even better.

Thank youYeah.. I just noticed I was missing stuff last week, and then realized that my Apple TV was not showing up in my iTunes device list. I'm just hoping that the silence on this issue from Apple is a sign that they are getting ready to push out an update to correct either itunes or Apple TV. I've read lots of complaints, and just a few remedies. I've tried the remedies (including the one on the Apple TV support site) and none of them work for me. I have noticed one thing that that I wanted to try. In iTunes->Preferences->Apple TV I have an Apple TV in the "Apple TV's connected to iTunes" window, that shows a status of syncing. Since I don't have an Apple TV in the device list, and my Apple TV was reset days ago so it is giving me the code to enter into iTunes, can I assume that this item can and should be deleted. I don't think this is going to solve my problem, but it looks like a good next step. Any suggestions?

To download any photos that were on your My Photos Stream, then you will need to have Photo Streamed turned on within your computer. Keep in mind that My Photos Stream only holds the last 30 days of photos and those will be the only one that will download. BOught gems in clash of clans and did not recieve them. Went to the forums and it said go to apple support. Apple support said go to the developer what do I do because they say go to each other?
You need to take it up with the developer first. If they don't fix things, you need to open the issue with iTunes support.
Going by the threads here, not a day goes by that someone doesn't have an issue with in app purchases in Clash of Clans. -
